I also think a lot of churches are fluff with no spiritual meat being taught, but just watered down milk posing as spiritual meat. Those who attend fluff churches spiritual meat might come off offense hence the ruffled feathers. Faith you put in a lot of thought into your past vlog.

💯 agree. It makes me sad that you had to make this video to clarify something that didn’t need to be clarified. It would have been much more appropriate for the other content creator to approach you one on one instead of making a video that further divides believers. This was such a lost opportunity to show others how to resolve misunderstandings. Someone chose not to see your heart, but God uses all things for good, and here you are giving others the opportunity to see how graceful, loving, kind and God honoring you are. I was actually a very disappointed on the video RESPONDING to your original video because it painted you in an extremely bad (and very untrue) light. Criticism is good. Paul publicly criticized Peter in in the Bible. Everyone has the right to speak their own opinions on their own channel . It wasn’t “villainous”. It was helpful criticism that is edifying. That’s the whole idea of speaking the “truth in love”. I wish we as believers would stop jumping to conclusions based on people’s hearts or intentions because we *can’t* see that only God can. I’m sorry this conflict was even an issue as you were in support of what she was doing. You’re not the one that deserved to apologize. God bless both parties involved.

How much more will everyone not love us or will resonate, understand, agree, our message? If something I’ve done causes someone to reject my work, I become more deeply able to tearfully understand His horrendous rejection by the very people he DIED for. This is a fact, that once you wrap your heart around it, you will be set free. I try to lump the ugly comments in with the beautiful praise. I saw the video you're referencing, and I didn't hear anything that seemed ill-intentioned or judgmental... just a sister with some ideas that I thought were important. I love that you responded to those who heard something different from what you intended. Sensitivity is JESUS through and through. It's NORMAL to have people misinterpret our hearts. I love something you said in this video so much that I'm worrying it down, taking it away with me, and maybe just ironing it out with a touch b of grace for oneself: you said that you were misunderstood by many, and that means you did something "wrong." This is what I'm writing down for myself: "When my intentions are misinterpreted, I will look without condemning myself for how I may have caused it. Whatever I find in my own delivery that might have been part of it, I will acknowledge to God, myself, and those who were offended, and be aware of it moving forward." You didn't DO something wrong. You spoke with good intentions, and it simply landed wrong with some. I SEE you embracing accountability, valuing your platforn, and loving the people who value your ministry. Oh, wow. You didn't do anything wrong. Your approach to scripture is a breath of fresh air. I love how you live the scripture and dig deep into its meaning, walking with the Lord to find understanding. There will be misunderstandings on this journey when others will think you meant something that you didn't mean or say. It sadly happens even among those who are devout and passionate about coming closer to the Lord. Just breathe deeply and know that God has you in His arms and He has them, and all will be well.
I agree with you, Janet. Faith is one of the very few Christian influencers who teaches not only the importance of the context of scripture, but teaches HOW to understand the context (verse mapping, in-depth Bible studies, etc). She goes above and beyond to teach and inspire a love of actually studying the Bible. And she is REAL. She bears all of the fruits of the spirit - love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. I wish there were more authentic Bible study influencers available to us on youtube, because I feel like she bears the load of all who have run from the call of God to do exactly what she is doing. I wish I were qualified to teach as well as she does.
She can share her opinion on any topic that she sees fit, what if it doesn't seem convenient in my opinion is to use parts of another content creator's video and "build" based on an image that the other person created. Building in love is what should be done and the previous video that was uploaded could have been done without the need to "include" the other sister in faith.
I saw your video Friday and honestly found it as a relief. I don’t have time for extra crafts or another Bible project and for me it was a relief to see your prayer journal because I do something similar. But most times I end up talking to God while I’m commuting to work like his sitting beside me. And he is. I do a Bible study with you on replay and a Bible study with my group at church. I find myself feeling inadequate when I see women doing crafty journaling and artsy Bibles. When I found your channel, it was such a relief…cuz I work full time, commute and have other responsibilities that require time. And honestly…I’m not crafty. Give me a pitchfork and I will talk to God while I clean stalls. Each of you women bring something else to the table we can choose to use or scroll by. It’s so sad you felt the need to apologize….or back down off something you felt and something that I personally helped me feel okay about not trying. Lots of love
I think the point of the prayer Bible is not STUDY. Rather being able to quickly jump to a prayer. So for me, context is very important if I’m doing a Bible STUDY, and I deep dive using reference verses and my Strong’s Concordance to fully understand all the many definitions of words-every word matters, and you must have eyes to see and ears to hear the different spiritual levels of a verse. HOWEVER, I believe that prayer is powerful and meaningful with out the context. I believe God listens to us and knows our hearts. The Bible is the Living word of God. And anything living, grows and expands and changes over time. And if it’s a LIVING word, then on one level the context changes to fit today. I do not believe that a prayer is any less effective without context of the original verse. I think the crafty part is for crafty /creative people , but the the gist of prayer bibles could be for anyone. I’ve taken the idea, changed it some to fit ME, and now have specific bibles for specific people with topics to pray for them- a Bible for myself, my grands, the women in the family, the men in the family, and my best friend who is going through some life challenges. I keep my study bible separate for Bible study. I’m a very creative girl lol so I do tab and decorate each one, but not my study Bible. And sweet girl, I think your apology is unnecessary. Everybody has their opinion, ideas, and things that work best for them. You put out wonderful and meaningful content that helps so many people. I could only make it through the first 5 minutes of this video - please stop!! I watched Friday's video and do not think you did anything wrong at all and were not "judgy", which is such a buzz word. We are not to hypocritically judge, which you did not do at all. You did express good discernment, and appropriate wisdom. Without piling onto you, what I see in this video is you being insecure and fearing man! Please don't be a people pleaser, trust in the the Lord and let the Holy Spirit deal with immature believers who can't accept discerning wisdom from a more mature sister in the Lord. I get why you are but hands down you are the only one I watch because personally I feel you never act like you are perfect, you make mistakes, you don't judge any of us... I went down wrong path for over 20 yrs... My life turned around and changed 9 months ago. And 9 months ago my sister sent me your videos. Because you are raw and real and an honest servant of our Lord. It never crossed my mind that you were being offensive at all and I appreciated your input on the prayer bibles as I am working on one for myself because I agree that we need to always consider the context but I also believe a new believer praying scripture out of context is just as powerful. I don’t know if you’ll read this but you don’t owe any apology- what came across as always was your passion for communicating with God and your passion for him and helping others learn to have the same depth of love and passion that you do for our lord and scripture. A good portion of the Christian community doesn't like kind guidance/being told to be discerning. I think sometimes something like a prayer Bible can become a sacred cow. I think your past vlog was excellent and so important.

