I subscribed because as a leftie there's just not enough left-focused information out there. You're doing a great job from what I've seen so far! You also made me realize that my lifelong love of fine-tipped pens is because they don't smear as easily. I just never thought about the simple reason why I guess. I've never used a fountain pen, and in fact the only one I can ever remember even holding was my paternal grandfather's when I was a kid in the '70's. He carried one simply because in his younger days there were no ball-points, so a fountain pen wasn't a...fancy?...thing to use. It was just normal lol. I'm 54 and my life has been very tech-oriented. From model rocketry as a child to building PC's in adulthood, auto mechanics and gaming, I enjoy tech. But I'm seeking a more peaceful mental state, so I'm moving to analog as much as is efficiently feasible. Once I've got the bones of new methods and routines sorted, I believe I'll move into fountain pen use, as up front I can see that it takes more care and maintenance than simple ball-point usage. Thank you for putting your interests out there.
@@k.b.tidwell thank you so much for the kind words and sharing your story. it’s nice to know that my interests and the things i say resonate with others. being surrounded by tech, staying analog in certain aspects of life has really helped my mental health. whatever tools we use, the most important thing is they meet our current needs. i hope you find the system that works best for you!
This is the second leftie channel I've encountered (after Stephen Inks). I'm a leftie too, and I love writing and sketching with fountain pens!!! I started with a Jinhao 35, and that was enough to get into the rabbit hole of fountain pens and inks!!
Hi … I’m an analogue rightie writey ☺️ love your vibe and have subbed aboard for the ride 🙌🏻 love my kakuno EF and Lamy safari EF fountain pens … and all the others 🤣
Lovely to see a fellow lefty in the beginning of this amazing hobby. Been into fountain pens for quite some time so would love to chip in wherever I can.
Hi, my fellow analog leftie!!! Happy to make your acquaintance! I'm glad to have discovered you, and I'm looking forward to seeing what new things you make me discover. My go to is a Lamy Saphary fountain pen with a 0.7mm nib for lefties. It's my great, great love of life... and my companion for over 15 years. Let's see if you can get me to lean towards something new! I'm open to finding out how you get on with this. But I don't write in cursive, but rather all capital letters, which is a different experience with pens. My thing is mind maps and all I need from a pen is that it can slide to make arrows, textures, and shapes.
hello and welcome! 15 years with lamy safari is amazing! it’s so cool when something just clicks and stays with us for the long term. i’ve only been using mine since february this year and it’s been serving me well. i don’t usually write in cursive either but sometimes i like to switch things up. thank you for watching and subscribing! 😊
I have the Lamy All-Star and find it works quite well left-handed. The most important factor for me is the ink and the paper. I've had Pilots break on me in the past and thus I've preferred Lamy ever since. But, with this price point and the neat refill mechanism, I may change my mind! Would love to see more analog gear oriented towards left handers.
agreed! i’m also learning from research that pen, paper, and ink all play a role for a successful fountain pen experience. it’s always exciting to find left-handed friendly tools in a right-handed world 😊
what was your first fountain pen? would you recommend it to newbies knowing what you know now? 😊
Mine was a preppy. Nice to meet you
@ i’ve heard great things about the platinum preppy as a starter pen. thank you for watching! 😊

@@carolinecamilleri5650 thank you for the support! 😊 it seems once you get a fountain pen, it never stops at just one 😆
I don't usually think of mechanical design from the perspective of left handed people. I'm really excited to see more from your channel!
thank you for watching! hoping to put out more videos soon 😊
