History channel always giving us a historical perspectives. Love it!
"In a nutshell" the History Channel has said in four and a half minutes what it takes a UK MP, hours to "waffle" on about.
You would be amazed how uninformed the average brit is about the UK's history/association with Europe! Many thought the referendum was about weather they should "join" or not!
43 years gone unnoticed! 😕
Completely agree Glenn
Many thought that our vote to leave the EU meant that we were no longer part of Europe (the young), education doesn't mean intelligence.
Thatcher had buyer's remorse
5 years later... I heard the economy has become stagnate.
Lessons learned for all other countries; never have a referendum in the era of social media/nonsense, misinformation spewing, opinion manipulation era.
🎯
You mean don't ask people what they really think about stuff??
The British public voted to leave an institution they never truly believed in, what is difficult to understand?
@@frase03 Given the result, we have to doubt the British public ever truly *understood* it
@@_jpg get over it , how many of those who voted to remain truly understood what they were voting for ?
I would have voted not to become a member of the EU in 1992 had there have been a referendum as there should have been , I voted to leave in 2016 and my opinion of the EU and it's effects on the UK have not changed one bit.
I guess I just don't like neoliberalism.
@@frase03 Neoliberalism? Which kind, the German one or the Anglo-saxon one?
Curious question, what did the EU forbid you from having? What harm did it to you? How did it impact your personal life?
What will Britain do, now that the EU is no longer a convenient scapegoat for their domestic problems? 🤔 And what exactly is a 'free' and 'open' market?
😂 exactly. They’ll find another boogeyman before they reflect.
I still cant believe myself
History channel ain’t nothing without ancient aliens don’t @me😭
The difference between a zero sum (eu)world vs a positive sum(eu) world.
Who else saw this in their notification .
Leave

Nicely put!. 👏👏👏🍻
Leave means leave
Why did you want Brexit? Are you one of the leavers tricked into voting for Brexit because rich people don't want to pay their tax ,or are you just resist ?
Numba14

It won't be the only nation to leave the EU, only the first.

Stand up Britts, you guys rock!
In case you haven't noticed, Brexit hasn't happened yet. And if our Autocratic, anti-democratic parliament has anything to do with it, it never will happen.
@Craig good to see armed uprisings against the government happening regularly in the US.
Oh, hang on......
@@spudgunn8695 it hasn't come to that point yet and we did in 1776 ;)
@Craig oh, and on another point, I happen to own half a dozen firearms, all legally held. Just got to jump through hoops to get the bloody things!
@AlexWithLetters odd comment to make to a bloke just pointing out that democracy is more or less dead in the UK.
you must be happy, now!
☕☕
Glad we left. No regrets.
