    For the blue propane tank, You gotta pull the stem with pliers in the small hole. Allows the gas to enter. Uncle figured that one out

    You have to flip it up side down to get the liquid out. Being under pressure doesnt make bring the liquid to the top. Trust in gravity.

    Your adaptor is fine. It's the gas bottle that is the problem. In the EU it seems they have an anti refill valve inside. You can take the O ring retainer, the 0 ring and then the schrader valve
    out. Then with a 2mm drill bit, drill out the little rubber ball. Put the valve back in and the 0 ring and retainer and you should be good to go.

      @@Beta250trials Hi, I’m having the same problem not being able to refill a 400 gr propane canister (Rothenberger). When you say “valve”, do you mean the primary valve in the blue canister? I’ve tried two adapters, one with a hose and one direct (as you show here).

    I'm sure you've figured it out by now that you need an adapter for your bleeder valve. In Australia all LPG bottles have such a valve for refilling as it let's the air inside the cylinder out as the LPG is forced in. BTW. It's a total NO NO to put LPG into a Butane tank. They are not the same thing.

    • @turboturd7954
      @turboturd7954 4 года назад

      they are the same thing, lpg has butane

    • @bicanoo_magic3452
      @bicanoo_magic3452 4 года назад

      @@turboturd7954 They are very different. LPG is heavier than air while Butane is lighter than air.LPG doesn't burn as hot so you need more of it for the same neat. In other words Butane stores more energy. You can only buy Butane in non-refillable canisters. Other than they are exactly the same.

      @bicanoo_magic3452 4 года назад

      @@turboturd7954 That's good to know as its easier and cheaper to use LPG, especially if you can use the Butane canisters. Filling them has always been my concern.

    • @turboturd7954
      @turboturd7954 4 года назад

      @@bicanoo_magic3452 In a butane dedicated stove, using butane, the butane jets will burn a "tuned" smoother, tamer and more even flame compared to a lpg refill. When using lpg in a dedicated butane stove. Flame burn is not as petite, its more angry and uneven, but still gets the job done.
      If you change your butane jets to slightly larger, it will burn lpg correctly. But its just as easy to add say 30% butane in with 70% lpg/propane when I fill the tank to have a smoother burning mix without changing any jets, but again, its not necessary.
      Gas is Gas, as in its flammable, but depending on the type, butane or lpg. Both flame types are tuneable using jets or mix's. Only major difference is lpg burns better when colder and like what you said, they have different gravity effects.

    Surely the pressures will equalise and volumes will be half for each cannister if they are the same volume?

    • @Beta250trials
      @Beta250trials  7 лет назад

      yup i know but its still not flowing must be a faulty valve

    • @A2Z1Two3
      @A2Z1Two3 7 лет назад

      I think it is more a pressure difference. I guess if the empty canister is fed from a full canister the pressures will equalise, but if you then also cool the empty canister h activity( pressure) of the 'empty' canister is further reduces, so it will take more of the liquid gas than at ambient temp.

    • @reallytinychannel6455
      @reallytinychannel6455 6 лет назад

      The pressure in the originating tank will barely change. The receiving tank will acquire the same pressure as the originating tank. Cooling the receiving canister will further liquify gas contents at same pressures with originating tank. Be very careful not to fill up with liquid. The canister will not be able to hold the pressure when it returns to ambient temperature if it’s completely filled with liquid. This is because liquids are (nearly) incompressible and will try to expand when it heats up. This is very dangerous because you cannot visually see the liquid content. Weighing the canister may help but be aware that different liquids will weigh differently.

    • @reallytinychannel6455
      @reallytinychannel6455 6 лет назад

      The only time the pressure in the originating tank will change is when it runs out of liquid. Pure butane is about 34 psi at 25deg C (?). It will remain at this pressure until all liquid butane runs out. Or if the temperature changes dramatically.
