Sting is one of the most likeable wrestlers of all time. The man is so loyal to whatever company he is with, a great worker, durable, teacher for the younger guys etc. I consider him as one of the greatest to ever do it.

Sting no selling the guitar shot is one of my favorite moments in wrestling. The fans had been trained by that point to expect the same old ending of Jarrett sneaking in a guitar shot and winning, so the air just goes out of the building when it happens...and then Sting just shrugs it off and they go crazy. It's so great.

The storytelling in this match is immense. Other than the kind of convoluted role of Angle in the match, everything was as close to perfect as a career vs title match can get. The slow start from the face, the heel establishing the real threat of his victory, the entire buildup towards that massive pop when Sting gets hit by the guitar and gets rejuvenated instead, old school wrestling in the modern era at its best

Jarrett was a very good in-ring worker, but not a deserving main-eventer, the only times he ever main evented anywhere was if one of these three scenarios were the case:
1: Vince Russo was the head booker
2: He was the owner of the company
3: His Dad was running the promotion.

while you make some damn valid points, i still think iMPACT is the best and most complete wrestling product,
they're in a not so good situation what with the small arenas, but it will all get better as time goes on, they're improving.
RAW just bores me to tears, the "wrestling" they have is just soo pathetic over done and fucking boring, it's so slow and undecisive.
TNA has new talent but they're not using them as prominently as they used to and thats a huge flaw, tigre uno, sanada, manik all great talents, and thats a huge flaw with TNA, there i named what i don't like about todays TNA so as to not sound like a biased TNA fanboy.
I feel the best WRESTLING shows are put on by ROH bar none,
but the most COMPLETE wrestling show is iMPACT thats my opinion, ain't a damn thing gonna change that so lets just agree to disagree

Just to put a comment here: Jeff Jarrett is probably the best worker during this period of TNA. He is athletic, unexpectedly strong and has great psychology for the match. Maybe his lengthy reign as NWA Champion is heavily criticized, but seeing WWE and AEW right now, I would absolutely put the world title on Jarrett. Give him the credit he deserves as a great wrestler.

But in 2006 it felt like WCW had been gone so much longer. Now watching this match from 2006 in 2018 and it only feels like I was watching it live just maybe 5 years ago. I don’t get it...
