LYRICS:
Ostracized and terrorized
The outcast knows no way to survive
Plagued by fear, year after year
Her cries for help fell on deaf ears
Forever unknown and so alone
Where the hell in the hallways always feels like home
The girl that was lost
The girl no one saved, with blood on her face
Maybe now they’ll remember her name
The girl that they crossed
They’ll never contain and no one is safe
Maybe now they’ll remember her name
Stepped on like shit and drowned in their spit
They tore her world apart for their own benefit
But they can’t hold back the certain wrath of a pissed off prom queen psychopath
The girl that was lost
The girl no one saved, with blood on her face
Maybe now they’ll remember her name
The girl that they crossed
They’ll never contain and no one is safe
Maybe now they’ll remember her name
When happily ever after came crashing from the rafters
She knew she wasn’t meant to wear their crooked crown
But look who’s laughing now
“And now the moment you’ve all been waiting for,
Your Bates High Prom queen for 1976 is…Carrie White!”
Covered in blood, they called it good clean fun
But now her mind is a weapon that they can’t outrun
When rivals attack a school’s spirit strikes back
The girl that was lost
The girl no one saved, with blood on her face
Maybe now they’ll remember her name
The girl that they crossed
They’ll never contain and no one is safe
Maybe now they’ll remember her name
When happily ever after came crashing from the rafters
She knew she wasn’t meant to wear their crooked crown
But look who’s laughing now
I’d like to thank Ice Nine Kills for giving Carrie a happier ending than the one she got in the book and the movie. She deserved better after what she went through!
You said it!
I agree 🖤 I am grateful Carrie had a happier ending
couldn't agree more.
Si XD
AGREED
It's funny how this is a better anti-bullying campaign than any actual anti-bullying campaign.
Top tier my guy
Just imagine going to prom and Ice Nine Kills is playing though😂
Ryan O'Connor id never miss a prom lol
Best prom ever
And then imagine slow dancing on this music 🤣
I'd have had a reason to go to my school's prom
If I found out that INK played at my school prom, that would be the best day of my life.
I love how instead of just becoming a supernatural bully to everyone else in her life after highschool, she broke the cycle and became a mentor for students to teach them to be better.
And a mom, I think 🤔
As someone that was relentlessly bullied in middle and high school, when I finally did stand up to those that bullied me and others, I started gaining a reputation as the person to go to to help people with bullying. That's the kind of person people should be, the one that stands up for the outcasts. Because if one outcast stands up for themselves, the rest will follow in their footsteps.
🙌🙏✊
Ok
That’s gay
Man fuck em comments, school sucks for most of the people that have hearts. Everyone else tryna be something they not that’s why everyone’s airheads in these comments, they the people ur talking about we have a voice we have had experiences use that to help others, ur a good man bro. Stay that way.
@@XxKHRIZxXhXcimagine still using that as an insult 😂 what mentally difficient bs
Man, INK played at a talent show in 1959, a prom at 1976, and they're still playing today? They look like they never aged
lmao i hope this is a joke
@@twinklingstarrs5505 it's from their different music videos dude
why can't people understand good humor
What music video did they play in 1959?
shadowwar9x Gaming The Quickest Way to a Girls Heart is Through Her Ribcage.
Im so mad at myself for not discovering this band until now. They put out incredible masterpieces of music and videos
Yeah so very true and i only discovered INK about 2 years ago
Now go watch their 2 new album, silver screams 1/2. Their best work
This aged well! They just get better and better
I'm discovering them now
At least you discovered them sooner than I did!
I'm a film student, and I just love it when a music video is as amazing as the song it represents, specially when it tells a story.
This is how anti-bullying campaigns ought to be done.
Anti-bullying advertisements should emphasize the fact you shouldn't bully on the basis of being a decent person, not because of a consequence. Isn't empathy the point?
Bullying tends to come from fear. The irony isn't and shouldn't be lost on any of us.
I would defy anyone to say they have never bullied another individual. As a parent I undoubtedly have, using scare tactics to enforce a rule is creating fear in your child. Most of the time I can justify this, road safety etc. but I have no doubt I will have overstepped a number of times. Overall I must have done well, my son is mid teens, doing well and has a good sense of self and pretty good confidence, but not to see where I got things wrong would be bad parenting. Too many think of bullying as something others do and are unwilling to assess themselves, I assess myself a lot, you can't improve if you don't.
