Vermont has 2 Amtrak trains: Vermonter [East side] and Ethan Allen [west side] In the fall, the west side has probably best scenic ride in eastern USA: 100+ miles along the Hudson River, most only about 10 feet from the water's edge, NYC to Albany.
@@LetNewAdventuresBegin Yes, the sounds of my childhood. I'm turning 64 but my dad was a Boston & Maine employee for 36 years. For 8 of those they provided a crew for Amtrak between Springfield, MA and White River Junction, VT. Rode many times in childhood and always went with him to the freight yard to get his paycheck. Those sounds, the sway, is a sensory hug.
no rental cars at Brattleboro- that is a small town, but easy enough to walk. We will get a car at the next stop in Burlington so we can explore more. Thanks for watching!!
Brattleboro is a great town, very earthy/crunchy(in a great way), tons of shops all along rt5 and side streets, many great small restaurants and a huge thrift shop. Great for hiking around. Convenient. Wear comfy shoes as its built on a hill. Very worth it.

For shorter trips (a few hundred miles), I love taking Amtrak! TONS of legroom, comfy seats and big windows for looking at the views!
its a great & very comfortable option for some trips!
I like traveling by train
it was really enjoyable- especially compared to flying!
Have U taken the Amtrak Downeaster to Maine
Yes, a train trip would be awesome. Was there a the clickety clack of the rails?🙂
I like the sounds of the train- there is something nostalgic about it 😊

Train trip sounds good! Did they have renta cars at the station? I'm assuming no, because you didn't have one? Thanks for your video!
