Ahuva, what a treat and complete surprise to come across your sight. In 1992 in San Antonio I started taking classes at your home and painted the roses in your background with a white frame. I then continued to follow your classes with the Continuing Ed Classes from SA. At the time, I was Lissa Salinas. I am now married and still painting and mostly paint with a Palette Knife. So good to see you and I absolutely love, love your art. I am now living in VA with my husband. You are and always have been my greatest inspiration. Much love and happiness.
What a gift. Thank you Ahuva for sharing your talent. My Mother and I both enjoyed it very much. Love the complementary colors you chose for this piece.
I enjoyed the ease with which you painted the rose - especially listening to your instructions on how to use the palette knife ,i.e. left to right, etc.
These videos are interesting to watch, very simple to follow and the results are truly amazing. I painted red roses (then orange, then yellow!) after learning from you and got so many compliments on my paintings! I have skill with colors, but was missing technique. My art improved tremendously from just one video. Looking forward to your next one and to utilizing these new abilities. You are so generous to share these tutorials. Thank you kindly.
I used to be an art student since my early teens and I simply loved painting back then. Then one day my life changed to other interests. Thirty years on today I stumble on this video and the memories flooded back in from when my school teacher showed me on how to work with this. Your video just inspired me to pick up my paints and start over.:)
Ahuva you really use your talent and you think about it not just rush and not do clearly thank you so much your very talentes and wonderful artist!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!
Absolutely gorgeous paintings! I have just started out with acrylics and love to paint flowers, this is helping me greatly. I also love using the palette knives. Congratulations on such wonderful paintings.
Wow! This woman paints BEAUTIFULLY and has a charming personality to go along with it. I wish there were more women out there like her. Thank you so much for your video!
One of the best painting tutorial videos I've seen. It takes real skill and ability to create something using a few colours and make it look so easy in doing so.
+QuirkySassy yes she good artist, invite people to c3 Red Roses , La Differance people can see my art my own Original style La Differance come see my channel and my FB link go to Sart Differance
Thank you so much for posting this video-- it's the first time someone was able to explain painting with a palette knife in a way I could understand and helped me create my first "not terrible" palette knife paining (though still a long way to go before reaching your level!). So thank you so much!
i enjoyed the painting session with you.thanks..:) From how you presented the painting lesson I suppose you are a teacher 'coz your instructions are quite precise! Congratulations. I was painting along with you but it took me a while to learn how to paint the petals, but it was fun and enjoyable !More power!
Oh, it's so incredibly beautiful the way you add life to your roses.I admire the ease and the simplicity with which you aply your tecnique. thank you, Ahuva.
I love your way of explaining and all your paintings are amazing . U explain everything very clearly and in detail. Thanks for sharing your work👍 m so inspired by you n m gonna paint this one for sure.

I grew up watching my Daddy paint like this. And this was 4O yrs ago. I think he was the first coz I've never seen anyone else do it this way til now. My Dad was one amazing artist. He's painted for presidents and famous ppl. He died of brain tumor at 53 and all his art work was stolen.
Mick Gordon When the tools have been around for hundreds of years, this technique is not unique to Elisabeths father - she seems to be under the impression he must have invented it if she hasn't seen it elsewhere.

This is another exercise where acrylic painters miss out on achieving a decent end result. For me the use of acrylics, even with an impasto gel, did not hold its form like an oil paint would. I actually wasted my materials on this one although I've learnt from the experience. Ahuva is NOT to blame for this as she didn't advocate using acrylics; iI thought that I'd give it a go. I've decided that ANY replication of work where a palette knife is involved is rather fruitless in the acrylic medium. I might add that I live in Australia and the ferocious heat doesn't aid in keeping any paint solid/firm for too long.
I can't help but admit that I am immensely impressed and inspired not just with your work but also the interest and passion that you seem to have inculcated. I would love to appreciate the patience and perseverance with which you seem to be working. Good luck with your future endeavours.
Thanks, can you tell me how I can see it ? A link perhaps? I love your technique, it's so simple and beautiful, at the same time. Einstein said: If you cannot explain it simply, you don't understand it. You explain it very very well and very simply that all of us can grasp it. And you certainly understand well how to paint with a knife! THAN YOU
I always enjoy palette knife videos, I actually watched your video when you did red and black roses. I agree that you make it seem so simple however maybe I got lucky the 1st time watching I find a palette knife much easier to form a perfect rose. I have been drawing and painting all my life as for roses its the only flower that I cannot draw without looking at the flower but easy to create with a knife, horses and sunsets look very nice on canvass ..Thank You so much for sharing your videos.
Very clear step by step instructional video. From the tools; color of paints and mediums, up to the application on how to use the palette knife. I wish this is how everybody teaches. You will learn for sure. Thank you very much for sharing Ahuva.
Thank you, Ma’am! I appreciate your wonderful tutorial. Your beautiful rose painting technique inspires me to paint which has always been a dream I’ve long had but never explored. 💟💜💟
I love how you use pages of newsprint & telephone book pages to wipe your knife -- because ** I do too! ** Thank you so much for generously sharing your expertise, Ahuva!
i am going to using pallet knives for my GCSE art coursework and this video put my at ease since i thought id mess up by using a knife on my artwork .thank you so much x
I used a wide, starched brush. I starched it myself. The starch made it stiffer, so it achieved a similar effect. Thanks for the tutorial! You are an amazing artist!
I watched this tutorial and was inspired to have a go.I only had a pizza box and some acrylics to hand but this was my very first attempt at using a painting knife, which I done last night. Its a bit rough but I kinda like it.Thank you Ahuva, for creating such an inspirational tutorial.
I took lessons from her when I was 16 years old. I am glad to see she is still teaching others. She is a very sweet, and patient teacher.

very sad :(
Sorry to say, but I can assure you, using palette knives and techniques have been around for as early as the 1800's.
Even before but we talk about Elisabeth`s father and the technique not the palette knives and who used them first in history peace :)

Late comment but.....you have to use HEAVY BODY acrylic not an acrylic with a gel.
