- Born in Oahu, used to live in Japan during her childhood up to age 13. After finishing up her schooling in Hawaii, her passion for design led her to go to school in LA for Graphic design. Growing up speaking mandarin, she also went to Shanghai, China to study Chinese and study business. She also appeared on a reality TV show - Terrace House Aloha State on Netflix - there she created her own brand ILA SWIM. In her free time she likes to be outdoors, surfing, hiking and spending time with family. Avian currently helps out her Mom, Yaya, run their 2 “88 Tees” store locations where you can find her own brands, including ILA SWIM. “88 Tees” was established in 1988 with a simple belief “Every Fit For Every Style”. Yaya, an iconic character, along with her family embodies the Aloha spirit and lifestyle - sharing happiness and affection with others. Avian was my fave in Aloha State, pretty, great personality, hardworking and mature. She had a good run on the season, lovelife, friendship and career. She was so cute with Yuya and her friendship with Lauren was one of the best on AS.
Brooke is really rude. Let your guest speak and do research before your guest is here. Brooke literally knew nothing about Terrace House. It's just rude and unprofessional.

Love Lauren on Terrace House she was one of my favorites. All my love from USA 🇺🇸 I binged for 2 weeks on all of the Terrace House all the years. I think Terrace House was done better than American reality shows bc less fighting. They work out problems. Helped each other to reach their goals being very supportive. He was cute 🥰 younger but age is just a thing. Sometimes long distance relationships don’t workout.
Lauren Tsai is another Hawaii actress who has appeared on Terrance House.
What i loved about the season on Hawaii is that the most of them was so mature even though they was young its heartbroken what happened to Hana she appears too strong but everyone was judging her 😔😔😔 however i wish the best for all the members 🥰🥰🥰

The series was so crazy, people falling in love and catching feelings with other roommates.

Great show but I was hoping for Avian's thoughts on the suicide of one of the guests in the last Terrace House season which caused the show to be temporarily cancelled.
You can tell the Hosts didn't know much about Terrace House. They asked if the show was still going on. Felt like Avian was about to say something about it before they moved on.

I hope avian and yuya will get back together. They are very happy couple in the show. I wish to see them both ☺️

I always felt like Avian was too good for Yuya honestly. He seems like a nice guy and he’s good looking, but Avian was so solid and mature. She also seemed much more sophisticated. Like when they went to the Sky Lounge she was all dolled up (and looked phenomenal), while dude had on like jeans, kicks, an open button shirt over a white tee and a backwards cap. My man couldn’t spring for a decent blazer?
He was a student and a teenager though right? Avian is a couple of years older than him. I thought their dates were cute.
