🥰
The mistletoe is lovely! I had no idea a bunch could be that large. Stay safe and warm. I always enjoy your videos.
They can be enormous Betsy 😃
What a beautiful house and property! I’m glad you didn’t have flooding or too much damage. You and your adorable husband have the positive, cheerful and creative outlooks, needed to turn this into a masterpiece with lots of fun along the way! Thank you for sharing!
Merci Susan 🤗 we are enjoying the house so much together 🤗
Thank you both & sweet Coco and Peanut too🐾🐾 for sharing your storm aftermath! You have such a beautiful property and home to enjoy and take care of. I have never seen a mistletoe tree before, that is a huge beautiful tree and what a beautiful display Carl made in your foyer! That is how we decorate our home too, natural branches and lovely things we find on our property. Those winds sound over the top powerful. Thank you again for sharing your journey in Normandy with us.
Raven♥️

Coco and Peanut are loved! Thank you for caring for them.

Just a beautiful parcel of land so lucky..🕊🇺🇲💕
🙏
So glad you’re ok and only experienced minor damage. So lovely seeing your property even if the weather is inclement. Coco is adorable ❤
Glad you are all safe! You all make me smile
🤗
So happy you had minimal damage. The mistletoe was amazing 🤩 I had no idea they grew so tall! Stay safe and sound. 💗
It seems like everyone around Europe, Canada and US is being hit with this storm. In Ontario, Canada, we expecting another snowstorm. Its -12 with the windchill. Enjoyed your video and happy that you only have a couple of roof tiles to repair.
🙏
The mistletoe displays are lovely
So glad you guys didn't get flooded this time, or worse. What a lovely place! I'll be honest though, Peanut growling at the eggs just nade my night. That tickled me. Merci beaucoup !
Why he thought to growl at them we don't know Katy but it was cute 😃
Amazing video! You are weathering the move splendidly! Big job this property!
But great fun Suzanne 😃
I've never seen mistletoe so big, it's beautiful! Also, beautiful design of your iron gates in the garden. Glad you and your property are safe with not too much damage.
🤗
I growl at eggs, too. 😳 Beautiful daffodils...hope we get ours after this current snowstorm ends. Your place is stunning. Thanks for the walk through.
😃👍
Spring is going to be pretty there!
It will be Gretchen 😃
Love the mistletoe arranging. So natural, simple and elegant
Merci Angela x
Love the mistletoe! Glad you made it through the storm unscathed.
Miss Marie-Anne and Mister Carl no damage here in this house by the storm then you brought mistletoe is so lovely Thanks God we gonna be okay my beautiful teacher l love you muah ♡♡
We have had storms in Ireland, one storm after the other since last weekend. The wind and rain have been ferocious, particularly in the West of Ireland. Weather forecasters even talked about thundersnow. I never heard of that word before. Trees uprooted and electricity cut off in places. Rivers bursting their banks. Wind, lashing rain, snow then beautiful blue skies and sunshine.
Good to see you didn't suffer too much damage. Take care.☘
We have seen the devastation in the UK Bee we are very lucky 🙏
@@frenchfoodfrenchhome Hi Marie-Anne and Carl, just be careful about going to the outbuildings when it is very windy and stormy. Loose and flying slates are very dangerous. ☘
Glad everyone is safe. Love to the pups
Good afternoon Marie-Anne! I’m so thankful that you, Carl, and the pups are safe. Also, good to see y’all didn’t have any extensive damage to your property. The mistletoe looks so pretty in your entryway. Take care. Keeping y’all in my prayers. 💕
🙏
So glad you, Carl, Coco, Peanut and your home are ok after that big storm!
We had the same storm in the Netherlands, nasty storm, but your house must already have seen many storms. Beautiful property. And the mistletoe arrangements are beautiful.
I am sure it has weathered many storms over the years Francine 😃
Hi Marie-Anne pleased you are all ok. We here in
Liverpool had extreme high winds and I lost a few roof tiles. But at least we are still here 😂
🙏
I did not know mistletoe grew in trees . I thought it was a shrub.! Amazing in the house. I am glad you did not suffer any serious damage from the storm .
So glad you are all safe.
The mistletoe is beautiful ❤
That was quite a storm!
It was Robin - we were lucky to have escaped as we did 🙏
Such a lovely estate.
I'm very glad that you came through the storm with a minimum of serious damage. You may have heard of the disastrous flooding and highway washouts in November that effectively cut off Vancouver from the rest of Canada! Quite devastating for so many people, some of whom have lost everything: homes, livestock (it was in a rural area just east of Vancouver), livelihoods, and more. (Last summer it was devastating wildfires across BC.) We can never underestimate Mother Nature and climate conditions!
Yes indeed Elizabeth we have seen the devastation caused - we are very lucky 🙏
I always enjoy your videos. My husband was off to an appointment and I told him I was off to France. Loved the walkabout of the property to access the storm damage and was pleased it was minimal. Living in the Southeast US, we have storms often and I worry about the 85"-100' Sweet Gum trees around our house, but as those trees on your property, they have survived years of storms and persevere. Adventure for Coco and Peanut too!
