Hello, Minnie, I always value your opinions, and I agree with you on all you points. I have been watching your videos for a long time, you are so down to earth and true to your viewers, I really appreciate that. Have a wonderful day!
Thanks for sharing! Great content as always! I have a question. Have you ever considered doing some kind of bag challenge? Wear a bag from a brand you aren’t a fan of for a week? How about revisiting Coach and other contemporary brands like Tory Burch, Rebecca Minkoff, etc and maybe sharing some of your favorites that you could see yourself wearing?
Antonia Gonzaes Yass!! Fabulous idea Love💡Although I am a fan of the 3 you mentioned, especially Coach ♥️ and some of these beauties are on my radar 😍😍
Spot on! I think most bag charms are tacky as well as many designer sunglasses... I do have a loyalty to Ray Ban ... I care for them and when they aren’t fitting like they did when I first bought then I can take them for a tune up.. unfortunately many SLG I feel com with too hefty of a price tag for what they are and how I use them. I have a Coach cosmetic pouch same shape as the Louis Vuitton that I purchased at the outlet for $30 and have had for a long time and still looks brand new.
Ha! Same here. I have a nice wallet but all my other "SLGs" are just cheapie make up bags, in different sizes, from CVS or Amazon. I've just never cared about designer SLGs. My sunglasses cost anywhere from $15 to around $100. I'm notorious for leaving them here, there, & everywhere....so I just don't invest much in them.
There is so much inferior product on the market today, all throw-away items eventually. I used to buy a lot, but I'm much more particular about anything I purchase anymore. I'm cleaning out so that when I find something that I like and I feel it is worth the money, I'll buy it, use it, and enjoy it. Im just so tired of wasting money...
I totally agree with the bag charms. After buying a couple and LV not able to repair one strip of black leather, it really turned me off. However I am a sucker for designer glasses even though I know they're not worth much when I decide to sell it. Great video as usual!
Thank you so much for your advice especially on the Chanel fashion jewelry because that have been the reason why I haven’t bought even yet. If I do I think I will go with the metal ones vice the ones with stones.
Totally agree with every item you described. I like you was a designer sunglass nut! Now that I'm older with children I see how frivolous and costly that was😔 other items I refuse to buy are key chains, bracelets, and luxury sneakers.
Love how you love our Quay Australia sunnies ! I'm from Australia and always watch you and I was stoaked to hear you mention something from here! Have a great day!
I just found you today and I really like your personality. I will enjoy spending a few hours watching your videos. I'm glad that I stumbled upon your channel!!
I have now seen > 10 of her videos and I'm in love!!! ( and I went to work today, needless to say that all I've done in my spare time is watch her channel :))@@missygaines2044
Hi Minnie may I suggest you look into getting the classic leopard Louis Vuitton bandeau. Tie it loosely around your neck area, double knot..by this I mean more down towards your chest, not tightly around your neck. So chic and stylish and the color will be very flattering being a brunette. I absolutely love mine. Cost per wear is negative now 😂💕
I feel you regarding the luxury costume jewelry. I love the Chanel brooches but I couldn't bring myself to buy them knowing that I know the materials used were not exactly real stones. Not exactly Value for money. So I ask my local jeweler to copy the design in real white gold and semi precious stones to match. At least. I got the design I want in the high value setting that is more price worthy. I feel that I'm ripping off their design though. Huhuhy
I am with you 100%. I also am careful not to buy the incredibly high price “caviar “ eye serums “ I like lots of the skin care makeup but I draw the line at a certain price point
I kind of got sucked into buying twillies when I got my Birkin. After I finally figured out how to put them on the handles I thought, "Ugh, this makes my handbag look like a pet." So, I would no more use those twillies....or any other bag charms, than I would carry around a poodle dyed pink and wearing a rhinestone collar!
diego goldstein i think you mean you can’t get fine jewellery at the same price? The same design with diamonds instead of crystals and precious metals will probably go into the thousand range for fine jewellery.
@@Skyebright1 I think we need to compare the apple to apple. $700 is the higher range of Chanel costume jewellery for earrings, which is the entry level for fine jewellery. E.g. I have a Tiffany diamond by the yard necklace which cost about $1200 which I adore. But it's not something I can use as statement piece to spice up an outfit, the pendant is super tiny which is great for normal daily wear. A statement piece with real diamonds or gemstones is going to be horrendously expensive and it will be too stressful to wear it out anyway LOL
Love this video! I am not going to buy any more Louis Vuitton SLGs with the colored press button closures. I have the 6 ring key holder and the Emily wallet and the buttons on both look horrible. Louis Vuitton will replace them if I pay, even though I think it's a common defect. From now on, gold buttons only for me.
