Another fun Feld game I’m learning this weekend. I think there can not be more than any one color on a space in the high council per page 11( I missed it…you had the specialists that allows that…very nice). Resources seem hard to get at times. I’m excited to play again and close the gaps in my thinking. Some iconology to learn. The top camera view makes it easy to see as you play, thank you!
Love Bonfire, and it was good to go back and watch your playthrough from a few months ago. My wife and I experience some of the same things when we're playing - "That was a terrible move. Why did I do that?" Always fun watching you both talk up and play through games.
37:15 i think you guys got the end game trigger wrong. Sunniva should have taken the stack once there were 7 novices, then at the end of her NEXT turn, she passes the token around. So you guys should have ended the round, then start the 5 round countdown
hey fellows! thanks for this video. I'm always eager about any new Feld game, but I'm on the fence on this one! Like Johannes mentioned, I also think that the player tableau management, with the puzzle of allocating the tiles to get more actions, and the matching of colors to get even more is brilliant! pretty cool idea. That is probably my favorite thing in the game and the multiple ways to score with the guardians, bonfires, etc. However, I am not really keen on the part of having to move to get tasks, etc. In a way, even if this is not pick up & deliver, it reminds me of oracle of delphi. Also, not a big fan of the theme, but I do like how it looks. I know you guys didn't like it, but I'm pretty certain of wanting to get Tuscany and Kokopelli, this one still not fully grasped! Hope I do end up liking it more. Great video!

Hey guys! Awesome job! About the gnomes, I think you can't put the same color like red did 21:00 , even neutral color. And only use 4 spots each (1 color per player/neutral gnome).
Hey! It’s correct that you cannot use the same gnome ability multiple times, but I had a specialist that said I could do it! If there is only four spaces, then yes, I did a major rules mistake there! I’ll check it up! Thanks for the heads up! :D Glad you liked the video!
I checked the rules, and I could not find anything about max 4 spaces. It only says to put it where there are no gnome of the same color. So that is the rule I can ignore with my specialist :)

Thank you! Yeah, I agree! It's challenging, especially the first few times! For me, it got a bit easier (not easy, easier :P) after a few plays, and I had more of a feeling what I was trying to do, and could plan more!
And still I think: ok, it’s a good feld. But is it still competing with the real good new designers like pfister and daniele tascini ? I still have doubts. So is it enjoyable enough for the heavier gamers ?
41:01 I think she accidentally made illegal moves. If I understand the rule correctly, she could only take the top or bottom tiles. But when she confused, she take the bottom tiles, cancel it, and wrongly put it on Top (not bottom). Then she decided to take “the bottom tiles” which actually is the second bottom tiles that she supposedly couldn’t take. But great video playthrough!
That makes sense! We don’t care about theme most of the time, so we don’t care! We do like a good theme, but it’s not important for us at all! Wouldn’t like Feld if we cared about those thingd 😂

Feld is far from an "instant buy" designer for me, but this one has me very excited. Your review did nothing to temper that!

I agree! I think it gets easier with more plays, as you can make more of your strategy around how to get the resources you need for that strategy!
This is a case where bad or non existent theme kills my interest.
