    I am attempting to modify the Part Number and File Name scheme in my custom Structural Shapes. Inventor uses incremental LENGTH as the last 3 digits of their scheme. I want to use a formula that will increment by one digit for each new member that I add to the Frame Generator Assembly. I also want to build my part number with the Project Number in the front.
    Example: &"."&&
    = 555
    = "123" prompted user input or a a field such as
    = formula for bumping the last digit for each instance added to the assembly
    Result: 555.12301, next number would be 555.12302, etc.
    Can this be done in a Family Table or Excel formula? It seems that iLogic may also need to be part of this solution.

      Thanks for reaching out! Pete has knocked out a video that combines some out-of-the-box Inventor functionality, as well as some iLogic code to accomplish your goal. Please check out the link below and let us know what you think!

      @@Team-D3 Awesome Pete!
      Your instructions are precisely what I want to do. The one thing that we might need to change, is our naming scheme for the top assembly. We would normally name that level 555.12300.iam, The first part would be 555.12301, then 555.12302, etc. I missed telling you that point.
      It may be simplest to do exactly as you did. Start that top assembly truncated.
      Any chance you could post that iLogic code so that I don't have to retype it? This aging CAD man is not seeing as good. ;-)
      You have been a million $ help. I just ain't got those kind of funds to dish out. But if I could, I would. Thanks again!

      @@BuffaloBluesBand I'm glad the technique will help you accomplish your goal! Unfortunately, RUclips wouldn't let me post the iLogic code and I'm tied up for a bit today. However, I'll look to knock out a blog post for you tonight / tomorrow and will post a link to it tomorrow. Pausing the video can work, but copying and pasting is SO much better :) Thanks for your patience and have a most blessed day!
      Peace,
      Pete
