- We are honoured to be part of a collaboration between @BachArchivLeipzig and the Association of Space Explorers (ASA) that combines breathtaking imagery taken from the International Space Station with the transcendent music of JS Bach.
The project is called @bachinspace and aims to bring a broader awareness of the beauty of our planet, as seen from space, through extraordinary musical performances.
For December 2023, Solomon's Knot is the featured artist and we provide the performances of Bach's Magnificat in E-flat BWV 243a to enrich two beautiful space flights EARTH RISE and JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM, released on Christmas Day 2023.
It's already a privilege to perform the music of JS Bach; to be invited by the world’s pre-eminent centre of Bach scholarship and the professional association of flown astronauts to be part of this collaboration is truly an honour.

What a beautiful planet with such a beautiful celestial music performance❣️
Bach bilo gdje,uvijek..Izvrsno!
Toll gemacht!
I have this CD and I often listen to it.😊
Thank you! This is actually a live version from Bachfest Leipzig 2016. If you listen carefully you will spot the differences 😊
@@solomonsknot Oh, that's true! I like them both! I'm also happy with the credits of the performers!😊
to those who focussed on whether or not the images are fake... what can one say? you missed the whole point and beauty of this... all that remains is to pray for your souls.
Fake
The moon is simulated by NASA, yes. But the rest of the footage is real.
