the truth about the quansheng radios running egzumer. don't waste your money it won't work on 27mhz

OK so I read all the hype about these little radios so. I got one to play around with it..... So if your buying one to try using it to talk on cb 27mhz band.... Don't bother just buy a cb radio instead it's a waste of money..... Firstly egzumer does open up the rx on all modes to n a vast range of frequencies but tx can only be enabled on fm mode..... I ran this radio with a 27mhz antenna and the recieve was totally rubbish on ssb on 27mhz a signal. Of s9 on my cb radio could hardly be heard on the quansheng using the same antenna...... I also put the same antenna through swr/power meter to find the power output it appears to output 10w on fm on 27mhz but the swr was crazy 5:1..... I then put it on. My ldg 1000pro tuner..... It would tune a coat hanger...... And same power seems to read 10watts on high but my ldg tuner was not able to find an exceptable tune and refused to try yet when I put my kenwood 480 hx radio with same antenna it tuned first click of the microphone...... The conclusion is if you intend buying this to use on cb radio save your money it's a waste of time and money..... Its recieve is rubbish and if you transmit with an swr of 5:1 whether you have a cb antenna on it or not it's not going to last long anyway.... And those are the facts on the quansheng radio on cb.... I would expect it's the same on all hf bands..... Good luck......
