Silas, I'm happy that you got your green crew cab Dodge. Nice video. Thanks for taking the time to do it. The 50 GMC with the solid cab is really cool!
I just love the evening shots with the late day sunlight making everything glow in a special kind of way. America's heartland at it's best. That taffy pink GMC was really cool. Too bad someone couldn't save the whole truck. I'd put a dura-max in it cus it would have been a gas guzzler with that V-6. Silas, I was wondering if any of those 58-65 Chevy big trucks had a W-motor in them. That red tow truck near the beginning looked like a good candidate to have one when it was new. Also the C70 at 8:48.
Can you record your Dad's reaction when you tell him what you paid for that green truck? I was shocked that you kept bidding. I guess you chased it for so long, you had to have it.
That auctioneer saw that you and the other guy wanted that crew cab Dodge truck and he MILKED EVERY LAST DOLLAR out of both of you before he sold it. Being a bidder most of the time at auctions I hate those guys, but if I'm a consigner, I love them. P.S. I love when you use your drone to show the areas you are in and this one was exceptional. I live in upstate New York and I can't get over how flat your state is, especially at this auction. P.S.S. You have such a calming voice when you do your videos and are so informative about your business. Thank you for being you.
I see you bought the front ends off of the 61 & 62 Buick Specials. I know the Skylark is the same body style from that time but with the faded paint and less trim I figured they were Buick Specials. The reason I know these is because one of the cars I learned to drive on was a 61 Special and the neighbors next door had a 62 Skylark.
Love when you take us to auctions. You're the master at seeing the value of what some see as just scrap and saving it from being trashed. Another fantastic video, Thanks for sharing!!
@AdventuresMadeFromeScratch, My Brother, Charles Johnson from Tulsa loved going to farm auctions down around Oklahoma & surrounding states. I was watching this and your enthusiasm & thought’s about saving old Trucks & cars & what not’s & still making a little money off things to continue collecting & restoring. He would’ve been right there next to you having the time of his life! ❤❤❤ When he passed away he had an airplane hangar filled top to bottom (cat walks above wrapped around ). & old barns full of treasures in lovingly restored vehicles, tractors & classic motorcycles & rare parts of such that went by a huge auction. People came from as far away as Germany & the UK & Canada to buy his collection. A lot of his customers in his life) were Germans who loved old American steel treasures like these. He would’ve been buddies with you, I’m sure❤ Thanks for bringing me back to happy times adventuring off with him to collect more treasures He’d hear about some old darling stored out in a barn or parked in a field somewhere & off we’d go! Eventually we would find whatever it was. & after exchanging pleasantries with the owner of such, he would haggle with the finesse of a true horse trader. And I would watch with pure enjoyment chiming in with helpful observations now & then… lol Oh such fun!❤ Thank you! P.S. New Sub!❤
Hey man, dont have buyers remorse. When you want what you want, its in front of you, then buy it. Like i mentioned in the other comment, what an exciting video.
Man you and Mr Goodplilers have the best farm auction walk arounds on RUclips. So far the Dodge at 9:39 was all me been looking for one of those a long time
What an awesome video! This channel just keeps getting better. And as a former scrapper I can say that scrappers are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.
I lived downstate Illinois in the 1950s. Really love seeing all those old farm trucks and equipment that were so common back then. Save what you can, leave the rest. When it's gone, it's gone. No regrets.
That yellow truck @21:22 had a really cool face. It had eyebrows but that green dodge you bought was pretty darn cool. I haven't seen any of those around here. Just on the original movie "Overboard" People used to roughnecks were trash. Oilfield trash. Some may have been but you can't judge them all just by one or two bad ones. I think your a pretty cool young man and you have a beautiful family.
I just found your channel today. I had seen this auction a few days ago on a different channel that I follow. I just subscribed and liked this video because I would have bought the same vehicles. I look forward to seeing what you do with them in the future. Thanks for sharing.
👍👌👏 2) Glad that you found the green double cab pickup truck that you always wanted. Thanks for taking us with you. Best regards luck and especially health to all of you.
Mr Silas Thank you for posting this auction. I enjoyed looking at US old Iron. I really liked the crew cabs, ship them to me here in Yorkshire ,England. Only kidding but I wish. Thanks to Skylar and your crew. JR/UK