I was the skinny little nerd with glasses at school so yes I got more than my share of bullying. It messed me up, wasn't the only thing to do so, same true in most cases.
nerds like knowledge for knowledge's sake so when I saw a couple of situations that came to pass in adulthood I did something many messed up can't. I retrospected and understood a bit more.
First instance was seeing a guy who wasn't the worst of the bullies in my final school, in fact he didn't pick on many, I was 1 of them. He came up to me and apologised for what he did and explained why he did it. He wasn't achieving well in school, he tried but didn't have the natural aptitude, teachers would often say he needed to work harder and be more like me, basically bullying him into feeling low value. He couldn't fight back against them so he took it out on me instead, not fair, but how many adolescents have a stable enough mind to always be so (the neuro-science behind why is interesting by the way). Yes of course I accepted his apology, not to would have added to the bullying he'd received. I have helped in adult education since then too, his story is far from rare, teachers please take note, your bullying impacts too.
I did state I was a skinny little nerd with glasses. I'm still a nerd, but due to a lot of iron in my training diet skinny and little not so much. I was out a few years into training this way, a few decades ago now, and met up with some people I had known from school one of whom didn't recognise me and asked one of the others to tell him who I was. When he was told his reaction was fear, which I found offensive. The fact I was now looking down on him and could have easily beaten him up didn't mean I was scared enough to do so.
Bullying will never stop, the best we can do is ensure people are made aware of what they are doing to others and for parents and teachers to encourage not doing so. I will take a parallel from something else that is socially unacceptable and badly handled, rape. There was a forum where my wife saw a very brave parent with son and daughter, son being older. She had just had a conversation with her daughter about how to avoid rape and reflected that she had never discussed not committing this horrific act with her son. She didn't go straight to doing so as she wanted to prepare properly, but learned from this. My son has mean subject to this discussion, he didn't like it, but it helped him understand better and hopefully means he won't commit this offence. None of us like to think our sons will, but how many of us have done anything to help prevent it, my parents sure didn't, if anything the talk was almost promoting it in some cases.
@@Shinotant it would be more efficient to emphasize consequence rather than "being a decent person" children and young adults can be the most horrific ppl in existence, so for such heartless ppl only consequence analysis would have a chance of even getting through to them, for example schools should have mandatory seminars for all classes especially in the higher levels such as 13-15, 16-18 and go thorugh schoolshooters who went literally mad from bullying and because of it took it out on the school in a case of total animalistic ferocity fueled by hate created by the bullies i think then and only then there would be a slight chance of bullying to atleast go down somewhat, if they was forced to see pics of massacres carried out by ppl who went mad from being bullied, i think this extremely harsch and brutal method is the only way to get into their heads and literally show them what their behaviour inevitably leads to
Yes
Yeah
Listening to Ice Nine Kills gives you powers. Moral of the story: Listen to Ice Nine Kills kids
Am I the only one who'd love a movie of the entire album?
That Would Be aweeeeesome
It's literally a rip off song from Carrie the movie!! Go watch it they copied the ending
+ZETH GAMING (RejectedMolesterMoon) exactly. No point for creativity what so ever. Carie all over again.
First off, it's meant to copy Carrie. The Song Is about Carrie! And there's about 20 Different references to that and Steven King in general! Second, if you're gonna bitch about the video, go listen to it on a lyric video. And Third, I'm fairly sure they meant they want the whole album as one long consecutive Movie.
the whole album is supposed to be based on various books, but most of those books already also have a movie
I love how unique this album was. basing every song off a piece of literature was pretty creative in its own right. amazing job for sure.
I believe every song was based off of movies
My bad I was thinking of another album.
@@mackenziecarder5060 tbf, almost every song on that album was adapted into a movie so there is that.
That was a message people, y'all need to respect people's feelings regardless of what they look like or who they are.
There's no message, everything is based on a book
+Mr.Keiser It was based on a book, however INK still wrote the lyrics to address this problem...
+Dylan LikesOAA INK wrote the lyrics to address the book. This isn't an anti-bullying message, it's just them interpreting the book through music.
Actually it is both. Spencer stated as much himself in the behind the scenes footage of this video.
Unless they are serial killers who drink blood out of living victims
and just like that silver scream was born.
My mums reaction when she listened to my taste in music 2:54
Haha same, also her reaction when I watched Carrie and she came at the moment she was covered in pig blood.
