This is for everyone else who was 18 in in 1994 (of thereabouts), looking at theirgrey hairs in the mirror and having to squint a little harder to read our phones than we did a few weeks ago, thinking about the kids we were when we first heard this song, when we believed that we were wise, now we’re wondering where the time went and realizing that this song speaks to us now in a whole different way.
This song I only heard a few months ago! Now it is one of my favorites and to be completely honest can't stop listening to it on a daily basis! It takes me back to my highschool days in the mid 1970's.
I was 16 years old when this came out. Now I'm 44 years old with two Ex-Wives and five daughters and just as many tours of duty in afghanistan. I'm 6 days away from my 4-year Mark of beating a heinous fucking needle addiction. I've got a few scars from bullet holes. I haven't heard this since I was like 18 or 19 years old man that was so fucking long ago. I would give anything at all to go back to 16 knowing everything I know now and to do it one more time to get it right. If only so many of us just listen to this and maybe consider it to be a warning. But a lot of us didn't. A lot of us aren't here now. Some of us are but shouldn't be. I happen to be one of them. This is hauntingly beautiful. The tears just free fall dumping out of me like a waterfall.
One of my all time fav songs. Great performance. ESP after all these years. The leads guitar sounds terrible. The modulation w the lofi octaves …. The original tone was so much better. Sorry. I wish I didn’t feel this way.
He still sounds amazing ugh song still gives me chills 30 years later
Was screaming this song the other day in front of my kids.
Kids gotta know how we ballad back in our day.
Why would you sing this to a kid? It's about abortion, suicide, etc
One of my favorite songs growing up. Can you all imagine it has been nearly 30 years?
Saw the video for this a million times on VH-1.......
What an epic song, for anyone who was a teenager in the 90s… god this takes me back…
Must have been a great experience to dine with good friends, sip some good wine and listen to The Verve Pipe as they played the freshman live
What a Fuggin gem of a classic

I love this song, and they can still play tf out of it.
Just one of the best songs from the 90's and one of my all time favourites. Just brilliant!! Love it!!
What a perfect performance! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Soulful Song back in the 90s
An anthem for the late 90s and forever. I love them for this song. Brian Vander Ark is my hero.
I sing this song everyday at work, after my lunch break. I first sing it, then listen to it after.
Its crazy that we sit at a winery now to watch these guys 😂. I would not have thought that was cool at 14 .
Still till this day, we never talk of our lacking relationships or the reasons why we think we're wise and would never compromise.

What a beautiful performance. Can’t wait to see them next month in my hometown.

Respect. Glad you made it. Here’s to 4 more years, and then 4 more, and then 4 more. One day at a time. ❤️

all time favorites... thank you guys!
Found these guys on the Jenny McCarthy show back in the day. Good times gone and forgotten youth.
This looks like a lot of the original band, same lead guitarist and his brother on bass. Happy to see this
No doubt. Not many of the same lineups out there anymore. Cheers
Definitely NOT the same lead guitarist from the 90s
For real?@@williamfreemon3878

Fresh like Freshmen.
It turns out, Google gets really concerned if you look up how much Vallium is a lethal dose while researching this song. I also couldn’t find out.
Have always loved it. But I'm shallow and I still don't fully understand it. Shall google it right now.
Please omer Adam the lest show in nyc

Remember when music held some wisdom, instead of being the paradigm of vapidity.
One of my all time fav songs.
