… it bothers me so much, while Blackbeard revealed as major threat = All 3 admirals are chasing down Luffy and wasting so much time doing it. 3 admirals could have crushed Blackbeard right there, yet by the end… they just let Blackbeard run off with no effort to chasing him down.
I do wanna mention abt the scar, we have no real context to the situation, but it isn’t an upscale for BB. Shanks had the scar when luffy was a child, I believe that was 5 yrs prior to the beginning, but if not, it is close, within another 2/3yr gap. When the story started, after BB got the darkness fruit, he was brought anywhere from mid-high dif fighting ace, meaning he was still a YC lvl fighter. So unless u think BB regressed in strengt, then it isn’t an upscale. It just means that this serious shanks was not a yonko lvl fighter at that point in the story. That’s like saying it’s impressive that Kizaru could kick Luffy around in marineford. BB and Shanks were likely relative at the time, and it’s even possible that BB was stronger than that Shanks, but while shanks became a captain and grew significantly since then, BB has waited under WB’s command until his dream was within his reach, and then he started growing again. No matter what happened since then, whether BB grew significantly, or stagnated for those years, it’s nigh impossible that he regressed in strength since then.
Hard to compare fanfav whitout Any reasonable feat vs Future Antagonist whit mostly old feats that Look weak compared to the current Action but i gues shanks wins easy based on what we have seein

You’ve got to be kidding me Shanks didn’t even fight Kid while Teach put in the work and actually defeated Law sneaking up on unexpecting opponent mid attack doesn’t make you stronger and I guarantee you if Kid didn’t get hit by 2 Yonko level finishers Divine deperture and Danmed punk he would’ve been able to put up more of a fight and ran shanks crew at least

So its hard to say one is Stronger the only Argument you May can Bring Up is the Red movie witch would make shanks have better feats but in the other Hand you can Just say that Blackbeard will surpass shanks since he ist Most likely the Last Antagonist Luffy will have beside imu and maybe akaino who i think wont be a Antagonist and also Switch Side in the Future
