My mother's family was one of the smaller septs and usually don't get mentioned along with the O'Mores and the O'Connors. They were the Dorans. They got transplanted to North Kerry along with the other families and my mother's family lived there on poor land until one generation ago.

Ancestors of my Mother. Duggan. Were Kicked off their Land & Granston Castle. By the British. Because they Wouldn’t Change from Catholic to Protestant. Some Went to Argentina. Some to America. There is a Town in Argentina Called Duggan 🧐. They Ended up with huge Land Area in Argentina. They Died Out Eventually. Last was a Woman. Left a Fortune. Don’t Think it was Ever Claimed. She was Still Alive when I was Young. My Mother Informed us about it. Back Then. She had some Records of them Visiting the Relatives in Beloit Wisconsin. Kinda Regret Not Following Up On This History

O'Dempsey doesn't merit being named with O'Connor and O'Moore - think of Mullaghmast!
