Taio was confused, "H-Huh?" "Let's get out of here, quickly!" Charlie said as he ran for the airship with Taio on his back They quickly ran up the hills, as the wind blew behind them. They were in pursuit by a small team of Heavenly soldiers, their rifle shots grazing behind them. Taio held onto Charlie for his life, "I can see The Firebird up ahead, how long can you last!?" Charlie laughed, "I can do this all day!" The ammunition crates were run through the mud, Charlie's shoulders felt strained. But even then, he kept going. As the two reached The Firebird, Charlie kneeled down to let Taio get off his back, "Come on, let's get out of here!" Charlie loaded the crates into the airship, as Taio prepared the craft for take off. The engines started, as Taio called for Charlie, "When you're done, I need you to get over here to activate the shielding!" Charlie nodded, as he quickly took the muddy crates in and closed the hatch. Charlie ran up to Taio, as they both put their hands onto the airship's shielding recepticle to extract energy from their bodies. "That should do it, let's get out of here!" Taio quickly fidgeted, allowing The Firebird to lift itself off the ground. The Heavenly soldiers on the ground attempted to fire at The Firebird, but they gave up as the shielding rendered their bullets inert. Taio sighed, "That was close..." He looked over to Charlie, who was tired. "I'm glad we got out..." The Firebird soared in the sky, aiming to leave the long contested Wellspring. A beautiful burden in the skies.
