I think he calls Elphelt and Ramlethal by their names because he had direct meaningful interactions with them in story mode, plus since they're related to Jack-O they are kinda part of his family (as alluded to in that funny scene with Ky)

i want to think that sol calls venom dreary/gloomy mostly due to venom's overarching character story being that he hates his perpetuated existence, and once found himself drawn to sol in hopes that he'd kill him in a fight (i believe this was in xx? definitely before ac+r)
but i could be reading into this WAY too hard considering. it's sol. he doesn't have a strong opinion on anyone either way lol
