- As the title says, this vid is about an updated trainz 4449...
First I would like to thank fellow user celman11 for repainting this beauty!!!
The original was an awesome model, dont get me wrong, but the new paint & rod work makes it look awesome.
This could be called my tribute to the Trainz Daylight models.
Anyways, ENJOY!

bruh hard to believe this was 9 years ago. Trainz has certainly come a long way, tho I do miss this era regardless.
and now we have stuff like daylightrain's gs classes, but i still leave this old one downloaded just for nostalgia

@4toac first go into content manger,content, or mange content its in the launcher for Trs2012 and find your loco example: Southern Ps4 got ur train right click on muse over your engine there it could say edit go into edit and then go to edit in content creater plus and u can modify hornsound and enginespec, etc. After that it's important to go all the way to the bottom to kuid table and find hornsound and change to your chosen hornsound then it should have no red letters if u did this correctly.

@SCL3618 Yeah, too bad in 2009 they replaced that light with a new amber colored mars light. I don't know what I think of it because the 4449 wore that light since she came out of Lima! How could they replace it!
Hey, I’m working on completely updating and overhauling this original model for Trainz and have permission from the original creator to re-release. I would like to maybe make an updated version of this reskin too if you still happen to have it. I realize this video is old and so is the model, but I’m making the updated version as sort of a Trainz throwback for newer versions such as TRS19 and Trainz a New Era/TS12. If you would be willing to send me this old reskin. I would greatly appreciate it!

@@SCL3618 No problem! I doubt it with how old it is, but would you happen to know if anyone else may have it kicking around somewhere?
Same for the black BNSF 4449 that was on Trainz Commuter Rail? I’ve been searching the internet and Trainz forums and have come up empty handed so far. Trainz Commuter Rail was force converted by Tapatalk when they took over Zetaboards and the reskin (along with everything else on the site) was lost.
As far as this project goes, I consider Trainz old enough to have its own history at this point and I figure this is a great way to preserve it!

@@mrtreadmill355 I see I posted this comment 10 months ago. It unfortunately has not been finished and I apologize.
I have had a whirl-wagon of life thrown at me since then including a major ankle surgery and car crash among many other things, all between college and work.
I HOPE to maybe get something done by sometime next year, but I can not make any promises. I actually have a proof of concept sort of done, but it’s “rough” and not presentable or ready for release.
I want to sort of go “all out” and make a mega pack out of it with all sorts of variations that capture what was popular with this era of Trainz and bring it into the modern versions and even some modern improvements on it, but still the original model nonetheless.
Put simpler, I’m kinda a perfectionist which leads to many ideas I’ve had from many years ago still waiting to be released. 😅

@4toac well did u download all the assets plus if engines with 8 example 4-8-2 or 4-8-4 on the download station will not work it could only work with trs2009 sp4 or trs2010 but with problems hope this helps p.s. if it has red letters modify it in content manger to make it work that might work for most engines
@4toac I'm not sure if it will work in 2012. The newest game I've seen this is was TRS 2010,

@fishworldhacker Well, lib did a great job on his model, but the latter updates look better than the original. Sure, this model might be a bit outdated, but my friend put a good amount of time into repainting this. But either way, a cheap model is better than no model at all. lol

If you think this version of this locomotive is awesome in detail, Look up Rail works Three 4449 Daylight and look at thoose graphics. First time i played it, i shit my pants.

Taffyta Muttonfudge you cloud get a 4449 From Jointed Rail But i dont recomend it. 1.the model is too detailed The Dls one is better 2. if you have either TRS2009 or TRS2006 it won't work
Taffyta Muttonfudge you cloud get one from trainz commuter rail but you'll have to ask somebody to send you the bogeys for the 4449. also you'll have to register
and your SP 4449 is not on the download station it saids on my Content Manager at its not on the Download Station