This! I’m always worried about articulating myself in my videos! I’m always asking the advice of my husband! Literally it made me question why would God want me to create a channel in the first place but I’m encouraged and reminded that people need to see real people! It’s hard being a content creator. I personally think Sisterita club was talking about Crazy Simple Truth Ministries, not you. Thanks for your honesty and transparency, and your service to this ministry. Bottom line, context is important, and you did a good job reminding us of that.
I don't think Jessica was speaking of Faith either. Social media is tricky, because anybody can become a perceived authority. And when it comes to someone's spiritual walk, we know how badly that can turn out. What criticism that normally would be discussed person to person as scripture directs is blasted out to billions of people and can be totally misconstrued.
I am so sad that someone may think that I am criticizing or critiquing prayer Bibles. I actually love them!! But I do have a personal struggle with context. It is personal. And I’ve mentioned that in several videos. If my Prayer Bible videos are watched in order by date, I think it my “Prayer Bible Dangers” video would make a lot more sense. If I have offended anyone, please know that was never ever my intention. 😢

Why are people getting so upset because a few women with a heart for God and utmost respect for the holy Scriptures want believers to remain true to said Scriptures? Nicki doesn't just teach verse mapping and her ministry has been a great blessing to many, many sisters, far beyond the verse mapping process.
Context is important in verse mapping too. Context is always something to be aware of. That’s why praying the scriptures needs to go hand in hand with exegetical study. That’s where Faith and I both are coming from. Praying scripture is great. But rightly dividing the Word is at the same time essential.

