Rent because 1)Not all of us want/plan to stay in Indy forever, so why make commitments to a place you hope to leave soon? 2)Not all of us can afford to own and all the responsiblity that come with Owning a condo or a house, let's call a spade a spade; owning is no joke. 3)Some people want the thrill of living downtown just for a little bit then move to the surbs afterwards.
So I live in Indianapolis and am not planning on moving since I have a ton of space…live near the fashion mall and another mall and rent is under 800. Not trying to move into a more “luxury” space for less space and more money.
One thing about American houses, you will get spaceeeeeee. That closet space you’re complaining about is almost the size of my studio 😂😩😩😩😩 apartment hunting is sooooo stressful!!! But I agree it can be fun.

I moved to Indy from NYC. It was such a great move. I purchased a beautiful condo on the NW side of town. Why rent when you can own?