I do buy designer sunglasses, but they are rare purchases because I'm hard to fit. I keep them almost 10 years. I haven't paid pay full retail in over 10 years, I've had access through work and regardless of discount I won't get a pair with a retail price over $400. I won't buy designer t-shirts anymore either. And La Perla bras, yes the craftmanship is beautiful but they never fit me right. And I don't buy luxury goods just for the sake of it anymore, esp. if it doesn't suit my lifestyle (never again Chanel jacket). I make sure, I would buy the item regardless of the brand.
I stick with Ray Ban sunnies! I stay under that $230.00 mark so don’t really consider them “designer”. I love the luggage tag look as well. I also agree with you on the costume jewelry. There is good quality costume jewelry out there. Honestly I love Brighton & they pass the test of time! They last & I get so many compliments when I wear my Brighton.
LL Nut Agree! Some of my favorite costume jewelry is from Swarovski and they have always stood the test of time 🙌🏻 Ray Bans are some of the best sunnies out there 😍😍😍
There are 4 items are related to my collection. I have so many design sunglasses but I rarely use them, I need to sell them too. As well as limited edition SLG. Awesome video ❤️
I absolutely agree with you on the jewelry! I much rather have 14k or 18k because it's so much more lux and last much longer. I NEVER take off my jewelry but only to clean but when it comes to rings I like 10k better because the gold is much harder to bend etc. Earrings I always go for the 18k. Love your videos and wishing you a wonderful day my friend! 🥂
I too cannot pull off a scarf as a fashionable addition to my outfit. I just look like I am trying to hide my neck wrinkles lol! Great video! Agree that your hair looks great!
I recently sold my 6 ring holder from LV because after having it for two years I noticed that the actual Damier ebene was wearing off on one corner and I was told that it normal wear and tear. I am very careful with my things so I did not expect this much wear so soon. It also had glazing issues twice and the hardware started discoloring within a couple months. Also the leather button was starting to wear. 😕I will be trying a Gucci 6 ring key holder and see how that holds up.
Interesting topic. I have picked up a few limited edition, Xmas animation pieces from LV. I use them all the time like my other pieces. So far so good with wear and tear. Fingers crossed!
I’m a sucker for designer sunglasses 😫 I can’t believe you let go of all yours it would be hard for me lol the prices are bit cringing for what they actually are! Luckily I use to work at Sunglasses Hut years ago so I can still get them half price🙈 & with designer costume jewelry I just don’t see it’s worth it at all you can pay the same price at a jewelry store & get some 18k-24k pieces!
I have a pair of 25:00 sunglasses that I bought. 20 years ago. Still going strong and I don’t worry about them!!! Have a couple of designer but don’t use them that much. I totally agree with you. Also the designer jewelry. NO. If you are spending that much go to the jewelry store and get something classic.
I stopped buying designer sunglasses when I found out they're all made by the same company, luxottica. Only difference is when they slap a name on it its like 500+
I have to agree about the purse charms. I have 2 from LV and one is discoloring. So I won't be spending money on those again. As for bandeaus & scarfs, I love and wear all kinds! But I haven't brought myself to buy any from luxury designers yet. As for sunglasses, I wear prescriptions and their already insanely expensive, so it's a no for me. Great subject Minnie and I have enjoyed everyone's opinions.
I stopped buying name brand sunglasses in 2016 and don’t miss them. My collection is mostly Dita now. They are more expensive, no one is familiar with the brand, but they get so many compliments. They run about $750-$500 USD. My other collection includes IC Berlin, Barton Perreira and Porsche Design. Also in the $500 price range. I’m never tempted by the “popular” brand name that are mass produced by the same company. All these brands I mentioned are high quality.
I’ve had my Chanel stones fall off of my earrings so many times! I’ve taken it to the Chanel boutique and they fix it, and then the same stone fell off. So I kinda gave up.
I have had terrible luck with the Chanel costume jewelry with stones. My purchases have mainly been at Neiman Marcus, and they are very accommodating. Problem is, they send the repairs to Paris, and it takes forever to get your jewelry back.