I hear so much scripture taken out of context! (not here on your channel, but out here in the world!) I appreciate that you made your video! The video you made was sincere and was, no doubt, made with the prompting of the Holy Spirit. No need to apologize for that! You are a kind, well-versed (see what I did there!), mature Christian that puts Jesus above about anything else. Oh, I know you’re not perfect; as none of us are. In this instance, I just pray that our Heavenly Father would give you peace and comfort about this situation. You gave credit where it was due and taught as inspired by the Spirit. Case closed. Sad because prayer Bibles revitalized my prayer life and I thought I might need to give it up so as not to risk error. I’m not a Bible scholar and I don’t know about context and history. I've been glancing through a lot of these responses and yours is the one I agree w/most thus far. We're not all scholars. We don't all have seminary and/or theological and other extensive biblical background and training and knowledge. Most of us just find or fall upon some RUclips channel that catches our attention and that we like and we feel we can relate with or that makes us feel comfortable and we "subscribe." But let us not forget, we are sisters in Christ, not sisters of or for or in Jessica or Faith or one of other thousands. To offend is a sin. To be offended is also a sin. (I Googled that). Most of us are sheep (me), listening for our Shepherd's voice and trying hard to follow Him. Trying hard to grow in love, faith, hope, charity, His Word, His Way. What us sheep have is an interest, a desire, a true ❤ to be closer to God and his Word. We're trying hard to follow Him like all those who followed Him in the bible. Have you ever thought how beautiful it would be if we could sit down on the grass on a softly clouded day, or under a large shading tree, or on the shore of soft ripples and just be one of them and just Listen to His soft spoken word and all his parables? That thought, wow! Anyway, how we get there doesn't matter. HE knows our ❤. Any way we come to Him, with or without a "nerd" bible, with or without a "prayer" bible, I'm sure makes 0 difference to Him. All He wants is for us to come. Like I posted as my personal response... Grace and dishonor come from speaking and a man's tongue is his downfall. Sirach 5:13. Stay blessed sweet sister in CHRIST. 🙏🙏
If you’re scared of using your prayer Bible in the wrong way, then I think that already means you are coming from the right place. Our understanding of the Bible will probably continue to evolve throughout our lives, and I think the same could even apply to scholars. Don’t be too hard on yourself as long as you are using the prayer Bible to deepen your relationship with God.
Search your heart always. There are times in our lives that we can intentionally and unintentionally offend someone. We need to keep scripture in it’s context. You will find spiritual gold in doing so. Your prayers will have much more depth when you take a scripture and pray over it for yourself or someone else. Me personally, I don’t want to scrapbook a prayer bible. I serve in our altar ministry and when I need a scripture I don’t want to be distracted nor do I want the person whom I’m praying with to be distracted by a scrapbook prayer bible, but that’s just my approach. Satan will always try to derail us in our spiritual journey. This video shows your love for the Lord and your humbleness to your followers. 🙏😘

I went back and watched your previous video. I think you're being played by the enemy. When people are passionate about anything, they, (we), want everyone else to feel the same way. You just said check your heart in all this and be sure you're honoring the Lord and the Word...great advice no matter what, study, prayer, etc. Keep up the good work!
Ok. So I went back and re-watched the original video from Friday. It was exactly as I took your message then. I enjoyed the video both times and felt the Lord teaching through you. I cannot ever tell you the difference you’ve made in my Bible studying. I’m learning so much! I had never done anything more than reading. But you and that ESV interleaved Bible have changed my life! I have no color code… I mark whatever I feel in my heart that I should and in any color I choose. I search my commentary and if necessary, my brand new Bible dictionary! I make notes any and everywhere I want. I feel so emboldened learning more than I ever knew…and I grew up in a parsonage and have been serving the Lord since before I can really remember. My mom told me of when I gave my heart to Jesus. Anyway…your apology video was not necessary-except because you felt that you were led to do it. You are much loved and appreciated, Faith!
I've seen her video, and your from Friday. When I watched her response, I actually wondered if she had really watched yours, because the things she was accusing you of I didn't see. I thought she actually should've reached out to you personally behind the scenes and didn't handle it with much grace. You're sisters in Christ, and there should be enough room for humanity along with grace and trying to come to an understanding. You are being so gracious to her, and I hope she responds in kind. I also felt the same. The sisterita video seemed rushed and aggressive, and honestly, I unsubscribed. It didn't settle well with my soul. I love the prayer bible concept, and I hope she pray she finds in her heart to have grace and forgiveness for any offense she felt. As a new Christian, the back and forth videos get discouraging. I'm praying for the issue to ve settled in peace and love soon.
When I saw sisterita's video, I didn't think she was referring to Faith. I've seen prayer bible criticism videos that annoyed me bcuz I thought they were mean spirited. Faith's video wasn't like that at all. She shouted her out.

