MassHardscaper that excavator is plenty big enough to load that. We load tandems at work with a 35 size mini(8,000 lbs) machine all the time. Just seems like a waste to handle the same dirt twice when you could just direct load it.
@@stedder8436 Yeah but it takes more time for a little excavator to lift up to clear the side of a dump truck though. the skid steer can clear the side of the dump truck much easier.

Why not just back the truck closer to the excavator and direct load?
The excavator is to small to load this truck. It's much faster to load with the skid steer.

Jake D I disagree. You’re handling the material twice which is more time and using two machines which is more money
If you back up the truck 10 feet you don't have to pay to run a second machine and person. It would take the same amount of time.