Yes!!! Yes!!! Sooooo happy this got a music video!! Favorite song on the album for sure!
Oh hey Dickey!
nice to meet you here! IX is awesome
DICKEY
hii dickey
Oh heyyyy haha
INK has the best music videos of any band ive ever seen. They put so much effort into them they actually tell a story. A big reason why theyre my favorite band
Fr they re so good 🔥🙌🏻
Love the Song. Great message. Bullies take note.
It's about the movie Carrie you uncultured swine, all their songs are based on horror movies
@@zackhartle8629 actually the album that this song is on is based on novels. Carrie was originally a novel then it got turned into a movie. Also why are you getting all upset about the guys comment, he was just saying what he thought about the song
@@zackhartle8629 not all their songs, like Romeo and Juliet, Jaws, Edward Scissorhands, and more
Anyone else notice that Carrie's eye colour changed when she looked/winked at Kevin at 6:28?
good 'eye' lol
Kinda hard not to miss it
Spooky
Indeed
Yeah. But goddamn. Why did she have to be his mom? I would rather it just be her sticking up for a random student out of empathy.
please let my prom be like this. the music, not the dancing alone. totally down to be killed by a demongirl tho
Rodot Approves did your prom turn out like this?
LoL u r going to prom
Carrie wasn't a demon girl though. She was just a normal girl (well normal despite having telekinesis) who was driven to insanity by bullies. Excluding the powers part, Carrie could very well be anyone in the real world, only instead of telekinesis, it'll be a gun or a knife.
Trouble getting girls i take it?

2:43 I‘d love a Prom with INK as the Schoolband
„Hey, we are ICE NINE KILLS and now we are playing one of our own songs“
*Everyone starts dancing the blues*
*They starts playing Hell in the Hallways*
*me aggressively trying to start a Moshpit*
Lol moshpit at a prom would be sick
Dude can I join lol
I'd really appreciate some of the material from Silver Scream too
I love all the horror references in this video: Mr Torrence, Coach King, such an awesome job you guys!
I’m so obsessed with this band. From the vocals to instrumentals all the way to the depth of their music videos, they are insanely phenomenal! I hope to see them live one day. They are pure talent through and through. And not to mention the hidden Stephen King references throughout the music video (besides the obvious Carrie)
Damn I wish I would have had one person stand up for me like this when I was in school. Bullying caused me to never finish high school.
I feel you bro.
I feel ya. I'm sorry you had that experience. I was a victim of bullying when I was growing up as well. For being myself....for being "different". The only one in the whole school who liked metal and dressed in all black.....i was the freak....It really changes you....could cause mental issues as well. I am glad I never changed who I was though....I hope you dont either! Xoxo 🤗🤗
Sorry dude. I hate that so many people are so hateful. I know how you feel.
I was kinda lucky cause I experienced bullying in the period of 7-12 years old
Now I am 17 and this has affected my socialization
But now I feel things getting better
If someone is a victim he/she should ask for help
Im glad my country doesnt allow guns so easily, otherwise the world would've been 23 people less. I have been bullied for all of the 12 years of school and that resulted in PTSD
one of the best metal music videos of 2016 imo
love how everyone starts burning up and dying, that was pretty sick
Watch the original film for Carrie, that ending was drawn super heavily from that.
LOL WHAT, this is one of the cringiest music video's I've ever watched, also had a crappy as fuck acting and they butchered the 'Carrie' ending remake
@@Morbidly_Sweet Reviewing your comment I see that your grammar is very poor. Luckily the iPhone your parents bought you has auto-correct to disguise a bit of the utter annihilation that is you trying to type properly. With that out of the way, I don't see how this video is cringy whatsoever. If you compare this to some other music videos from different bands/artists, it is far superior. The acting was not "crappy as fuck" it was actually very well done along with the entire video. Basing their music off of things like classic literature and horror movies is very unique and something needed in this age of talentless, unoriginal soundcloud rappers. What puts the icing on the cake is that they can make their songs have the feel of what they are basing the song off of. This is something a lot of bands can't pull off. Something you must also know is that these guys are not the makers of Carrie, so they're not going to make the exact ending. The band even said that when they make these music videos they put their own touches in there for the Ice Nine Kills feel. The ending was not supposed to be an exact replica, it was their own depiction. Either way, it's still far more entertaining to watch and enjoy than 90% of the horrendous "music" that's being put out today. I hope you enjoy your day, and enjoy typing out pointless comments on music videos that are 2 years old since you have nothing better to do. I'd advise actually paying attention in English class from now on instead of collecting and chewing the gum from under the desks.
