Hi Dan, just in case you are outdoors in Taipei this afternoon, be aware there will be a drill from 13:30 to 14:00. Traffic will be on stand still, and police might ask everyone to find indoor shelter. An indoor of any shop will do.

This drill is annually and has been in practice for many decades. First time experiencing it can be interesting and spooky at the same time as streets are emptied and become quiet.
