My dad owns a Punto since 1997 , he bought it brand new at that time , he still owns it to , he uses it daily to go to work , it has 380000 km and it's running smoothly , he loves this car more than me , I'm worried
I'm borrowing one from my grandma currently and it's the most horrible car I've ever driven haha. Not only it looks sad and uninspiring, the interior quality is very shoddy and horrible and every plastic things seems to be wobbling around barely attached to anything. And it's lacking in power too, always have drop all the way down to thirds gear even in a mild hill or the car will lose speed if there's any more than two persons on board.
I have the same car right now, and I love it so much, when I bought it, it was in really bad condition, and im slowly repairing it. Yes, maybe its slow, and all...but for some reason, I love it
The fiat (M391SVR) was last on British roads September 2009. The micra (M183UFC) was last on British roads April 2005. The ax (N369UVR) was last on British roads July 2010, well done! haha
in 2022 my dad still owns and drives 1997 3door Fiat Punto S 1.1 has done well over 260 000 km on the clock with it and is 2nd owner. I miss driving that car :(((( Very fun and zippy and easy to park around the city.
I had 1998 fiat punto 1.1 engine size, 5 speed manual max speed 140 , was my first car, I owned for 5 years , car had 180k in total, I don't recall ever changing oil on that car i just add more oil. Never changed air filter either, had used winter tires that I bought used and they were on the whole time on it. Punto would always start even on minus 25 where many cars died , he started. I liked the car back seat was full of memories, mine was white 2door . Awesome lil car!
when was this filmed ? how is a 1995 Punto only £2 grand ? i actually saw a 1998 Punto today but its up for £1000 you dont see them much nowadays sadly as they are fun cars
@@glennchinyangarara8225 Yeah the engines in the Fiats are ok but gearbox and clutch go wrong often in newer Fiats , I drive a mitsubishi colt at moment only cost me £600 in 2017 and never had a major issue on 135 thousand miles now lol I want to get a little Zoe EV soon as they cost nothing to run 👍
Punto was ok I guess it looked dull though. Micra's were.. I don't know really kinda too small but at the same point never had a problem with it Citroen uhh horrible the shapes wrong looking :/
+InvisibleYetVisible I can relate to the head gasket problem, I had a '98 55 S for three and a half years and recently I sold it with blown head gasket but before it blew, it did 23k miles during the time I had it without any mechanical problem and I had no problems whatsoever with the electronics either (had 80k miles when I bought it, sold with 103k). The 55hp engine can last long if properly maintained, once I met a guy who had the exact same car but with 250k miles on the clock. Mine wasn't a well maintained example sadly, was rusting badly and the engine was oily, but for a car that costed only 1000€ (about 800£) to buy and did 23k miles with only the most basic maintenance (changing oil regularly at 6k miles and using the recommended oil - Selenia Gold), one can be extremely pleased. Now I have a '04 Punto 1.3 Multijet which will hopefully do higher mileage than the 55 S, it's extremely economical and the 55 S wasn't bad either for a petrol car. I'm gonna defend the small Fiats from now on, they are all great value for money, they are very cheap to maintain and insure as well.
+Mk2b Tranceporter Oh don't get me wrong. I like Fiat's, I particularly like the Punto HGT. The thing is with the head gasket, it's a common problem and it's a known problem, but 9/10 it happens because of the same reason. Poor maintenance, people not checking the cooling system properly, or stopping if the car is overheating. I blew a head gasket on a poorly maintained Fiat Uno and my girlfriend blew one on her Punto. They're a common issue, but if you service regularly, in particular the coolant, you'll have no problem at all.
I still have my Punto 75 from 1994!
23 years old 400 000 km.
Not for sale, too much memories.
prijesvegaslavonac me too i have one from 1994 , with 121000 km
prijesvegaslavonac Is it still alive?
Good luck with your radiator!
Keep it! Unbelievable beauty… saluti dall’Italia.

@@Iisakki3000 you are using your modern day spoiledness to judge the car from 26 years ago …

I still have Punto from 1997 with 305 000 km
Punto, 1996, 600 000km!
pegovt I have one from 1994 with 121000 km
Punto 2014 47000km is not that much, but I didn’t have a single problem so far.
first car is a punto 60 from 1996 - no power steering can sometimes be a problem but its great overwise - when everything isnt broken

Well my 1995 Fiat Punto 1.1 55 just passed its MOT today after a little work on the sills
1:30 well she wasn't buying Citroën from that moment when he slammed him with Punto's door
I would cry if these were still this price now
Rolling in an elx td70 1997 model up to this day! I love it ❤
55hp and 40mpg. We have come a long way since 1995.
Yup. Got a new Punto ("Evo", 2013 Model) as my first car. 105hp at 40mpg.
Needs the extra horses to pull all the heavy safety equipment you get in modern cars
My fiesta does about 45 mpg at best, I think mpg has dropped on modern cars. Probably are heavier now
@@صالحالرمسيسي-ض4ذ dhdyjdjfdlkpsodmvl
yeah all the way to 65hp and 42mpg
1:30 rip door
Probably caved the whole side of the AX in... they were pretty flimsy even compared to the Punto....
Wow 23 year olds look so much younger now

Had a 2005 fiat punto Mk2.5 then upgraded got the 2011 Punto Evo but kinda moved away from fiats and went for a Kia, far more reliable

Barely ever seen the MK1 Puntos in the UK now, my parents had a red 1998 model.
I love it!
i bought month ago 1998 2D Fiat Punto, 105tkm driven and cost 400euro.
5 doors do look shit she is right! 3 doors are better for the looks
I bought my 1.6 punto, same condition as that for 450. Though I assume this was filmed a while back.
i have fiat punto 1.2 and its 30 years old or more, it still works but needs some fixes
Had a mk1 punto P177TYG great car cheap on fuel but rotted away and scraped it
i remember this channel
Lucy is nearly 50 now. God I feel old...oh wait the car in 1995 not the filming date!
I hate the steering wheel of Punto S and the low tier puntos.GT and 1.2 16v are more stylish and have better sterring wheels.
Punto 55 ❤

I have a fiat 500 2010

Citroen - crap
Nissan - ugly but ultra reliable
FIAT - Better looking, better built but not as reliable (head gasket)
