Jaime rips a phone book in half

  • Опубликовано: 1 июн 2009
  • Jaime Sommers gets her kids respect by showing them what she could do to them if they dont cooperate! it works!!
    If you are wondering how this was done, the phone book was baked in a oven untill it was brittle enough for Lindsay Wagner to tear it apart.

      I did watch the 6 Million Dollar Man, as well as, The Bionic Woman. The beginning of every episode of the 6 Million Dollar Man they show a plane crash (which looks like it's a military plane). This was supposed to be the Plane Crash which eventually created The 6 Million Dollar Man. There's a real Pilot in that footage & much to My amazement, this Pilot survived that horrific Crash. He was a Guest Speaker at My School in the 6th Grade. The point is that I was a huge FAN of BOTH Shows. I'm going 2 be 57 yrs old this year. So that comment about how old the students are in the video 2day are over 50 & closer to 60 yrs old. Lindsay Wagner is 70+ yrs old.

      @@thefurrybastard1964 It may have been a test Model but it was a live Pilot testing it. Like I mentioned this real human Pilot was severely injured but mostly broken bones. No head or Major Organ damage. I thought that nobody could’ve survived that crash. It had to be before 08/1974. I moved from New York to Florida that year. The 6 Million Dollar Man (TV Series) was in its first or second Season at this point. But I remember that so many Elementary & Junior High School Kids (& Adults) were huge Fans. I, naturally hated Florida, so I remember this particular School Event quite well. I swear that I truly did NOT believe regular people didn’t actually live in Florida. I just thought that people who worked for The Kennedy Space Center or Disney World had to live there (I was only 13). When I got here I had never been out of New York so when we got to Central Florida and realized that the neighbors to the left were from Huntsville, Alabama & to the right, Lexington, Kentucky. We did NOT speak the same language.
      I swear we didn’t understand each other in the slightest. “Y’ALL” just made no sense. We said, “YOUSE” (How Youse doin’?)..
      When the Mother from Alabama told me to put something “UP”. I genuinely asked,”Up where?” She thought I was being disrespectful and called my Mom and she asked the same thing. So when the REAL PILOT FROM THE OPENING OF THE 6 Million Dollar Man came to our school standing tall and alive, I was impressed. I’m 57 years old now and I still don’t know what a Black Eyed Pea is; or Chicken Fried Steak! I’m not a fan of GRITS Either! But I’m still a Fan of Lee Majors and Lindsay Wagner. She didn’t do much but I loved her in the Bionic Woman.
      Now I’m waiting for the next Matrix movie to come out 2001..lol.
      However, I have to say that Kate Beckinsale from The Underworld Movies fit and moved in in the Leather Suit much better than Trinity from the Matrix.

    Actually, it isn't as far off as you might think: all her *left* arm has to do is brace the book down (as she does, against her legs) and have her *right* arm be the active force ripping the phonebook *upwards*, as it does in the demonstration. That is, if *both* arms were doing the ripping, the ripping-bias wouldn't go upward, bias right, as it does, but would split in half as a mid-point of *both* arms acting. A subtle distinction, but actually demonstrated correctly in the video above. ;)

    Mark Whalberg is bringing The Six Million Dollar Man to the big screen in 2016. If it does well there will be a franchise created which will introduce The Bionic Woman. The film will be gritty. Mark will play Steve Austin a secret service agent working for OSI. They are introducing this new universe to balance the super hero universe. Lets support this film so that we can eventually get a new Bionic Woman film off the ground.

    • @writerforlifeify
      @writerforlifeify 9 лет назад +1

      NO!!!!!! Iconic characters like the Bionic Woman, the Six Million Dollar Man, & Wonder Woman are so ineluctably linked with the actors who played them that there's just NO POINT in allowing ANY other actors to revive them. It won't work. Look how short-lived the remake of the Wonder Woman tv show was; it failed to attract an audience & was fast cancelled.
      Charlie's Angels was adapted to the big screen; how well did it do? Audiences will draw non-stop comparisons with the original actors who made these popular characters THEIR OWN...FOREVER. They are untouchable--like Lucille Ball, like John Ritter as Jack Tripper, like Sherman Hemsley as George Jefferson, like Carroll O'Connor as Archie Bunker....can you just imagine anyone else playing these characters, ever? NO!!!!!! It's as beyond-stupid as re-making The Godfather with an entirely different cast. Leave our classic tv heros/heroines alone!!!

    • @markokrunic3887
      @markokrunic3887 9 лет назад

      writerforlifeify I agree! Who can possibly imagine anybody but Lindsay playing the role? She made the role her own for all time and She inhabits it so thoroughly that we will always associate her with it that anybody else regardless of how skilled or beautiful or talented they are will always make us uncomfortably aware that we aren't watching the real thing but only a poor version of it!

    • @writerforlifeify
      @writerforlifeify 9 лет назад +1

      Yes, and the same can be said about Lynda Carter; that is the reason an attempt to revive 'Wonder Woman' as a tv series with a different actress was cancelled so soon after it aired. Tv audiences didn't accept (whatever her name was) as Wonder Woman & the lousy ratings reflected that.
      Remember 'Three's Company'? And 'The Jeffersons'? John Ritter was born to play Jack Tripper. And no one could embody George Jefferson like Sherman Hemsley.

    • @Fox531CD
      @Fox531CD 8 лет назад +1

      +writerforlifeify If you're talking about the TV pilot from 2011, I didn't think that made it to air. But despite that, it wasn't simply love of Lynda Carter that made that particular pilot sank. I saw a review of it and...well, I think it's failure was more to do with them literally taking the magic from Wonder Woman, apparently ripping of Grant Morrison's Batman International, making Diana a complete violent PSYCHOPATH, and the writer seeming to have some awful pro-vigilante agenda that he drops on the audience's heads like an anvil. They just missed everything about the character in general, and a lot of other things too.

      Basically it's about applying leverage... focusing from her right arm, she gripped the left hand side a little tighter each time the right hand pulled back. Once she got past the phone book's spine, the right hand did the rest. Plus Jaime always worked out for Dr.Rudy Wells. Like Steve Austin maybe she physically adapted, maybe a slight natural strength increase.