I hope you will continue to enjoy your visits to France Judy 😘
Merci for showing us the storm damage and the li'l fur babies (Peanut and Coco) and the eggs and the mistletoe, etc. I am living vicariously through you at this beautiful estate you have acquired... so wonderful, aloha, stephanie
Aloha Stephanie - I am glad you are enjoying the channel 😘
LOVE what you did with the mistletoe, so lovely. The juxtaposition of the fresh green against the rustic metal is gorgeous. You have a beautiful property!!
🤗
So glad you survived the storms without much damage.
👍
Another great video! I never knew mistletoe grow in such large bunches. I'm in awe of this beautiful property and thankful for the love you & Carl are investing in it.
🥰
Glad to see you sustained so little damage from the storm. There are videos of GREAT Devastation in other areas.
Yes indeed Heather and compared to happenings further East nothing compares 🙁
Glad you weathered the storm. Here in Texas, Tuesday the sun was shining and temp in the 70s. Wednesday, temp drops to freezing with light sleet. Everything covered in a sheet of ice. Today, in the 30s. Wet and starting to freeze again. I don't have a winter or summer wardrobe. Just a winter and summer wardrobe.
Oh My Gebeva what a range of temperatures - I can see why you need to double up on wardrobes x
Hopefully Peanut made peace with those eggs!😂
He did Cindy 😃
So glad your beautiful property did not suffer too much damage. I can identify with your story. I live on acreage and have had my share of flooding, storms, power outages, uprooted trees and washed out driveways in the last couple of years here in Australia. Love that mistletoe 🧡
So that's what mistletoe looks like😃 I can sense all the love in your home with those mistletoes 💕
❤️
Oh dear!!! Take care.
It’s even cold and windy in Southern California! Stay warm! Love your hat and scarf!
🤗
Another little job for Carl. 😄 I have never seen live mistletoe… so thank you. I do have lots of holly though. God bless you both. Praying for all of Europe and the Baltics. ❤️
😃his list gets longer 😃
What a storm that must have been! I found this video, finally, and saw the beautiful brook that I had wanted to see. How wonderful. I was enthralled by the spectacular mistletoe and what amazing displays you made with it. I am happy to think of you both there in that ancient and special place.
We absolutely love it here ❤️ and are very glad to share it with everyone ❤️
I've never seen real mistletoe before. We don't have it here in Western Australia. It's beautiful. Thank you for taking us on your damage inspection. Glad to see that you had no major damage.
Love your "adventures" even if it's cold and windy, Coco and Peanut enjoy the outdoors, Chichauhau's are very strong 🐕😊
Coco is very hardy Leonie 😃 Peanut is a bit less so as his coat is very thin 😘
Chic chihuahuas
Chic chihuahuas protecting their home and property! ☺️
Love the mistletoe arrangements.
🤗
I'm glad you didn't have major damages on the property. And nice arrangements with the mistletoe! 😍
🙏
I love your little Coco! So cute! You have a beautiful property, it was lovely to see around. Carl made a beautiful display out of the mistletoe.
A great couple! That mistletoe is spectacular in the open vase. Simple is chic.
🤗
The mistletoe is gorgeous!
Good evening Marie-Anne lovely video thought I would share a joke with you reminded me when you mentioned the bin .Our bins in England during this stormy weather have been on a speed awareness course 😃
😃
Very glad to see there was not much storm damage. Kindest regards.
Your puppies are so adorable. Thank God you all are OK, unfortunately it's given you more work. Mistletoe looks very nice.
Work is work and keeps us busy Chirp Chirp😃
@@frenchfoodfrenchhome Yes, keeps us active and healthier. I love watching all your videos. You're a good part of my life I look forward to. God bless you, Carl, Peanut and Coco.
Good to see that you, your property and your doggies are well. When we drive towards Metz we see lots of mistletoe on the trees. I have some very high on the trees but never as big as yours. When some come down I keep them in cold boiled water with some detergent soap and they last for a very long time. Your husband's decorations bring a lovely touch of nature inside your home.
👍👍👍
Tonight we are expecting disruption from rain and snow. Please stay inside and be careful. 🤗
🙏
Marie-Anne : el nuevo hogar... es maravilloso!!! Se los ve muy felices a los tres: esposo ..Coco y tu y celebramos desde Argentina por ustedes💖 gracias por compartir!
Gracias Mabel x
Such a beautiful property! Thank you for sharing! Your husband seems such a kind good person. Also enjoyed seeing Coco having such fun🤩
🥰
We have a wind just like this and it seems to go forever! It is currently 23F here with snow flurries......and you....you have flowers! My daffodils will not start peeking up until mid April. Enjoyed seeing the tour of your garden.

Love these videos! You both are such a joy to behold!!💟💟
Awww merci Tami 🤗
Don’t blow away! Love the castle❤️🇨🇦❤️
🤗
I am glad your castle is safe. I wish to visit you. Hello from California.