I saw your video about "prayer bibles" and took your input with a grain of salt because I could see your zeal and passion for the word come through. I thought it odd that you would critique "prayer bibles" while you have not done so for "bible gardens" "prayer binders" "bible art" or "bible journaling" and specifically because you have not done a "prayer bible" for yourself. we are all in different seasons of our lives and are led in different ways, but our God is one! Wether is is a fad or not it is a tool that is strengthening the body of Christ and we should be careful not to be a stumbling block for another's walk of faith. You definitely did not have to apologize you are absolutely correct! The main issue since Christianity has been “modernized” is people taking scripture out of context because they don’t want truth. People don’t want to repent and live a holy life. They want the promises of God and live in sin. “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” John 3:19 KJV As believers we need correction from other believers especially if your giving biblical correction. There is no way to make it sound cute or fluffy. Just give it straight like it is and if they get upset they are not upset with you they are upset with the word of God. This has happened to me a lot as well since I’ve been a believer and I’ve lost many people I thought we’re friends because of it. Don’t ever apologize for speaking truth. Be bold in the truth and in Jesus! Continue to share the word and praise God for the persecution! 🙏🏾 that means you are doing something right! I’ve had to ask my husband the same thing you asked yours because someone got upset with me for correcting them because they were taking scripture out of context and he said I did nothing wrong and neither did you. Truth is truth and theology is VERY important! CONTEXT IS VERY IMPORTANT! Keep doing what you are doing and delete this apology video 🙏🏾♥️

I feel sad that you felt the need for this video. I thought your comments about keeping things in context was correct and important. I have a Bible that was printed as a praying through the scriptures Bible. In it I have found verses that are prophesies about Jesus mistakenly applied as a prayer one should pray over their own situation in life. So yes, context is important and not too hard to discern if I just read the surrounding verses or the whole chapter. I appreciate your efforts in this video to appease the offended. I hope we all have the grace to know that none of us are perfect and most of us have best intentions at heart. God bless you all fellow believers.

I watched your video 2 times (the one about prayer Bibles) and I don't think you have anything to apologize for. The points you made were totally spot on with wisdom that we all needed to hear. I'm in the process of creating a prayer Bible (a little different than the Sisterita version), and for every verse or passage I am highlighting as one that can be prayed directly from the text itself, I AM looking at the context so that I DON'T pray it as it was never intended. But I've been doing this for a long time where many have not. Also, I've studied Scripture pretty thoroughly where some others have not. And some don't want to do the harder work of study but rely instead on the verses others are using. In and of itself, while maybe not the best approach (an easier one, yes), it IS a starting point for many, and hopefully a launch pad for greater growth down the road. But Faith, please don't compromise what you believe in your heart. You haven't messed up at all, and you can't control how some may interpret or misunderstand you but your concern for them is admirable. This prayer Bible movement is a fad...which has beautifully caught on and hopefully will continue and progress from a fad to something that will stick for the long haul and have a powerfully lasting impact. Everyone is at different places in their faith walk AND their prayer practice. Sustaining a practice of prayer is hard, even when praying Scripture. There will be disappointments when prayers seem to go unanswered, or God seems silent. Some people sadly will fizzle out in using their prayer Bible...it's the nature of the beast. But for many, using their Prayer Bible will become a lasting tool to draw close to the Lord in prayer. And for that let's praise God.

I can’t think of a better prayer than The Lord’s Prayer! Jesus sums up everything I could want or need in that little bit of text…so I always tend to lean back on that over and over again.

I thought it was a good idea. This is a wonderful thing to make as gifts for women in homeless shelters, new to the faith, or people that don't know the LORD. Especially with everthing going on in the world today. Then I seen your vidoe and was a little discouraged. I see your prospective, however some people dont know how to study the bible. Some people don't understand the context behind the Words. Sometimes we just need a word from the LORD. Some people are just barley hanging on. We are to bring the GOOD NEWS to them and let the Holy Spirit do the rest. He is the teacher. I believe you were coming from a good place. I love watching your vidoes, and will continue too.
There are men as well as women in shelters who would love to have and benefit from having their own Bible. Marking some prayers and promises is a great idea, too. They need hope and encouragement just like we do.

