although the recipe is very gud but the only thing kashmiri in this dum aloo is kashmiri mirch... kashmiri dum aloo are cooked in curd and onion garlic tomato is not used...
traditionally kashmiris use shallots ( called "Pran " in kashmiri ) for curry instead of onions . since shallots have become very rare in kashmir and are very expensive many recipes have replaced shallots with regular onions . So this recipe is not off the mark . . besides that Shallots are also a variety of onions only better tasting .

although the recipe is very gud but the only thing kashmiri in this dum aloo is kashmiri mirch... kashmiri dum aloo are cooked in curd and onion garlic tomato is not used...
you t absolutely right...I too was confused at the use of onion tomato n garliv. Also she didnt add saunf which is a necessary ingredient I guess.

traditionally kashmiris use shallots ( called "Pran " in kashmiri ) for curry instead of onions . since shallots have become very rare in kashmir and are very expensive many recipes have replaced shallots with regular onions . So this recipe is not off the mark . . besides that Shallots are also a variety of onions only better tasting .