🤗
It’s good to hear that you are all ok. The news footage from Europe and the UK was really awful.
A doozy of a storm! I'm glad you had such little damage. Adding to your To Do List will be ongoing. Ah, the life of a renovating country couple. Wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
You are very welcome Cherie 🤗
Wow Marie! I am so pleased to see you enjoying your new home in France. I’ve always been fascinated with countryside living and it looks like you and Carl are about to have the time of your lives at your new house! Please keep us posted on how you are. Love hearing from you and Coco and Pea nut. Please give them each a hug and kiss for me! 😘 😘 😚 💋 Sending love from Long Beach New York! And God bless and keep you all! Maybe one day I will be able to come to France and meet you.
Oh your property is beautiful! So glad there was no major damage done with the storm
😘
Hello Marie-Anne. I have just come across some of your videos I have missed in the past. My name is Marguerite and my great grandfather a British business owner, had a career in shipping in the port of Le Havre c1888. My grandfather was brought up for the first 20 years of his life there and was bilingual. My great grandfather moved to Liverpool on advice that it was the right place to be for that business and my mother also Marguerite her sister Lorraine and 2 brothers lived there too until a move to Cheshire for my grandmothers health. I always shone at school with French and I seem to have an affinity for the language and the country. I have been self learning it for the past 4 years and would love to practise it. I love your videos and am delighted to discover ones that I’ve missed. I have also always dressed French chic unconsciously too. My daughter has 2 horses and I used to ride when younger. So you see why I love all your videos so much. Thank you for them and please keep them coming ❤
Merci for sharing your story Mep 😃 if you are studying French and love my videos do check out my channel with Adeline here www.youtube.com/@Adeline-et-Marie-Anne 😘
Yes been very windy here in UK aswell. Aww love your little dogs xxx
Stay safe Shirley 😘
I love your videos. Your home and grounds are so beautiful.
Merci Jackie 🤗
Lovely heart warming video. Love the ending with the 3 of you together. So sweet.
🤗
Happy that your home was safe and sound! What lovely "digs!"
🤗
Peanut was camera shy in this video.
So enjoy these walkabouts on your property. Thanks for sharing.
He was to cold Karen - we will have to get his coat out 😃
Pleased you never suffered too much in the storm Marie-Anne. Here in the UK we have had 3 in a week.🤞🏻We all feel springlike soon. Love seeing your Coco & Peanut 👏x.
They were the same storms that hit us Alison - luckily we just had the very outside tails 🙏
Love your videos, I'm watching from New Zealand on a very wet cold day. The scenery is stunning, what a magnificent home, all the very best🌸🌸
So glad you did not sustain major damage. Spring is on it's way! You two are adorable and get on so well!! Nice to see after all the tacky and tasteless videos on utube. Hugs from NY!!
Merci Janice - we want to keep it real 😉
Flooding rains here as well in southern Queensland Australia. Weather has gone nuts everywhere 😳. Take care 🙏🏼
It seems more extreme every year Carole 🙁
the same storm we had here in Holland Marie Anne! four storms in a week!
It has been horrendous Lucja 🙁
Love your videos AND Coco and Peanut, Marie-Anne. 🥰
🤗
Daffodils already! It was down to 3 degrees this week and some snow at my house. It will be a couple months before my Daffodils show their heads. Stay safe from the wind.
We shall Lori merci x
Wow! We don't have mistletoe in Canada. Nice.
😘
Carl is a man of many talents. Because of winter storms and war in Ukraine with rumors of Russia cutting off supply chains for oil, gas and food, maybe stock up on those items just in case. If you don't need them, your neighbors might. You have plenty of room for storage. Looking forward to the next chapter of Life in the French Countryside.
So pleased everything was o.k for you after the storm, just have to say what a lovely couple you both are ! X
Merci Tracy x
I am right across the pond in New England, USA and we had terrible winds also….Glad you had little to no damage….your stone wall will be beautiful in the spring. You two make me smile, 🙂 Thank you.
🤗
You've got an apple tree and mistletoe! Brilliant! Just what you need to propagate mistletoe! Apparently it loves apples trees so why not have a look online for instructions and give it a go? Just cut a groove in the required place on a suitable branch of the tree and press a squashed mistletoe berry into the groove making sure the black dot remains firmly stuck in the groove to take hold. It doesn't take easily, but rewarding if it does. Bonne chance!
We will look into that April 😘
Glad all is well!!
Annette here. What a storm! Looks like you escaped without too much damage. 👍 I love the patina on those barn doors! Will you try to keep them, or will you have to replace with new wood? Congratulations on your new home! So exciting!
Carl has ideas for photo shots Annette x
@@frenchfoodfrenchhome that sounds like a fantastic idea!
Wow, does that part of Normandy have a name for the wind? At school we learnt of the Mistral . Beautiful big bunches of mistletoe, was any kissing involved?
I will ask my father Noreen he is the font of all lore in our family 😃 as for the mistletoe 😉
Very glad you had no serious damage! This is very quickly becoming a favorite channel!
Merci Emily 😘