I started a Prayer Bible but decided to use my own scripture list because of the very reason you stated, not to take scriptures out of context. It was an excellent point. Creating my own list also allowed me to see God even more in scriptures. It was refreshing to find other Bible stories and themes that I previously missed. I appreciate this video, but I 100% agree with your suggestions. Thank you for your heart for God's word and his people.
Faith, it was very humble and gracious of you to make this video. I watched the first one and did not pick up on anything negative or hurtful - and I have a dedicated prayer Bible (encouraged by a Nicki Drake video - she writes out her prayers in the Bible, by the relevant Bible verse). And, I also have a prayer journal. Different things for different seasons/needs. I understand that doesn’t mean others didn’t, for whatever reason, and I’m sorry it’s made you feel badly. I appreciate your apology, to be fair I'm not sure if it is necessary as I did not watch Friday's video. But, I actually committed tonight to creating one after recently finding the Sisterita Club's series. I'm excited because I have not yet been able to build a consistent prayer life. I just bought all of my supplies they will be here Wednesday! I pray it will help me draw closer to God through a consistent prayer life.

❤ I loved your other video. I tried to do the prayer Bible and it was so not for me. I know sometimes that causes people to feel like there is something wrong with them if something that works for all these people doesn’t work for them. I don’t think you did anything wrong. Sometimes we get really sensitive about what we are doing. Sometimes I wonder if it’s us fighting the Holy Spirit because we want things to fit what WE want to do. i totally got the gist of the first video about Prayer Bibles. I didn't think that you were discouraging people from creating one, the message to me was that not to take it out of context because i also thought about this, what if i highlight some passage and apply it to my prayers and it is actually a different context? For example, one of the most misused verses in the Bible... Jeremiah 29:11 context is key. it was directed to the people of Judah who were in Babylon because of their rebellion and were in exile. when the exile is completed, God will fulfill his promise to them. The point of Jeremiah isn't that God has a plan. It's that those who SEEK Him will be found by Him. God isn't saying you can do whatever you want, my plans will come through. God is saying SEEK ME, be FOUND by me, and i will redeem even the worst decisions of your life. I hope that when we create the Prayer Bible and use it for our prayers, that we are guided by the Holy SPirit and we understand the full context of the passage and how it can be applied to our Lives.

I understood your heart in the first video and thought it was spot on when it came to cautions of jumping on to the “fad” Nikki Drake also put out cautions when she was making her prayer bible, and I think that was the difference. When some viewers saw you not making one, the thought comes that “oh there must be something wrong since Faith isn’t making one and is giving these cautions” I knew that wasn’t the case, but I can’t totally see how people come to that impression. But context DOES matter and I would hate for you to walk that back fully, we don’t want to be praying Matthew 4:9 asking for prosperity, or provision 👀 context absolutely matters!
I didn’t take it like that at all. Truly it made me feel better that I made one a long time ago but didn’t know it was a thing. After watching your video I felt the same as you in not taking it out of context because I did have passages that I just marked because a list said it applied to something but when I would read it, it didn’t really make sense or apply, it only said “depression” in the passage. I feel like you were just giving the reason why you didn’t have a prayer bible. There are so many ways to make prayer vivid in our own lives and I think you were just remarking on that. I can appreciate you felt moved to apologize but sadly, it was your opinion and gave ways that you pray. We are all working on this together, hopefully everyone can be as forgiving as Jesus.
Dear Faith, I saw an early Prayer Bible video soon after it came out. I thought, “Yes! I have been wanting to pray personal prayers and use God’s own words within them, to focus my prayer in line with God’s will, to pray His promises and His word - b u t… I don’t remember the verses and words I would love to be praying. A prayer bible could be of great benefit! I’m excited to start one, using my own verses and categories. Then I saw your video on Friday. I couldn’t agree more with the message I heard you deliver about priorities and about context. I saw your words as a supplement to prayer Bible advocates , not an indictment or rejection of them. Later, I was left with a hollow, sad feeling when I saw how you had been misunderstood and your true feelings lost along the way. Then something amazing happened, you humbled yourself before God and before all of us with kindness, meekness and gentleness. You offered a heartfelt apology in the interest of reconciliation. “All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;” 2 Corinthians 5:18 ESV. Watching this video and praying we are all reconciled gave me a renewed sense of joy! Thank you Jesus, and thanking God for you Faith and for Jessica who first introduced me to the concept of a “Prayer Bible”. “Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, Sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” Proverbs 16:24 KJV B
My opinion here can be very limited because I never watched the video about the prayer Bibles, but I do have to say, as someone who is working on a prayer Bible currently, I think the single biggest concern with them is if you take a line or two that SOUNDS GOOD, but it's completely outside of its original context. We MUST pray scripture within appropriate context, and it would be extremely valid and appropriate if your original video stated that caution. ❤
I don’t think you said anything wrong however I did cring when she called it villianist…the real issue is people have perspectives and take things differently maybe she just was having a moment of thin skin and heard it as a personal attack rather than caution during the process

