Have you seen Maggie of ThinkerThemer's variant of the solo play for the game? She has turned this almost into a campaign game. Thanks for the play through, Rhiannon!
I finally received my copy after six months of waiting. So glad to see a solo play. I had never played the video version until recently, so the board game makes more sense now. Thank you!
Yes I had to wait quite a while to get a copy too. Glad you managed to get one! There's quite a lot of references that I can imagine don't make much sense without the context of the video game.
Thanks for this playthrough! It was a lot of fun to watch, if not a little...exasperating...for you? Looks like it's almost out of stock at regular prices here in the US, but still available in some places.
Haha! Maybe a tad exasperating but still had a lot of fun! Ahh that is a shame, I couldn't find it for a long time. It seems popular though so hopefully a reprint will be in the works soon...😁
Yes!! Has been out for a couple of years now but it's not the easiest to get hold of, had to wait a while between printings for my copy! Thank you for the watch!
I picked this up recently, in certain ways it's not quite as amazing as I expected, but there are some quite fun aspects to it. I think ultimately, considering how much luck affects your success and how protracted the time limit is, the game gets in its own way too much.
I think you can make friends in this game by giving them shiny stones, called 'Rocks' ...set into rings. ;) This game looks really good, especially for a Video game to boardgame conversion.
Think they prefer the a mermaid pendant and some horseradish...yuck haha! Yea I was really surprised with how much I enjoyed it actually, I was expecting it to feel quite flat. But loved it as much as the video game!
Great playthrough but one thing I noticed is that your did 2 actions after every festival card while I think I remember the rules saying you don't get to do actions after festival cards.
Hey thank you for the watch! I can't find that rule in the rulebook, do you know where abouts you saw that rule? Are you thinking of the season end cards perhaps? ☺️
Hi, my copy arrived yesterday and I have a confusion regarding the mine descent. I play solo so I only need to use 1 stone to go down the next level in the mine. My question is, can I use multiple stones to descend multiple levels at a single time? For example, I will discard 2 stones to move down from level 3 to level 5.
Yes! In the rules section where it talks about end of turn effects it says you can only choose one end of turn effect, but you can do that effect as many times as you want to/are able to! So descend as many times as you can! I hope you love the game so far! :)
Shouldn't you also be foraging when leaving the barn towards another action space, and not just when moving the 2nd time? I've been playing it like that 😅
If by barn you mean your Farmhouse, then no. It is not an actionable location, thus, doesn't have a path from it to any locations (via page 11, to gain a Forgeable, you have to move along a path to take a Forgeable or Tree Tile).
@@bluedogboardgames If you mistakenly assume a path from the Farmhouse to the action locations, you could pick up a lot of extra Forage tiles...both when starting your action turn, and then again when going BACK to your Farmhouse after taking your two actions. It would be too easy to get Forageables to gift to villagers for friend acquisition (Hearts) or pick up wood for building.
This is my first time watching your channel, and had fun watching your play-through. Good work.
Thank you so much for watching! I'm glad you had fun :)
Thank you for showcasing this game. I've been on the fence about picking this up.
This one really is an awful lot of fun!
Great playthrough! :)
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the watch! :)

I have not! But I absolutely will look at this, that sounds fantastic! Thank you for the watch and recommendation!
@@bluedogboardgames No problem! I hope you have a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year!
You too! Hope you have lots of time for gaming! ☺️
They are definitely worms, roots don't dance like that.
That's what I thought too! I've seen so many people say they're roots though.... haha!

I had no idea they made a table top version of this! So cool, great playthrough!

It does look to be an inviting, light-hearted game.
It really is! It's a very happy game! 😁

Thanks for that! I didn't think so either 😁

Very useful. Thank you.
