    The finishing and clicking on GS boots and shoes are unreal for the price!
    Some people don't like that the boots are made in China but Wyatt is super open and honest about it.
    Check out what Ben from Stitchdown had to say about it! "the Brass is a perfect boot for someone who doesn’t have an overly large, “complete” collection. For them, it’s the boot that can cover a huge percentage of a small lineup’s wears through its versatility."
    Grant Stone punches well above it's weight in terms of build quality, finishing and materials. When I head back to the office, eventually, I'll be getting some of their derbies and oxfords for sure!

    The Grant Stone has really impressed me. I'd rather the Grant Stone over the Wolverine, Red Wing, and even over the Alden Indy boot. For the price and quality...one cannot beat the Grant Stone Brass Boot. Grant Stone is a formidable brand, I believe, fully competes and even surpasses the more established brands of today. Cannot go wrong with a Grant Stone product.

    Listen I just bought that very Brass Dune boot in the ChromXl tanning and finish. When I say my boots are heavy my goodness. It’s weight indicates pure quality and craftsmanship. These boots are at 300.00 bucks still a value for serious shoe guys. You just have to deal with the sizing due to only online availability. I simply love the packaging what a class act Grant Stone is my new go to for my footwear seriously. Super sturdy and just beautiful.

    I love the look of the se boots but I'm having trouble finding pairs that have been well worn. That bulging toe looks great out of the box, but I have to wonder how outrageous it gets with wear and with an established crease in the boot. great review though and very nice outdoor action shots.

    Just for the record, I'm a near prefect 13 on the brannock, I own a pair of the Ottawa boots in size 12, and they fit like a glove. I also wear a 12 in the Iron Rangers. If you know your 'Red Wing size', it will probably be your 'Grant Stone size' as well.
    Too, Grant Stone are amazing boots. If you got 450$ to drop on a pair of shoes, make it a pair of Grant Stones. You won't regret it. Well, maybe during break-in. Worst of any boots I've ever owned. But it's worth it. Soooooooo worth it.

If somebody is really getting down on the floor at comic-con to count the stitches, I feel I'd have the right to kick them for it. Excellent looking pair, hope mine are just as good. • @Garvey-vm3qt
      @Garvey-vm3qt 2 года назад

      From the looks of it, the brass boot will be better for water resistance since it has a split reverse welt and the field boot has a standard Goodyear welt. They’re on the same last (the Floyd last), so they should feel similar, but the field boot is also unlined in the shaft, so again the brass boot is probably the better choice for winter. Not to mention that stylistically the brass boot will be much more versatile in a city environment. Hope this helps :)

    So the sizing is a bit inaccurate. I just bought a pair of Ottawa’s and I wear size 10D in sneakers but when I went with a 9.5D it was too big. I went with the same size as my TBC boots and Cole Haan’s and it was too big. It fit but I would need to get some insoles for it to fit well. I went with a 9D and they fit perfectly. Also, the ball of the boot is wider than most other D width boots/shoes so you may not even need an E width in GS’s but the choice is always up to the buyer.

    • @whereRbearsTeeth

    Regarding the ‘made in china’ aspect, there’s another vid that looked deeper into it and more or less stated that even with the sweatshop stigma behind being made in China the protocols behind making this boot are on par with the US-made or equivalent standard. I’m sure not all of China’s production are sweatshops. I mean, check the labels on your so-called high-end/luxury brands. They’re definitely not coming from any western country. I support all my local/domestic businesses, but if it’s quality that matters to you, then the geography of origin shouldn’t matter.