Chanel's costume jewelry omg I am so with you on this. The quality is so low...and I had the same issue even with rings too. They do have free replairment within a year purchase but after that, you need to pay a fee to repair. A few years ago I purchased a limited edition pair of Chanel earring with PVC material on it and the back pin just broke off and I went to the store they said because it contains PVC in it they can't be heated and so they can't repair it. Love their product but I still expect higher quality with such a high price tag.
Christin Xu yeah I had a pair of Chanel earrings where the post came off one and they said it couldn’t be repaired, I think they’re not a safe option for the cost
I still want to get a pair of Tom Ford sunnies. I have a Chloe and a Prada pair now. But I do actually use my Ray Bans more than anything. I might sell the Pradas since I wear them the least.
I forgot to mention that the item I will never be buying again is a cles. I had an LV one for 3 years and didn't use it once. Every time I went to use it I had another slg that would do the job better. I think a lot of people must feel the same because when I was trying to sell it it proved to be a real dud. I ended up having to lower the price so far that I lost a lot of money on it. So it was a very negative experience all round.
I am with you on all of them! Sunglasses would still be on my list but I am now wearing prescription ones so the non prescriptions don't get much wear. Great video and happy Saturday! Xoxo
As bags got smaller, I stupidly thought I should have small SLGs. I have just learned that one thin, long but good capacity wallet is much better!!! One Grab!
I still have and use my 3$ mirrored wayfarer knockoffs from 198. As for Chanel... no, none of my money to them for anything, let alone costume jewelry. I like my two ancient hermes bag charms and the bizarre strings I attach to mine. Use your Bandeau as a hair tie.
Good morning Minnie 😊 I have a question for you about a SLG. I noticed that my Louis Vuitton cosmetic pouch has a loose thread by the leather tab. Once I saw that I stopped using it. The pouch is only 18 months old. What are my options for fixing it???? Will it cost me ?? Or will the boutique fix that for me??? Lmk if you have any advice. Thank you 😊
I agree, the purse charms are a no-go! I’ll gladly take the mini pochette off your hands. I definitely am not feeling the bandeaus!! I quickly bought the one from the trunks collection...still haven’t used it!!
Minnie I love ur vids. Love ur personality. I’m w u when it comes to not being stylish. I laughed out loud when you said u tied around ur neck and it looked ridiculous lol.
I am such a sucker for Chanel's custom jewelry. Got a few earrings and my first brooch while in Paris this month. I don't use them daily so I hope a stone does not fall off. I hear you on the limited editions. Beautiful but the silk screening makes them chip faster and it is disheartening to say the least, specially at the higher price point. Great video!
I love tying a bow with a LV bando scarf on my bags. You can also try to wrap your bun with it or braid it into your hair. I could see you wearing it as a headband. I also love limited edition if you really love the collection only. I will never buy another brand new LV bag online. That way I can fully inspect it first.
I understand. I only like paying for the real leather items, not the canvas. I own the multicolor agenda pm just for the design. Everything else in in the vernis. They're more indestructible.
I feel the same about sunglasses. I only have one pair of designer sunglasses left. A Tom Ford pair. My favorite brand now is Diff eyewear. I have bought about 4 pairs in the last month getting ready for spring and summer. Haven’t been able to use them because in Houston we have only have 12 sunny days since the beginning of the year. I know. Can’t wait to bust them out.
I think one of the reasons for costume jewellery is because the same equivalent in fine jewellery will cost a lot more! 😅 Sure maybe I can get real diamond studs at the same cost as Chanel’s earrings, but those will be like tiny 0.01 carat studs that look like a speck of dirt on your ear lobes.😅😅
watchSIW eh I guess but you could buy Tiffany jewellery at a similar price to Chanel and it’s real silver rather than gold coated bronze, or antique diamond earrings
This was really good. I had to laugh at your story about the sunglasses because that is what I am like with watches. I do terrible things to them like getting them wet or banging them into walls. I am definitely too clumsy to be trusted with an expensive one. I know what you mean about twillys and bandeaus. I think they look fantastic on bags but I don't find them practical. I will wear a plain outfit and tie one on my bag then the next time I use the bag I will inevitably be wearing a patterned piece of clothing which clashes with the scarf and it has to be taken off the bag again. It's very annoying. What I do really like them for is to wear a twilly tied around a ponytail or a bandeau tied around the rim of a simple straw hat. They are really great for that and I do that with them a lot in summer.