I watched you video on prayer Bibles and found it wonderfully informative and appropriately cautious. I was one who felt disappointed after watching your other video. I had been wondering if you would post anything about them as it blew up in the Bible journaling community. Then when I watched your video it came across that you really thought of it as a fad and didnt convey the powerful tool that it can be and is for many people. The overall vibe was not as enthusiastic as I was expecting for something that is very transformative for so many. This is my take away without going back to rewatch the video as well i will point out. I think many people could say some similar things about Bible journaling in general. So many content creators about journaling making certain content for the algorithm... You can read and study and still get the wrong context, etc. When I thought about it I tried to look at it from your perspective.. you being someone who is well versed in the Bible.. what it says.. having schooling about it.. already a strong prayer life.. etc. For someone like you perhaps you may have overlooked the value a Prayer Bible has in someone elses life who is struggling in these areas with their walk. I saw the valid criticism about context but thought it was a missed opportunity for encouragement for a movement that was inviting thousands of people into the Word who were seeking a deeper relationship with the Lord. Not something you should be condemned for, however, just an observation. I would actually really love if you DID create a Prayer Bible with verses you did feel were appropriate in context since you are so knowledgeable and respected. People are able to see the light in you and with good reason trust your wise counsel. I hate that you are feeling burdened by all this as it was clear to me, even being disappointed by the other video, that your intent was not to be ugly at all. The first Prayer Bible video by Jessica popped up on my feed at a time when I was praying for direction in my own prayer life. And I saw so many similar stories. I scowered the internet looking for more inspiration to create my own and at that time there was nothing. I watched as it blew up all over the internet in facebook groups and youtube. I thought wow! Look at all these people revamping their prayer life at the same time. Learning to pray with intention, creating a method to stay focused in their prayer life, get familiar with scripture, speak the Word over their life and the lives of others, creating space for those words to be written on their hearts, sharing the Word and the power of prayer with others, discovering Gods promises in all different areas of life, having confidence in their prayer life, and growing in their faith. People were asking what the Bible says about certain issues they were facing so they could turn to the Lord for answers. I wanted to share a little bit of my thoughts on how powerful this is for so many. I also dont think Jessicas video was soley in response to yours. I have watched many Prayer Bible videos and so many negative comments have been left. Im hoping my wording is not coming across in any way to make you feel even a tad bit negative. I didnt see your video as bad or wrong.. just not what I was expecting and did not make me think any differently about you or the movement. ❤
I think the only disclaimer I would add about prayer bibles is that when we grab a scripture out of context and believe that God made us that promises, only to not have our prayers answered will leave many heartbroken . And then blame God.. when in reality it was out ignorance of the Bible that did the disservice. Now Sisterita did mention God is big enough to help us understand yes. But it also just breaks my heart to see women waiting on specific promises God never made us. 😞 specially ladies who were going through health crisis. But I’m all for grabbing scripture and digging into the meaning and praying it. Even if it means praying fewer scriptures that we know are for us rather than a list over 100.
Your heart behind your video was in the right place and that matters so much. The tone and words we use definitely matter and can be misunderstood, but I always hope that folks hear my heart as well. Having a YT channel means we sometimes make mistakes. I am not sure if you actually were the person she was talking about in the video but I would hope that she tried to contact you directly if that is the case.

I went and found all these scriptures and videos about having so many verses for prayers and then the prayer bible tabs. I am not saying this to sound mean, but I have quickly discovered this fad after placing several tabs on my bible, that it isn't for me. So, now they are permanently on my bible pages and no way to get them off. I also made a book of the verses for each type of prayer request. Its not about pulling out this small verse to cover something someone has requested prayer for. For me, the entire Bible IS a prayer bible. If it helps people to get into the Word of God, then its a wonderful thing, however, if anyone is stressing about doing it "right" or properly I would take that as something anyone would need to stop and have a good look at and pray for God's direction.
If someone was critical, they probably hadn’t watched many of your videos. Your heart seemed to be in the right place. I’m grateful for your sensitivity with your viewers.