Hunter
Hahaha wow someone’s mad lmaooo
TL;DR @@mr.mayhem833
wow that plot twist on the end
Have you never seen the movie Carrie?
Lucas Guaraldo it's from the movie Carrie, based off the book.
It's about a girl who has an abusive mom and gets bullied at school. the thing is, the bullies are unaware that Carrie has telekinesis and move thing with her mind.
I think he ment the fact that the teacher was an adult Carrie.
Abbadon 〔 that's what I was thinking
All their songs are based on horror films. This is about Carrie
Okay, I don't know why this made me so happy but when she winked I KNEW IT WAS HER!
Can Ice Nine Kills create a movie or something?? I'd watch it forever. That was a pretty good video. 😊
Scarlett Rosette This is based off a movie actually... Look up "carrie prom scene".
Delsin Strider Oh okay thank you!
You got your wish 😂
Definitely Art imitating life while telling a story. Spencer and the guys have mastered both .
This represents "fuck around and find out"
This band does not get the credit they deserve!!!
then again it took almost three minutes for the song to start whether it was mediocre or not
+Meenah Peixes Well they do have a back story to it... so they have to explain it..
I guess. They're okay
The only thing this band does differently is add theatrical elements into they're songs, oh wait other bands already did that...
-Panic! At The Disco
-My Chemical Romance
-Motionless In White
etc.
INK has some good songs, like "the greatest story ever told" is unique as fuck and they have other good songs, but they're generic with they're sound, they've added a few cool electronic elements in they're new songs but that's not enough for some people.
Eh? There's nothing special about this. Sounds like every emo song pumped out in 2010
I just got into this band right now. And I'm blown away. This is one hell of a good band
Me two =]
I was listening to em back in 2007 2008. They had mad talent. But to actually see a band grow and get better and better is very rare. So many of my favorite bands from my musical peak have let me down. They've let us all down. Trying to make it big and wanting to be mainstream has broken a lot of good bands. It's all about growth and constant experience in what you know best and stick to it and respect it and master it
When the teacher said the will tell coach King, I feel like that's a reference to Stephen king
No doubt.. Also, the bully's last name is Torrance, which is likely a reference to The Shining..
And from viewing a 2nd time, the snobby girl's name is Christine.. INK knows their shit..
dude thats sick, thanks for the extra info
+Josh Bak Wondering what else is in the video
+Philip Starkes Actually the director came up with it, and how to link each video.
this is my first time hearing this song... wow.. it's going to be on repeat for a few months.
These guys have grown so much! This was the first video I watched and I'm so surprised that their music got even better throughout the years
Same as his voice
I was listening to em back in 2007 2008. They def have always been good. But they really really have grown and that's rare. They are the real deal
Every comment on ice nine kills video
"I thought this way nine inch nail because i can't fucking read a durrr"
Um cool i guess
😂
Let's face it:
The story doesn't end here.
Fucking YES! The attention to detail was amazing. You boys best come to the UK this year like you said you would, gallons of blood is optional of course

Has nobody ever watched Carrie the movie or read the book? Lol parts of what I love about INK is all the great references they make. Amazing
I love how the music videos for their songs have a storyline to them
INK never lets the fans down. Love how they put so much effort into making their videos and songs! Keep it up!

This will always be my favourite INK song. Catchiest chorus ever!! ♥️
Moral of this video is don't fuck with anyone or they'll unleash their fucking telekinesis powers on you during prom

First time I've listened to this band I'm fucking floored they're so good!
I found them a few months ago... they very quickly went to my top 3 bands.
I'm gonna go through their discography, they'll definitely end up somewhere high on my favourite bands list (I also go on a bands wiki if I've just started listening to them to learn their history)
I found them a couple days after listening to your number's up and they're soooooo good at what they do. I feel like they should make an album DEDICATED to books Stephen King made over the years
My mom just linked me this and said "this sounds like your music" lol why yes mom, INK is my music. Now to link her Communion

rn in an ink marathon and thought about them making songs about horror videogames, the only one they have (as i know) is rainy day but i'd really love to see something about fnaf or outlast, in wich there's a character that really fits soo damn well with spencer
No matter how many years have passed, I still tear up over this magnificent storytelling ❤❤❤

Also he said to listen to this first chance I get so here I am!