I love the idea of Chanel costume jewelry. I purchased earrings BUT my ears rejected them. Had to return them. Really unfortunate that the materials aren’t so great...
I love your videos! I was wondering with your love for LV, would you ever get the LV Folio case for your cell phone? Or a Luxury case in general? Thank you :)
Question for Minks Monday!!! Iovenlove love the pochette metis but don’t want vachetta leather since I live in climate that’s very rainy and snowy. Also don’t love monogram reverse or the leather ones. Do you think they will make it in Damier ebene? Love your thoughts on this
Hey Queen, I great video as always. I must apologized for all the years I have been watching you and I just realized I never subscribed. Forgive me! Sending love, hugs and kisses!
You don’t need to baby the LV limited edition. I got tons of them and never baby any one of them, and nothing ever happened. I suppose the limited edition are better made than the normal ones.
Omg I loose all my designer sunglasses 🕶 It never fails. I get so angry and annoyed. So I stopped buying them. So now I just have a budget nothing more then $50. I loose those as well but at list it’s not $400-$500.
I’m totally with you on the bag charms, for me it also has to do with the weight, I have to be carful how heavy my bags get due to a bad back, and the charms do tend to be heavier for me, but with that also I do feel like I love the look of the luggage tag better anyways😊 thank you for the channel I always love watching your videos
I broke my Chanel sunnies years ago and although I still buy designer sunnies ... it’s very rare, I only gave a few and that’s it! Btw, o love your top you are wearing, where did you find it? 😃
I would love to add a Chanel brooch (the fully baguette crystal one) but I am so worried the stones will fall out. I don’t know if I can make the leap and purchase one for 700-800 if a stone falls out.
It's ridiculous crystals fall out of Chanel jewellery! My cat had a collar with diamantes and they all stayed on until she lost it over a year later. I did buy her a collar previously and half the diamantes fell off within a week. It was $5 and the good one was $15.
Love your Video! The only designer sunglasses I own were scratched, fell down and so on - that never happened with my Ray Ban ;-) I do own 4 Bag Charms and although the are beautiful, I don't like the noise they make ;-) The Bandeaus...I wear them for work, but on my neck and never on my bags, love the bags simple. Costume jewellery: I love my Hermes Clic, but my Dior Tribales aren't worth the money, the get loose pretty fast.
One of the things I like about you Minnie is that you can state your opinion without sounding judgemental or arrogant. I truly enjoy your videos.
I always get my sunglasses at Nordstrom Rack or Last Call. Purchased Tom Ford, Chloe, YSL, Prada etc.
Hello, Minnie, I always value your opinions, and I agree with you on all you points. I have been watching your videos for a long time, you are so down to earth and true to your viewers, I really appreciate that. Have a wonderful day!
Good job in making a negative subject video informative without bashing items or brands that other people love. 👍
These companies are smart. They took a fabric remnant called it a twilly/bandeau and are selling it for hundreds of dollars.
So true!
Agree
Thanks for sharing! Great content as always! I have a question. Have you ever considered doing some kind of bag challenge? Wear a bag from a brand you aren’t a fan of for a week? I totally 200% agree with you! I just love how sensible and honest you are. With that said...I don't think I will ever buy another brooch.
Minnie, i LOVE your hair!! you’re glowinggggg😍😍😍 - Jana

You’re hair looks amazing Minnie!! I’m the same with sunglasses & love Quay Australia! Have a great weekend !💕
Ginab 317 Yay!! Quays for the win 🙌🏻♥️ Aww thank you so much Babe 😘😍💕
I 100% agree with everything you said in this video, I had to learn from experience by purchasing the items and learning the cons first hand.
Love how you love our Quay Australia sunnies ! I'm from Australia and always watch you and I was stoaked to hear you mention something from here! Have a great day!
Marcie Jenkins yeah I’m very happy with the Aussie brand becoming so popular, especially given the price for them isn’t bad ;)

Thanks for the information about the Chanel Jewelry!
No matter how they are. They are not gold, silver and gem stones. No value in Costume jewelry.

I love how costume jewelry looks but I’ve never purchased it! I love simple pieces from Tiffany and they last for forever!
