Every time I do heatless curls, I take a comb and zigzag down the back. It helps the back blend a bit better in the end. Love the outcome though. So pretty!
One of my favorite memories from childhood is sitting with my dad in his recliner at night and he’d braid my hair so I could have curls/waves like this the next day. ♥️ I’m starting that tradition with my daughter this week because she wants curlier hair. Thanks for posting this tutorial! 🌸
This is a late reply but I wanted to let you know your comments was very touching to me. My Dad use to help me blowdry my hair and do ponytails/buns. (He didn't have the dexterity for braid.)
I tried this last night and this morning's result was amazing. I really like how comfortable it was to sleep in them because I didn't actually lay on the braids, unlike French or Dutch braids. My husband even gave me an extra "hey there" when he saw the final result. 😉
I have done 3 braids per side for years, and I can't wait to try this method! One thing I do is use a medium foam curler instead of a hair tie for curly ends.
I came out wearing these braids to bed, my bf took one look at me and said: “I love you with all my heart, I think you’re absolutely beautiful, but that is the most unattractive hairstyle I’ve ever seen you in”. We both broke down laughing and I ended up tying the braids together. Now I look like Princess Leia
Haha,I was thinking about the same thing..like… I’m not sure if I want to look ridicilous while laying in bed next to my man. This overnight hairstyle is really good but it’s not sexy😅 also u can’t really do “things” with these
This is life changing. I was going to a cheap salon to have them French braid my hair because I couldn’t do it myself. I’m so pumped to be able to do this
I love your hairstyle videos, you're the only person who fully explains and shows how to do each hairstyle easily. This looks amazing, I can't wait to try them and hope they work well! Also, please do a heatless curls series and keep making more videos like this :)
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE TYPES OF CURLS 😍😍 I was looking for a way to get my hair to look like the 80s crimpy wavy type of hair look and ran across your video and this is EXACTLY what I want to achieve and oh my god without heat too? THANK YOU 😫🥰 cant wait to try it!!
I do overnight Dutch braid waves a lot but my hair is long enough that I have to wear a sleeping bonnet or I sleep on them, which can be rough on my hair. I feel like these would stay up over the top of my pillow and stay out of my way. Great idea - thank you!
Hi again! I felt back to the 70’s when I went to school. I had v long hair and I made at least 6 braids over night. I didn’t comb my hair when I opened the braids the ‘curls’ were more ‘soft’. I think Hollywood waves look nicer the hair looks more healthy. Keep well! Cheers f 🇨🇭
I've never been able to learn how to French braid so I really hope this works! Just put these in and I sectioned my hair off 4 ways so down the middle then from side to side just behind my ears cause I want more curls and it killed my arms cause I have really thick long hair but I got all 4 braided. I'll check back in tomorrow morning to let you know if it worked! Update: This worked way better than I thought it would but here are a few things I'd recommend if your hair is like mine: - I did 4 but I will definitely be doing like 6 to 8 next time I try this. - I wish I had added some sort of holding product while they were still damp and then maybe even more while they were all braided and done because I get really frizzy hair especially my front hair/bang area hair and those curls fell pretty easily by the end of the day even though I added hair spray and coconut oil which is fine so you can shower again anyways. - Another reason I recommend doing more braids is so it's easier to get that top hair curly. I tried doing it just like she did but the very top was still sort of flat. So if you think you're braiding as high up as you can with this method trust me you can get closer to the base of your hair if you split that hair section into 2 braids. - Lastly I forget if she mentions this but don't part your top hair the way you normally do while braiding them. For instance if you normally do a side part with your hair down then part it in the middle to braid them so once it's out you can flip it and the transition will look way smoother and vise versa. Anyways loved this tutorial it was very helpful. I hope my experience helps someone out! 👍😁👍
This does look comfy to sleep in, super important for my ridiculously sensitive scalp, and I can’t wait to try it! Thanks so much for these videos! I may also try flipping my head over and doing one top braid and one bottom braid to see how that turns out.
Personally I do 4 braids, sometimes 5 ..but 4 is perfect, I put 3 on the front(top hair) upside down, and the last one regular braid, that is on the back, sometimes 2 regular braids in the back. This is useful if you have bangs-fringe.
