It's good that techniques on Hapkido exist on video. But I'm glad that I learned Hapkido the old fashion way, by attending class instructions.

Off course! you have to have a master/instructor in order to learn, and resistant mates in order to apply the techniques realistically!!! videos are great to remember different techniques, much more useful to instructors than to students ;)

It is a toeboek (Korean) and the word, correctly, is dogi for an Okinawan/Japanese martial arts clothing (ki means, simply, clothing).

@@TheGuerillapatriot bro there's plenty of videos of hapkido vs bjj how they turn out. I wrestled since I was 8 years old bjj since I was 16 I'm now in my late 30s. I fought mma and I work for ups since I was 20 mostly moving bulk in other words I'm strong as fukk and I understand balance and distance. He would be out of his element with me. Not to mention I'm 230 lbs. There's a difference between cleaning up a bar in a good in the valley and fighting a trained life long martial artist that's way more advanced at what you're good at.
Hapkido by itself is trash .... Try submitting a bjj purple belt or above most would laugh at wrist locks.

I will definitely be watching your videos all over again here man because I used to take Hapkido in my younger years and I just actually can't really find anything else to take it here in Edmonton Alberta Canada because there isn't really much options available for it bud because I just actually really badly need to watch all of your videos and then practice everything that you always teach Hapkido to people because most of the videos that I find on RUclips Channel don't really explain everything to do it just like how you do bud because this is exactly why I even decided to subscribe to your Channel right now about it here bud because my roommate Ethan and myself are actually very much definitely planning on practicing this stuff and then also testing each other randomly so we can definitely make sure that we got what exactly you have just taught us because I have also wrote down every one of your videos on this stuff Sir so it would be really helpful if you could absolutely make some brand new videos on Hapkido as well here Sir so that I can definitely learn brand new technical skills and tricks in this wonderful Martial Arts of Self Defense Techniques from the wonderful place of the Morning Calm aka South Korea

You are correct somewhat. A good hapkidoin (NOT a hapkidoist) will take these principles, which are a part of a defence methodology, and learn to where to apply them.

@@KaptainCanuck "hapkidoin" - did you make that up? Hapkido is a Romanization spelling of Hahb(합)-gi(기)-do(도) as pronounced in Korean. "gi" as pronounced in the word "keep", but with the "g" sound and no "p" sound. In other words, a more closer pronunciation is hahb-gi-do. My old Hapkido school in the 1960's spelled it as "Habkido" and "Hapkido". Years later, "H-a-p-k-i-d-o" spelling won.
