- Cancion Mixteca is an old folk song I first heard on the soundtrack of the movie "Paris Texas" by Ry Cooder. I always request this from the Mariachi bands when down in Mexico. Here's my recording of it, including a few scenes from the Bucerias area. Enjoy!

No, I worked it out by ear approximately, from the version on the Paris, Texas soundtrack.

It is, from the Paris Texas soundtrack. I tried my best to figure out how he played it. Since I made this I've realized there's a couple places where my version is not exactly the same as his, but that's ok ;)
@@GordWait I thought that Ry's version was an open tuning,but I realized after that is in the standard tuning,as you play it,and I love it like this
