Love your honesty and vulnerability in this video. I love to see these types of videos of a person actually feeling different things, talk about those feelings and continuing living and reflecting on their situation. It feels comforting to know I am not alone in my patterns of thoughts and actions. I also love that I got to see a small journey from a worse time to a better time, and get a reminder that life is worse sometimes but it is not forever. Also thank you for reminding us to be kind to oneself. And others, also important. Thank you for the video.
Omg I was yelling 'TWO BY TWO RIBBING' at the screen while you were talking about the neckline, so glad you went with that! It looks great. Appreciate the vulnerable vibe, too, I think it's a reality that so many of us deal with. know I relate (also live alone, early forties, writer for a living, crafting for mental health)!
So glad I redid the ribbing! I’m glad you like the two by two - I think it looks so much better. And phew yes living and working alone is both luxurious and lonely ❤
Loving your vlog. Am appreciating your honesty and commentary on mental health. Of course I also love your knitting as well. Don’t listen to the ‘nay sayers’ they have there own issues, and are not worth your time, energy or consideration.
for the bottom rib, i would give the whole thing a good block since all the ribbing will expand, then make your call after - everything will likely hang quite differently once its washed, and you might be able to sort of manipulate it during blocking to get it to something you're happy with without needing to redo it! on the flip side, if you know it isn't what you want, then id just redo it now before the sleeves are on to make life slightly easier xx
I am new to your channel so catching up. Also 'new' to knitting. I usually cross stitch a lot but recently got right into knitting after many failed attempts. Im actually getting it now and understanding more about it although circular needles intimidate me a little 😅 have just finished a pink jumper for myself, found wool in Home Bargains of all places, DK weight but has a very silky feel and knits up lose so my jumper is going to be super slouchy. My mums going to help me with the neckline and to sew it all together at the weekend. Knitting, cross stitch and crochet absolutely has helped me through my depression and anxiety over the years. I was very poorly with it around 10 years ago when my dad passed away and just remember stitching and crocheting all of the things. Much better now these days but some days yeah, I can fully understand when you dont want to deal with people or anything. My husband is so understanding and knows to leave me in my bitch cave to knit or cross stitch. Thank you for being so open and honest in this vlog xxxxx
Loved your comment on self care being focused on feeling good "in the moment". Thank you for putting into words feelings that I feel. Sometimes the fun self care things aren't fun if you've also got a looming pile of life jobs to do too. I's never been able to articulate it, but this fits perfectly
On the ribbing: I would rework, it looks a bit droopy to me? I think it would look really good just *slightly* tapered in, especially because the sleeves will make the top of the body look wider. Also, is it me or does the (your) left side sit slightly lower than the right? Then again, you might be able to fix all of this with a good blocking:)
Thank you! It does look droopy, and it sort of ripples a little at certain angles - I think it does need to be tapered in. I’ll do the sleeves first and then come up with an action plan. I don’t think it’s uneven on the left side, but my shoulders sometimes look a little lopsided because I injured my right one a while ago - could be that?
@@CinemaKnits Yeah, that could totally be it. I think you're going to be fine after some tightening and blocking. Can't wait to see how this comes out!

Yes! I’m not allowed to post links on here yet for some reason, but the designer is Honse Design, she has a website and an instagram :)