Aww your child is just such a sweetheart 😘🧁... enjoying all of your vids so far and definitely learning the hacks, didn't know how to rope braid now I do thanks so much to you👍😘
Never thought of this! Wow! Since I seen your video when you showed us your hair washing routine and you said you put it in a loose bun at night, I've been doing that instead of braiding it, and it gives me the most beautiful curls ever! Better then a curling iron. I put it up in a Barrett and it looks awesome! But I love this too. I'm gonna try this! It's so cute! OMG! Your boys are adorable! I could hear them calling for you 😁 too funny!
Im going to try this on my wavy haired daughter tonight. After washing, I usually do two pigtail braids down the back for her to sleep in, but she always complains about discomfort and tries to take them out in the middle of the night. Her hair is almost down to her butt, too.
Thank you for these videos I have tried some of the up dos and love them. I need to learn how to french braid my own hair still haven't figured it out yet. But won't give up.
Thank you so much for this trick! It’s been so helpful since I’ve been so done curling my hair everyday for work! 😅 I love that the braids aren’t on the side of my head so it’s easier to sleep in too! 🙏 Thanks again! 💕
I have done just a single braid in the past, but I like the two-braid results you've illustrated here. Gonna def try it tonight. Also...cute baby kissing the camera. Very sweet!
I love these curls and this technique! I’m doing it almost after every time I wash my hair, I’m obsessed 🙊 my hair is very smooth and straight so the curls almost disappear after one day even with spray and foam😵💫 but maybe I just haven’t found the right product!
I have the braids in right now and I’m really excited to see what they look like tomorrow! By the way I love ❤️ your videos- you seem like such a sweet and kind person! A late congrats on the 2k subscribers! 🥳
they turned out great! I was complimented so many times 😊 by the way i’ve done the robe curls too and i like both styles- just depends what kind of curls i want
I've got pretty wavy hair, but more on the right side than the left, so I'm going to try this to see if it evens it out! Also, I tend to get frizzies after sleeping and have to spray and scrunch, so hoping this might stop that issue too! LOVING this series!
For the curly and wavy haired girls this technique sadly doesn't work as well. 😂 I tried it recently, the mid way and ends had a nice wave while the root area was trying to curl and got frizzy. It was really comfortable to sleep in though! So it made my list of sleep styles.
I tried this last night and my hair turned out huge and puffy lol idk why but it didn’t really give a whole lot of curl unfortunately. I’d love to see you try Flexi rods!
I sleep in my French (odd dates) or Dutch (even dates) braids every night to prevent tangles in my hair and have for about as long as I have been able to do both braids.
Awe Thank you! My hair is so nappy I’m going to stick with this style for a while. And You’re hair is so beautiful! Sweet boy!!! I heard his little feet coming your way.❤️
Hi tnx mam for such a helpful video but I want to ask one thing tht I dont have tht cream which u applied before curling ..suggest me something which I can get in india for these type of curlings
Hair serum or oil for the ENDS on ALL heatless curl methods...prevents frizzy hair. Makes it easier to run fingers through to spread the hair out for fuller hair.... dont use water....
I’ve tried this twice and my hair was frizzy both times :( the first time I used mousse and the second time I used sea salt spray. Does anyone have tips?
I am going to try these on my daughter tonight and see how they are tomorrow and I will update my post. I think they are cute and will great for Easy quick curls.
@@LaineyMarieBeauty I put my daughters hair in the braids last night and made 3 braids instead of 2 and her hair came out wavy and with lots of volume. I am going to try it again with her hair not so clean. I added some curl cream and dampened her hair like you mentioned but her hair was still too clean to take a curl, no worries this always happens to her hair.😉I do like that her whole head was covered in waves vs the bottom like a normal braid.😀👍🏻. This is a successful heatless curl/wave tutorial.😃
Thanks for asking! Still blurry but I can tell it’s gotten back! Slowly but surely. It’s been 13 days since my surgery. I heard it can take a month or so. So crossing my fingers!

I do a chunkier zig zag, but yes! Definitely give it a try!
I’m definitely trying this! Thanks for the suggestion!💕
Do you apply hair oil before or after you braid ?
I just genuinely do a rough part and it does the same lol