I totally agree with you on this video especially the sunglasses. Your point is spot on the sunglasses very relatable👌❤

I love designer sunglasses! For me the last about 3 years. After that, if they are not broken, they are full of scratches
Lydia A I love them too. I feel like they’re an easy way to boost my outfit’s fashion statement. And in FL, I use them all year. I like ‘em too. :)
Loved your list, Minnie! You made really good points and things to consider. Xoxo from NYC!
I agree with every item you described especially the sunglasses, can’t find my Gucci or Prada but I can locate my Quay in a heartbeat 😂😂😂😂😂

Subscribed! Love the way you explain your thoughts...
I agree with you. Thank you so much, you help me save money. 😂😂😂
I totally agree about the sunglasses but ugh I love my two Gucci ones 😂🤷🏻♀️
You can wear the bandeau in your hair like a hairband, or as a belt.
Minnie I love ur vids. Love ur personality. I’m w u when it comes to not being stylish. I laughed out loud when you said u tied around ur neck and it looked ridiculous lol.
Love this video Minnie all you said is on point.
i love my Kate Spade Aviators !
hector merly I think she means luxury designers
I am such a sucker for Chanel's custom jewelry. Got a few earrings and my first brooch while in Paris this month. I don't use them daily so I hope a stone does not fall off. I hear you on the limited editions. Beautiful but the silk screening makes them chip faster and it is disheartening to say the least, specially at the higher price point. Great video!
Nice bag collection! I love watching your videos. Very informative 👜
I love tying a bow with a LV bando scarf on my bags. You can also try to wrap your bun with it or braid it into your hair. I could see you wearing it as a headband. I also love limited edition if you really love the collection only. I will never buy another brand new LV bag online. That way I can fully inspect it first.
I want a pair of luxe sunglasses but I know I’ll break them or lose them
I understand. I only like paying for the real leather items, not the canvas. I own the multicolor agenda pm just for the design. Everything else in in the vernis. They're more indestructible.
What is the red back pack on the top shelf? 😍😍
Hi! That's not a backpack - it's the Polene Numero Un, I believe. It's a really affordable bag as far as luxury goes so you should check them out!!
I’m done with small SLGs n charms cuz I have to many. 😊 thanks for sharing smiley! 😘😘😘Sandy
Amen!! You make always my day ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I feel the same about sunglasses.
Nora Sanchez Texas Proud!
You are so down to earth! Love your videos!
Thanks for sharing Minnie! Have a wonderful weekend!
Janis Blevins Happy Weekend to you too Babe ♥️
Both pair of my Chanel earrings are beautiful, but I've lost stones.
I love the idea of Chanel costume jewelry. I purchased earrings BUT my ears rejected them. Had to return them. Really unfortunate that the materials aren’t so great...
LV 6 ring key holder is one item I will never buy again. The quality of their items have gone down. Mine started to tarnish after 3 months
King T wow that’s sad. Sorry that happened to you. Mine is 15 years old and still looks like new! Im sticking with vintage pieces!!!!
Mine is made in 2017 and the gold is still really shinny.
Can’t agree more with luxury custome jewelry. The biggest waste of money ever. I would rather spend on diamond, or hm
Hi! What do I love? The Cluny BB purse on the shelf behind you! Saving up to buy one! Minnie ur hair looks great!
Estrella Perez Aww thank you so much Love 😍😘♥️
I love your videos! I was wondering with your love for LV, would you ever get the LV Folio case for your cell phone? Or a Luxury case in general? Thank you :)
Great video!
Can you do a sunglasses collection??? I'm always on the hunt for cute ones!
Great video
Omg I loose all my designer sunglasses 🕶
It never fails. I get so angry and annoyed. So I stopped buying them. So now I just have a budget nothing more then $50. I loose those as well but at list it’s not $400-$500.
Bonjour Minnie, like you, I dont buy expensive sunglasses, never did, hopefully never will * lol* …. Have a wonderful week-end !
Rosalind Hambleton Thank you!! Happy Weekend Love ♥️
video on ur hair plzzzzzzzzzz. what is that top red bag??????
I would love to add a Chanel brooch (the fully baguette crystal one) but I am so worried the stones will fall out. I don’t know if I can make the leap and purchase one for 700-800 if a stone falls out.
shoppingwithapassion maybe look at the preloved market?
