Marijuana is an antidepressant/anti anxiety med as well as anti epileptic med. if Flo Jo did cannabis she might’ve lived because she died from a seizure.
@Captain BP&J that's a singular experience. Weed is not a performance enhancing drug in any form. What might cause you relief might cause others terror, what gives you clarity might give others a haze. The only argument someone can have for cannabis is the medicinal benefits for inflammation. The mental aspect is riddled garbage. Test have proven, both mental and physical, that people who are not habitual users of cannabis score much higher on the stated test under sober conditions. The notion of "I do things better high" is a bs deflection from smokers who do not want to admit to an addiction. - 20 year hardcore grower/smoker that finally decided to face reality instead of living in a comfortable caccoon of imprisonment.
Also, we don’t know if everyone else followed the rules and just didn’t get caught. Weed is easy to flush out your system before a urine test. A lot of career/educated people smoke weed because their are less side effects than fda drugs. Anti depressants and other fda drugs cause seizures and marijuana prevents seizures. This is why it was demonized by corporations/politicians. It can effectively put pharmaceuticals out of business. Follow the money. The only reason it’s legal is so they can profit now.

I commend this young lady who's *OWNED UP TO HER MISTAKE!* *RIGHT or WRONG, LEGAL or ILLEGAL,* She *KNOWS* that she's *NOT ALLOWED TO DO THAT KIND OF ACTIVITY* while being active with the Olympics! *MOST ADULTS TODAY* would have been crying out for mercy then threatening to sue the board! I've heard *PLENTY* of excuses before!! The most common one, *How do I know you didn't plant something in my urine test? I'm clean! I've NEVER smoked pot a day in my life! I've NEVER taken steroids to gain muscle mass!* The excuses are *ENDLESS!* I know because I give drug tests on a daily basis!! What's worse, is the lengths that people will go through to try & get the drugs *OUT* of their body if they even *THINK* there is a chance of a drug test being popped on them!! I think that's why Miss. Richardson handled her situation like a *CHAMPION!* She'll still be able to get the *REAL MEDAL* that she's been working so *HARD* to get!! She's just got to get over this hurdle first!!

Just like any job...u test positive for pot you pay for it. ANY adult knows that
Marijuana is an antidepressant/anti anxiety med as well as anti epileptic med. if Flo Jo did cannabis she might’ve lived because she died from a seizure.

Really sad that she found out her mother died through an interview
So, doing drugs is OK when you find out your mother died in an interview? Only the left can do logical contortions like this.

Shouldn't have to use mom as an excuse to cover up your drug habit, kind of pathetic really... let all her fans down too.
@@jorgejeffries5855 seriously so I'm guessing you have not sin excepting people to be perfect
I'm expecting if you smoke weed habitually you shouldn't be surprised these rules have been around forever, and they apply to you, you are not special, you can't choose to break them and then cry for a movement for change. She didn't do it just one time because her mom died, she does it all the time and used her mom as an excuse as to why she let her fans down.. pathetic.
She will be back faster as a sprinter and stronger as a woman.
Ghost DNA says otherwise
Nobody talks about how a reporter brought up her biological mother’s death out of the blue instead of discussing and disclosing it privately to her and her family. That’s probably why she puffed on one!
Exactly! No one has mentioned the lack of integrity by the reporter
I thought she told the reporter when she ran the trails I heard her tell him cause he said ...wait did you say you lost your mother...she said yes my biological mother...so that gave them (reporters) fuel for 🔥..
I pray and hope they give her another chance i really love her as a young black athlete and she is so beautiful
@@rosalynmartin3171 She did. You can hear it on playback.
@@rosalynmartin3171 For clarity - she shared it in a post race interview after her race. She was informed a week prior to the race of the death. In addition, the way she shared the information she was informing the reporter and the people watching what she had been through…which is GRIEF.
I dont think weed is a body enchancer unlike steroids.
LMFAO not at all. If you can smoke weed and run 100m in 10 seconds, that's insanity. She got suspended because those are the rules, but if anything, she's running that fast with limited lung capacity. She's amazing
@@mikajen9126 are they still going to allow her to run eventually?
@A A Who cares about Tokyo with no fans or people
This was an excellent interview done with compassion. The way this young lady held her composure brought tears to my eyes. It is obvious she is still struggling with grief and shock after being blindsided by a complete stranger that her biological mother died. This is a hard lesson learned and she's taking full accountability of her actions. Run on Sha'Carri!
I WOULD BE SHOCKED IF A REPORTER TOLD ME MY MOM JUST DIED AND I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW MYSELF.

Thats just trying to justify her. Stop it, she broke the rules and she deserves to be out

Where are all the people saying I was hating on Shacarri when I was pointing out that she needs to clean up her image and humble herself. A lot sprinters don't like her because they think she is too cocky. Her colleagues definitely are not going to feel sorry for her. Hopefully, she will learn from this and humble herself a little bit - because when you lose or get in trouble with that arrogant attitude best believe people will be coming after you. I pointed this out a couple of weeks ago about that for Shacarri not to lose sponsors she needs to clean up her act. People were throwing insults at me saying " I cannot be happy for a black woman". - now look. This has nothing to do with race, it's common sense. It seems the United States has thrown morals and values out the window - as long as you are winning, you can do no wrong. These athletes are human too, so there is nothing wrong in pointing out their shortcomings - it does not mean I am hating on her.
@@sean-et4wr I think this may have humbled her a bit. I think this sense of humility will benefit her as she returns. It's just weed, but many athletes are required to live a totally different lifestyle than average people. She knew what she did.
