I recently had some work done on my home... who knew you had to tell the flooring people that you expected them to put flooring all the way to the walls... they decided to not finish where they thought the built-ins would be installed in the closet... Only the built-ins are floating as it's a wet wall and I didn't want them to get wet in a flood.
Who knew you had to tell them you wanted all the baseboards caulked... not just the room where the discussion takes place.
Who knew you had to tell them that you expected that one coat of paint covers the the whole wall... not just the top of the texture, but the valleys as well! I could go on and on!
No wonder you have your special crews and stick to them... This contractor was recommended by the insurance company, so I expected good work. Boy was I disappointed. 💖🌵🌞😷

This is quite a place! So much room and with your expertise it will definitely be a show stopper. I am, however, a bit amazed that people are still rehabbing, fixing up, etc., etc., while many New Yorkers are scrambling out of the city. Hope all is well with you!
The City is actually safer then most places because we are so manic about wearing masks I and taking precautions.. evident in the stats... but the the City was already a soft market in renovations declining since 2016 which was a peak in real estate market. Actually seeing activity for purchases above $3MIL but not impacting me for new projects.. People definitely buying at low end too..from brokers I know. I think the City appeals to a specific lifestyle.. and most that can afford to renovate and buy here probably have a home away or retreat outside of the city.. Wish I could!!! hahaha!! I cannot!

I’m kindda laughing & shaking my head about the “PRIMARY” vs “MASTER”BEDROOM argument. People have gone overly sensitive nowadays & how every single damn thing has got to be politically correct. 🤪✌️

I had no idea the term “master bedroom” was suddenly politically incorrect. Since that was long after slavery ended, the term was a reflection of the word being used to reflect the status of the owner of the house, who was male and the home’s “master.” Here’s an article that says it was first used by Sears, in a catalogue for a 1926 kit house. www.trelora.com/blog/master-bedroom-origin/

Another fantastic rebuild by Paula! The shower in the "Primary" bathroom is my ultimate must have. I was wondering if the faucet could have been placed closer to the entrance, avoiding getting drenched with cold water?
I've seen real estate listings also use the term "Owner's suite" in lieu of using master bedroom/bath.
Hi.. there was a structural column on that wall so we could not..but it's a thermostatic shower body so it's not cold.. set temp.
You educated us on master vs primary... then you called it a master closet 10:20?. Lol! I don't think I'll be able to adjust to the new lingo since my house has two master suites... how do you have two primary bedrooms? When the definition of primary is singular? ❤🌅🌵😷

Sorry, you didn't get my humor, but if you are going to nit pick... How do you have two "main" or two "first in order" suites? Both suites have a huge sleeping space, huge walkin closets and very nice full bathrooms. According to your definition which one is the main suite? I don't think anyone will change from calling it the master bedroom. It is, after all for the master of the house. Before it's changed due to the racial inference, it should have been changed for the gender inference, surely? It's nuts.