This Ice Nine Kills 🔪🩸 song the lyrics saved my life got me through my hard times in my life
Not sure why the main jock is bullying anyone when he literally has a receding hairline and a bald spot lmao
THAT PLOT TWIST
CALLED IT on the teacher! Was INK Getting original actors in on these videos yet at this time??
Their screaming vocal range is phenomenal.
INK is amazing. This video is perfection. The acting is a little weird, but the video is an amazing tribute to the horror legend Stephen King. You guys never dissapoint, and I've been around since Safe is Just a Shadow
I never thought Carrie was horror, but more supernatural thrama (thriller-drama). No matter how she ended up, I felt sympathy towards her. If anything, fuck the mom.
brucenatelee I didn't mean Carrie was a horror. I was saying its a great tribute to Stephen King, who wrote it. He's a horror legend. Yeah, I always felt bad for her. and fuck the mom lol
i would say her situation could be described as horror. I mean god damn it fucking sucks.
Thank you Ice Nine Kills for making this song. This song should be an anthem for anti-bullying. And as someone who gets bullied half of the time, this really speaks to me.
I love how their songs always have such a deep story. I love this song and the video.
Her face kills me everything the vocals kick in, because my reaction was the same the first time I heard this😂🤘
I think the twist ending where the principal is Carrie White is set up fantastically!
I'm mad at myself for not listening to this before. i love the message of the song :)🖤
The ending gave me the most chills... And makes me want to have super powers at the same time😂
is it just me or was Carrie extremely attractive after she was covered in blood and all psychotic
ikr
exactly!!
In all 3 versions, actually.
more so, maybe. I've found her attractive well before all that though.
Well the shy girls are the freakiest
Love how this band is so obsessed with Stephen King stories!!
if bullying actually still exists. i wonder how long it will take before they will realize that bullying creates mentally disturbed people. basically they are building their own graves. hell lies in us all. are they really ready to face their victims demon?
all i am saying is. why take the chance? why push someone to the breaking point? that might be the last mistake they'll ever do. just saying.
They won't ever realize what they're doing to people, bullies are so egomaniacal and desperate to feel like they're superior that they will destroy someone's self-esteem
they aint ready to face the hell that victims hold inside
I'd love to meet more bullies in high school I'd bully the bullies (not that that is the answer or the right way to take care of things) and you know what when people get a taste of their own medicine they tend to lighten up a little
IF bullying still exists, like its only a rumor😂😂😂 yeah people are still shitty to complete strangers
Preach
I'm gonna call it and say there will be a video or lyric video for Nature of the Beast.
+Connor Quinn god i hope so.i loved animal farm as a novel, and the song is amazing
+Daniel Gimber is it good because i have the book just laying there. i just couldnt get over the talking animals
+Joymar Cruz it's an amazing book. Great visualization of the downfall of the USSR
I know there's already a lyric video, but I was hoping for Bloodbath & Beyond. Maybe have Carrie as Dracula's wife?
+Synyster Gates that would be so cool but I don't think they'd make a music video if it has the lyric video sadly.
When your teacher or principal gives you a book that reads hell in the hallways. You say messages received. Stop any bullying form here on then.
I like how people think it's all fun in games to bully people but then when the person that they bully snaps and is on top them choking to death or something its not a game
when I listen to this album, I can't help but feel it as a practice towards "the silver scream"
Just bought the book today because of the song and already halfway through it! Love this Album!
A music video after the story of Carrie by Stephane king 🙌🏼 also a great song! Loved seeing you in St. Catharines ❤️ hope you guys are having fun on your first warped tour
funny how their album is named Every Trick In The Book, which every song represents the book they referenced

Hahahahaha I didn't expect that, really, the end was very cool. So powerful, I don' have any word to describe this. Great work, you can save a life.
I was bullied from 1st grade through 10th grade.. Took me 7 schools to graduate.. Last school no one picked on me.. all kids respected all the other students.. didn't mater if rich, poor, education level.. I was picked on so much. I still deal with it at 48 years old.. I had a mental break down from so much hate from being a kid to an adult from abusive relationships till 2018.. I have no trust in men anymore and stay single.. I had 2 years of great school years though to graduate..
