    This movie was simply perfect and without Waylon it simply wouldn’t have the heart it needed. I’m glad they switched it to be focused on Evelyn as it was just truly perfect all around. • @shuya8904
      @shuya8904 Год назад +3

      what are you talking about? it has nothing to do with budget. look at jackie’s early movies with hollywood post-rush hours. those are cheap production and he still did it. and stallone has asked jackie to join expendables multiple times and every single time he turned them down. jackie chan is picky, yes, but it’s more about the script if you really know jackie chan.

    • @machdude3366
      @machdude3366 Год назад +4

      @@shuya8904 Eh. Script quality was never in consideration; Jackie Chan makes Jackie Chan movies and those are... variable in terms of what movies get made. Jackie Chan has role hangups and this probably didn't jive with the character he has built. One of the main themes of this film is LGBT relationships and while it is speculation, he is NOT a supporter of it given his relationship with daughter.

    Jet Li already did a bigger action version of that film 20 years ago which is probably why he turned it down as he didn’t want to get roasted for copying Li for doing a similar story on a much smaller budget. Don’t get me wrong The Daniels did a great job with this but it wasn’t nearly as original as many seem to think it was and it’s low budget did show. Fun story but kind of out there for all the awards it pulled.

    She is not deserving for an oscar award her peers was better than her acting too bad the oscar is bias. She is a Malaysian actress. Credited as Michelle Khan in her early films in Hong Kong, she rose to fame in the 1990s after starring in a series of Hong Kong action films. This alias was chosen by D&B Films, who thought it might be more marketable to international and western audiences. She changed her stage name back to Michelle Yeoh when she started her Hollywood career with Tomorrow Never Dies in 1997.
