Dr. Mike DeFee is a founding partner of The MOD Institute and oversees all clinical operations at MOD. Dr. DeFee also serves as managing director of MOD Research, directly overseeing new research initiatives. He has extensive experience in dental 3D printing, milling, and is a Level 3 Certified Exocad and Exoplan trainer. Dr. DeFee previously founded My Friend's Dentist, a private practice in North Carolina which became the 1st Certified B-Corporation practice on the east coast. He stewarded the organization through a digital transformation leading to triple digit growth during his leadership. An alumnus of The Dawson Academy, Dr. DeFee has published over 10 articles in peer reviewed journals including The Journal of Virology and Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry.
Dr. DeFee's current clinical focus is in complex rehabilitative and implant treatment. Dr. DeFee is also passionate about leveraging technology to increase efficiency and predictability in delivering patient care.