Good for you! Wish the other bidder wasn't there that day would have made things better, but you did wait a long time, and that auctioneer made you wait even a longer time to say that SOLD ! I didn't think that was right on his part. Definitely be on the first load home!!!
Glad you got the one you were after and made a bunch of other great scores as well! Thanks for saving the IH crewcab! I agree with you on that black GMC grain truck, was a real looker when new!
Thanks Silas, nice editing on the auction results! Love the crew cab Dodge, knew you wanted it, the auction was making me sweat at the bidding! You did good getting by getting all those fronts and parts, you will do well at getting some of your money back.
I'm a fan of all the old big trucks especially the KB Internationals and late 40s early 50s Chevys. I guess that's the old trucks I learned to drive hauling hay and straw. Us kids never hauled grain as it was heavier and more valuable. Spent many hours dragging hay flats around pastures...,. Sad to see that old iron get scrapped, they just aren't making it any more. You can't save it all. Cheers Terry
Silas, good thing you spend your days on the move. Just checking out the auction site wound be tough with all that walking no matter how flat Kansas is! PS - Can’t believe that collection. Everyone had a chance to pick up a project. Thanks for vlog adventure! PS2 - When the hay rig came up, I thought Silas would like the round spoked wheels as art. Too funny you bought it. PS3 - Disney should make another animated movie on this junkyard / collection auction.
loving the content. was searching up junkyard videos because I love going to the upull salvage yards and seeing what goodies I can find. came across your channel watched one video and subscribed to your a little while ago and glad I did. i enjoy your videos Silas
Wow that was a awesome auction thank you for bringing us along. I almost cried seeing those 80-86 Ford trucks go for scrap I been looking for a good body for one of those.
Silas don't wait to long to get that crew cab dodge going. It's to cool of a truck. Wait to long and you will regret it. Those are the best years of dodge trucks and I hope you get running soon
Great score on the green Dodge crew cab. One of my favorites there. A guy a few blocks from us in north Denver has three of them, all original patina. All parked on the street at their corner lot. Many square body GMs and Chevys, I love them and have a 73 C30 with a Stahl utility body and rare rain gutter delete
It is very good that there is still people that care about the old stuff, I have a 1936 Chevy Dump truck in New Mexico and i live in Oklahoma, So either I sell it or I try to go get it. It nice to watch your videos
I thought I saw an old power wagon flatbed at the first of the video. 8:19, but ended up being a 41 international. Then at 8:45 possible power wagon. That's what I would've wanted. Plus maybe that turquoise apache. It had an amazing patina. Funny how the older baby blue vehicles can develop the turquoise patina.
I am rather new to your channel, however, since finding it on RUclips I have enjoyed each of the episodes about the auctions. Keep up the great work and good luck on happy $$$$ returns on your investments.
Very cool video! I liked the truck at 6:40. I guess you did do some hard work! These videos just keep getting better! Enjoyed the visit, as usual. I also enjoy seeing your sub numbers increasing each week. Take care!! Oh!, Um... I think your wife found out about the cost thing. I didn't tell her!
Amazing how incredibly artistic those beautiful old American truck noses are - an era of great automotive designers, from classic cars to more prosaic, utilitarian trucks !
That was an amazing auction! Great video! So glad you saved some good iron from the crusher! Congratulations on your birthday present crew cab! That crew cab corn binder is cool too!
Congratulations on your new Dodge.l definitely think you have enough to build your dream truck. My first truck was a 71 D100 with a 318 auto, red with a white top
I really want a vintage truck for yard art. Mostly complete with wheels but condition don't really matter as I won't restore it. I'm in va though. Everyone out here wants gold. Like 6k for trucks in the same condition you have them in. Maybe I'll make the trip one day lol.
I really like your videos. Reminds me of growing up in Iowa or visiting small towns in Nebraska. Your sound/music has greatly improved. You ever get to Omaha NE, I'll buy you supper.
Which one did you like best?
I nearly crapped myself when i saw “$8350 MINE” on the screen. Jeez that’s a lot!
The crew cab dodge for sure, that was a battle
I knew you would go for the greenndodge, thats what ive been looking for for 20 yrs!!!!
Facinated by the Buicks you cut the noses off of.
The black GMC is my favorite
Silas, I'm happy that you got your green crew cab Dodge. Nice video. Thanks for taking the time to do it. The 50 GMC with the solid cab is really cool!
These has to the best video you have very posted. Thank you.
The Orange pick up was a peach! 🍑 $1400
I just love the evening shots with the late day sunlight making everything glow in a special kind of way. America's heartland at it's best.

