Ford is the only brand to keep American muscle cars alive since the discontinuation of the Chevy Camaro and Dodge Challenger. Furthermore, Ford kept producing the Mustang since its debut only because its popularity skyrocketed and then it ended up being too iconic to discontinue. I really admire the Mustang because it remains RWD-only with a V8 which is exactly what American muscle cars need for tradition and Ford said they’ll never stop fighting to keep the V8 despite many other brands planning to go fully electric. Thanks a lot Ford and huge respect for keeping tradition alive since it’s now the only American muscle car in production. Now we just need a full-size 4-door sedan variant of the Mustang to fill in the previous Dodge Charger’s empty space for American 4-door muscle cars. I’m sure it’ll become the best-selling American sedan like the previous Charger was despite the controversy of a non-2-door-coupe Mustang because it’ll be practically identical to it and also be the only big American V8 sedan in production. Furthermore, if the Escape and Edge are going to be replaced by EVs, there will be an even bigger offset to keep offering V8s.
I like the variety of Mustangs (Not you Mach E, sit down) Ford is putting out now, but the 7th gen just isn't enough to get me to even think about trading in my S550 Bullitt.

(Don’t get me wrong, I love the EcoBoost stangs as well but it’s hard to beat that V8 :D) The mustang’s future truly relies on real combustion engines. It would never be the same if they went all electric, and would be pretty heartbreaking as well. With that said, I’m super excited to see what the mustang team has for us next! Knowing Ford, it will probably be amazing! Keep up the great work guys! :)
The Mach E will never be a Mustang as long as it is a crossover. You guys had one shot to introduce an electric Mustang and you all bumbled it by introducing a crossover.
I’m not gonna lie. I never did like Mustang before, but when I was going to the dealership to get a scat pack and they want way too much for that car that’s when I saw the GT 5.0 and they crank it up for me and I fell in love faster, easy to work on and different styles and ways you can make it look compared to Mopar js I think I made the right choice 🏎️
Thats my guess. I mean, they need something to stay competitive with the new Dodge Daytona EV, otherwise it's the current Mach E vs the Daytona, and I think we all know how that would end...
The MachE is a Focus not a Mustang. Ford had to have had a lack of confidence in the product and hung the Mustang name on the vehicle. Absolutely shameful! Taurus would have been the name on that product.
@@whpony96 The Mocker-E can only give full power and full acceleration for 5 seconds then it accelerate slowly while modern V8 Mustang's pass by the Mocker-E before the quarter mile. It loses to 2018 and up V8 Mustangs in roll races too. Also modern I.C.E. Mustangs outperform it in braking, handling, cost, and top speed.
Dear lord....all corp talk and banter, true ford and mustang people know the history and dont need all the talk. Show us what's coming and how its on price point as a performance bargain like mustang use to be...long gone are those days for any car...but especially the mustang you could buy and modify easily. 4th video I've watched from ford where theres no soul in the presentation and just scripted "this is what we've done for 60 years"....no...the past 54 years people before you made it what it is...the past 6 you've made it a salespoint and profit pony which will kill it....trust and believe you walking right behind GM and Dodge.....

Home run except I wish the new rims could be had in 15 or 16 inch for a more retro feel and wish some of the first model year colors came back for this release.
The heritage of Mustang, the REAL reason it was successful, is AFFORDABILITY. Racing may be ok for some, but Mustang would not still be around today if it had not been affordable to the masses. I saw no messaging in this video about affordability. That omission needs to be corrected in the mindset of the team leading Mustang's future. Mustangs today are NOT affordable. I'm a Ford retiree, I have 2 Mustangs, one convertible and one coupe, neither are V8's. I love V8's too, but they are especially unaffordable and Ford needs to get back in the gasoline engine market with AFFORDABLE cars (and no turbos).

Ever wonder how there could be a 60th anniversary during this time when there was no Mustang from 74-78. A separate vehicle called the Mustang II was being made instead. Guess when the Government mandates gas powered vehicles obsolete, the Mustang Mach E will continue on the continuation from the 60th anniversary. By the way I am a Ford fan and own a Fox Platform but not a fan when it comes to gimmicks or marketing. Camaro 50th Anniversary (2003-2009 missing) and Corvette 60th Anniversary (1983 missing).
Cannot believe you would give an EV a classic name such as a Mustang. You are destroying an icon. You should of called it Ford EV. Yuk, yuk, yuk. I do not think it will be a big seller here in Australia.
