The architect and construction team pulled off a modern miracle of tower slipform concrete technique. It is truly amazing as the structure climbed skyward while a hydraulic platform simultaneously set the structural rebar and the concrete pumped into the form as it was gradually raised. At the top a crane was installed and the restaurant platform was hoisted up in pieces. I believe it has been voted the most admired structure by fellow architects.

My husband and I live 2 hours south of Seattle. So much fun to watch these Vlogs and see familiar places. Seattle loves its Art, and it feels like every time we go up there, they are adding pieces around the city. AND WOW, THE PRICE HAS WENT UP ON THE SPACE NEEDLE! We used to be able to go to the observation deck for $5.00. They put up all the glass and stuff to keep people from parachuting off the deck. that used to be a real problem. I loved the Vlog!

Great Vlog! Beautiful scenery! A classic Aristocrat trailer! As a teenager I spent a month with a much older, married couple friends of mine in their same model trailer on a road trip from Granada Hills, Ca. up to my first trip to Oregon. The man was like a Mr. Miagi to me, we were such good friends! Still have a picture that they took of me, at age 17, standing in front of their trailer. Thanks for you vlog bringing up such a good memories!!!
This was a fun vlog! As a resident of Olympia, we have been up to Seattle many times to games, ( Seahawks won yesterday...!!!), AND of course the Space Needle is the Best! But I must say, I was most impressed by Amy's Cousin's Vintage Travel Trailer...I Absolutely Love that thing! I am a huge collector of that era, and with my husband have a couple jukeboxes and other things old...It's "our thing".... This vlog actually showed me how much of a "fear of heights" I developed in my mid 40's. I saw it and felt it again when you were at the top of the Space Needle. How bizaar. I originally developed it from a super high and narrow bridge over the Mississippi in Louisiana, about 1.5 hrs west of NOLA. I've had this stupid phobia ever since. Nice trip to Seattle. Never been there.

As far as the colossal heads go, I don’t believe there is any significance specifically to them however throughout both stadiums and several other public venues in Washington are art installations that were sponsored by a Washington art group. As I recall there are some 11 or 12 artists that are featured throughout CenturyLink Field. But I’m sure if I said anything wrong here someone will be able to update it further and correct me. 🤠

A block from the Jimi statue is an Elvis statue. Also very cool is a office/business that is in an old 1930's car dealer. A few desks where people are working and an old restored car in the middle of the office.
This vlog was a lot of fun. I watched it earlier today but I had to go to the doctor and haven't been able to comment till now. It looks like you both were having so much fun. Amy looks very cute in her new top. I also loved that vintage camper that they showed us. I can't remember which relative it was but I like the fact that she used it as a getaway so she can relax. I liked it when you went up the Space Needle but I don't really think I would like to walk on that glass walkway. I'm not really good with Heights. I've always wondered what it was like to visit the Needle. I can't believe how expensive it is! Prices are so through the roof these days. I see there's remnants of the fair in the park. It actually was very small fair compared to the next in NY in '64.By the way, the trailer is awesome!!! I'd love to have it. I'd make it my home!
Space needle reminds me of that episode of Frasier were they had a 1000th show celebration set up at the base of the needle, but sadly events conspired against the good Dr making to his own party :) Great video Jordan and Amy looking fantastic.

The space needle recently finished a multi-year refurbishment. The rotating glass level used to be a restaurant. It's too bad they took it out. It was always a thrill to go there for a special celebration even though it was expensive. It took one hour to make the complete revolution and was breathtaking on a clear, bright day while you enjoyed dinner or lunch.
Great Vlog, Thanks for taking us along. Kind of sad that everything is either closed or boarded up. Hopefully we will get back to normal soon. Glad the Space Needle and that shop were open though.
