I bought this watch on 2019, it looks retro and sports car oriented. Still my fav digital watch.

Sold! Yep, im getting one of these. I agree the black and yellow colour is the best option, looks great on that mustard nato. I find notched corner straps (canvas or leather)best for swapping out casio straps. They bring it out from 18mm to the outside of the lugs which gives it a wider look. Another great video mate, you're knocking them out the park at the moment!! 👍
They are both inexpensive so I bought both....and put metal cases with sapphire glass and skxmod dial frames. Love 'em both.
I really like the yellow and black number but I think I'd have to side with the AE-1200 myself. I modded mine to fully SS and is my ultimate beater
I have eyed up those mod kits that make it titanium and sapphire. I'll have to see if it's compatible with this model 👀
I just bought a replacement band for this watch today, I've been wearing it since 2020, literally everywhere from work, camping, parties, and around the house. Mine is still going strong although scuffed up the only issue was the strap eventually ripped so with the new strap im hoping to keep this thing until the battery gives out! Great Video
Agreed! I have the Ae-1300wh-1a2vef with the mauve writing. I think it's the most understated one. The only Casio I own. Note that the color of the writing is a lot more subdued in real life than it might appear on stock pictures. The yellow one was my second choice.

I strongly suggest to keep the original protective plastic film as an approximate template.
Purchase a screen protector film (example Palm) for phone screens etc.
Then custom cut to match the watch face.
I make this procedure to all my watch Casio collection, and this added protection is time and money very well spent.

I was trying to work the countdown timer and it didn’t go well so honestly I prefer the 1200 because it’s more main stream. I’m even getting the 1200 for my friends. We’ll see if I can start them into the Watch world.

Still the most loved among my digitals. The display looks so clean, much tidier than the AE 1200.
It's not great looking but works well as a hydration and snack timer when cycling

These are hard to find in the US. Do you know of any authorized reputable AD's that might have it and be able to ship to the US? Specifically the yellow color.
I picked up the grey color from AMZ in the US for about $15. They are running a $4.43 coupon off the current $19.92 price, a real bargain but not sure how long it will last. Not the yellow but great price.

Nice video. I honestly still prefer the ae1200 because of the dual time zone display (shame it can't display am and pm in the analog digital clock), the map (which I find really useful) and the 5 alarms that really come in handy. I don't feel like a geek wearing it on a nato strap.
Still the ae1300 is a really good watch, so it's understandable prefering it.
The ae1600 will be far better

I got my world timer yesterday... now it looks like I have to buy another one...
In my eyes, the AE1200 remains king when it comes to general practicality. But the AE1300 is perfect for exercise routines, cooking and various household chores.
Both watches are excellent in fulfilling their respective roles and are unbelievably affordable. If you like one of them, then there's no real reason not to own both.
Do they both have the same countdown function?
Bro, can you make a review on MWD-110H? I've been eyeing that one out since it came out.
I have one. It has only one alarm, only one timer, but with auto restart, and the stopwatch features a target time function and auto start. Personally I think it looks amazing, and I wear it every day. It certainly looks much more elegant than the Casio Royale. The resin parts look better too. The strap has a designed dent that makes it rather uncomfortable though. It presses against the skin. Overall however, I'm glad I bought it.
I've just realised I spammed too much 'howevers' and 'thoughs' which made me sound comical. Regardless, I do recommend the MWD 100H.

It's just to keep the focus on the watch and not the hands. Also it stops any fingerprints getting on the watch whilst filming

My wrists last time I measured is nearly 9 inches long and to be honest I like the AE1200 more 😊
It's not bad by any means, but the "subdials" seem solely aesthetic... The AE-1200 does have the second time zone right there on the display, which adds something actually useful instead of taking up space for the sake of taking up space.
Yes they are completely aesthetic. I agree that the second time zone is more purposeful. But for me, the aesthetic is what makes this watch better.
After all, the top left subdial on the Royale is hard to read at a glance.
I love both watches, I think though that the Ae1300 just edges it for me

I had both watches for a while. I got rid of the 1300 as it largely duplicated the same world time functions and I didn't use the stop watch functions as for what its built for. Again I just never wore it. The local time dial was invaluable for me as I was constanly working with clients across europe and on the west coast (I'm in the EST time zone). I will probably get tghe SKX mod for the 1200 for the steel case and saphire crystal as it's my goto watch for work.
@@TopTierTicker Totally disagree with your comment. I have ABOSOLUTELY no issues reading the top left subdial at a glance... have you considered maybe it's not the watch it's you?

All these straps are hideous. SKXMOD does a fabulous yellow rubber strap especially for this Casio Series for $50, shipped. That on it's own is a massive upgrade. But, you can swap the resin case for a metal one, with sapphire crystal for another 99$. Add yellow painted lettering + Titanium case-back for a further $50. Yes, you've transformed your $30 watch into a $230 watch, but it will be better than any $500 watch you can buy, IMHO.
I don't like it and it never beats the Royale unless you are a refree:
-chrono acts unexpected
-timer starts with 10 mins
-interval time increments in 5 seconds.
Royale and 800 kick a** !
If you are a refree, not most of us are, worth the buck.
If not, I mentioned 2 options.
Btw, I own the 3 of them and I know what I'm talking about.
I was thinking about taking the all metal AE1200 and putting it on the 1300.
Decent idea, not sure whatever it would fit with it being a different module but give it a go!
@@TopTierTicker I thought was part of the AE family I will have to do my research. I know they also came out with another countdown timer called the WS1600H-1AV.
@@TopTierTicker I just saw a video that the guy swapped the case of the silver 1200 with the 1300 module. If you’re looking for a stylish but useful. I’m having a hard time using it and I feel like the 1200 is more friendly to new watch enthusiast.

Sort of trying this watch as an ADHD watch.
It’s not so great.
It’s relatively larger with no real benefits.
Regarding the sundials, its aesthetics is very peculiar and subjective.