@ Ed Rannou LOL, I'd be interested in just seeing Sila's face on that one, tho we both know he was happy to get it & why!

Oh yes, It will be mine.

all of them were great, thanks for bringin us along, liked the drone shots
Excellent video. Nice selection of old Mopar trucks.
Great Video! Excellent editing adding prices!
I see Westin Champlain and Mr. Goodpliers were there.
Great job and congratulations!
Silas this is some of your best video work yet. Loved the music on the walk around, much better that wind noise.
Looks like you got caught up with the bidding 🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love when you take us to auctions. You're the master at seeing the value of what some see as just scrap and saving it from being trashed. Another fantastic video, Thanks for sharing!!
That was the auction that Mr. Goodpliers just showed ! I recognized the Blazer he bought !!! Eddy
I saw Mr. Goodpliers walk through & had a feeling you made it to this auction
This isn't just an auction this is a parts yard. Something this country is going to need in the near future.
Mr Goodpliers , did a Video on this auction as well, was hoping you would be there, Looked like a Honey Hole of solid old Trucks
I saw that crew cab in Mr. Goodpliers video and immediatly thought of you.

Spotted the Dodge Crew Cab on Mr. Goodpliers video last night. Immediately thought of you. Glad you got it.
Hey man, dont have buyers remorse. When you want what you want, its in front of you, then buy it. Like i mentioned in the other comment, what an exciting video.
You're incorrigible! "I just wanted one truck!" We are all addicts of something, LOL!
I still got it done in 2 days so it worked out. Sure I did a “full week’s” worth of work during that 2 days, but that’s ok 😆
Man you and Mr Goodplilers have the best farm auction walk arounds on RUclips. So far the Dodge at 9:39 was all me been looking for one of those a long time
I don't know why but I find the auctions a little nerve wracking.
To each their own though!
Thanks Silas!
I am happy you got your truck.
🤠👍👍
What an awesome video! This channel just keeps getting better. And as a former scrapper I can say that scrappers are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.
I think you are providing a necessary job, I am glad you save as much as you can even though it is even more work to sell them. Keep up the good work!
What a lot of fun and Happy Birthday Silas. !!!!!!!
Your videos are oddly calming and comforting. Thanks again Silas!
I was anxious when Silas was bidding on his truck 😮
Exactly, was really hoping he’d get it
I can appreciate a man that works hard ! Work till you can not, rest and do it again 👍 thank you for your time I enjoyed your video.
That big truck at 16:38 is cool!
Congrats on the green Dodge too, cool old truck!
Some of these went for quite a bit more then I thought they would!
U make the best auction videos, I love watching them so thankyou for your efforts
I swear Westin Champlin was one of the bidders.
Notice that too! The good guy Westen!
I lived downstate Illinois in the 1950s. Really love seeing all those old farm trucks and equipment that were so common back then. Save what you can, leave the rest. When it's gone, it's gone. No regrets.
Silas, when a man works so hard, he deserve to spend on something that he has always wanted.
That yellow truck @21:22 had a really cool face. It had eyebrows but that green dodge you bought was pretty darn cool. I haven't seen any of those around here. I seen this same preview on Mr Goodfellow. Go figure. I enjoy like the 40's trucks and all the other content you put out.
...??? ... Goodpliers....??
I love this stuff! I could watch this all day. Also digging the music you put towards the background.
I saw that Dodge crew cab in Mr Goodpliers video. I knew then that you'd have to have it! 😂😂😂 Great video my friend! Thank you.
Some cool trucks out there. Soon as I saw that dual cab I knew that had your name on it. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍
One thing about Bering Auctions if you bidding make sure the final bid is yours with them ! Great video.
32:50 The state of the headlights adds so much character to the look of that nose!
Thanks for showing us the old trucks. Love it
Thanks for sharing
Sweet. I knew when I saw that four door Dodge that was the truck you were there for. Glad you got it. Must be a rare one . Congratulations
Kansas is sure a cool State for truck hunting adventures.
Silas was running around like the ultimate kid in a candy store. Way too much nice stuff to see there.
I came here to comment on that too but I saw him in a Mr Goodpliers video!😊
I just found your channel today.
I had seen this auction a few days ago on a different channel that I follow. I just subscribed and liked this video because I would have bought the same vehicles.
I look forward to seeing what you do with them in the future. Thanks for sharing.
I saw this on Tim’s RUclips also. I watch you, Tim and Steve Mags more than the others I subscribe to
Was that westen champlin in the background at 18:50?
No
You got to admit it looked like him
@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch Wouldn't have been shocking if it was, he's from Kansas.
👍👌👏 2) Glad that you found the green double cab pickup truck that you always wanted. Thanks for taking us with you.

The auctioneer gets a percentage of sales, that's how they make their money.
Great buys, very popular items, good luck ! Very nice to see vintage trucks available in auction!

You did good getting by getting all those fronts and parts, you will do well at getting some of your money back.
that great you show the auction as its going to see what the vehicles sell for.makes you feel like your there.thanks
There was a lot of cool and unique truck there that are probably going to be parted out or scraped but very cool
On the Dodge, if that were a Canadian Dodge that would be a Fargo. Cool truck. Great job on the video.

Love it when you go to auctions.
Silas don't wait to long to get that crew cab dodge going. It's to cool of a truck. Wait to long and you will regret it. Those are the best years of dodge trucks and I hope you get running soon
You hit the jackpot for sure Silas. When I see that much vintage Detroit Iron in one spot, my heart races.
Amazing that stashes like that are still out there

No trees for a hundred miles!! Love it!!
How did they survive back in the pioneer days. No wood to burn for heat.
Cow chips
that green Dodge 4-door truck you bought, simply badass