Faith, you absolutely did not need to apologize for a thing. She is the one bullying you by purposely not taking your comments the way you meant them and twisting them into some representation of evil. You never said anything about not praying the scripture. You were reminding people HOW to do it so that they are getting the most out of it and aren't just going through the motions. THAT is what God intended. And there is nothing wrong with making suggestions and critiquing ideas. It's necessary. And you made your comments with love. I completely understood your point in your original video. Honestly, so many of us take scripture out of context and use it in our life to serve our own selfish purposes! A friend of mine had just recently introduced me to the idea of a prayer Bible and as I was researching it came across your video. I was soooo thankful for your tip about context. It is a reminder we all needed- to ensure we are aligned with God’s heart and purpose and not our own sinful desires…especially in our prayer life! I love your heart for the Lord and for TRUTH…which is what you were trying to convey- not that prayer bibles are wrong, but to just be careful with how it’s done and that it’s working with God and not against Him! It would have been much more appropriate for the other content creator to approach you one on one instead of making a video that further divides believers. This was such a lost opportunity to show others how to resolve misunderstandings. I was actually a very disappointed on the video RESPONDING to your original video because it painted you in an extremely bad (and very untrue) light. Criticism is good. Paul publicly criticized Peter in in the Bible. Everyone has the right to speak their own opinions on their own channel . It wasn’t “villainous”. It was helpful criticism that is edifying. That’s the whole idea of speaking the “truth in love”. I wish we as believers would stop jumping to conclusions based on people’s hearts or intentions because we *can’t* see that only God can. I’m sorry this conflict was even an issue as you were in support of what she was doing. You’re not the one that deserved to apologize. God bless both parties involved.

Oh, sweetheart. As a published novelist, who suffers from anxiety, please know this simple truth: If not everyone likes Jesus…and He is God! How much more will everyone not love us or will resonate, understand, agree, our message? If something I’ve done causes someone to reject my work, I become more deeply able to tearfully understand His horrendous rejection by the very people he DIED for. This is a fact, that once you wrap your heart around it, you will be set free. I try to lump the ugly comments in with the beautiful praise. It’s all just one flawed person’s opinion, good or bad, it doesn’t matter. What matters is pleasing God. The annoying and hurtful comments are one of those things that the Lord asks us to embrace. If we suffer the slings and arrows for expressing our love for Him, we win. You are WINNING, beautiful girl! I eagerly await hearing from you, as you have been such a blessing to my own faith walk. Your parents named you well, and that is NO accident. So when you feel attacked, just know that you must be doing something wonderful to further the kingdom. Satan and his minions know that time is short. You are one of their more formidable stumbling blocks, so…you’re in the cross-hairs. (See what I did there? “Cross”-hairs?😂). Faith, what a sweet and humble spirit you radiate in all your videos. I saw the video you're referencing, and I didn't hear anything that seemed ill-intentioned or judgmental... just a sister with some ideas that I thought were important.
I love that you responded to those who heard something different from what you intended. Sensitivity is JESUS through and through. It's NORMAL to have people misinterpret our hearts. I love something you said in this video so much that I'm worrying it down, taking it away with me, and maybe just ironing it out with a touch b of grace for oneself: you said that you were misunderstood by many, and that means you did something "wrong."
This is what I'm writing down for myself: "When my intentions are misinterpreted, I will look without condemning myself for how I may have caused it. Whatever I find in my own delivery that might have been part of it, I will acknowledge to God, myself, and those who were offended, and be aware of it moving forward." You didn't DO something wrong. You spoke with good intentions, and it simply landed wrong with some.

Oh, wow. You didn't do anything wrong. Your approach to scripture is a breath of fresh air. I love how you live the scripture and dig deep into its meaning, walking with the Lord to find understanding. There will be misunderstandings on this journey when others will think you meant something that you didn't mean or say. It sadly happens even among those who are devout and passionate about coming closer to the Lord. Just breathe deeply and know that God has you in His arms and He has them, and all will be well.
I agree with you, Janet. Faith is one of the very few Christian influencers who teaches not only the importance of the context of scripture, but teaches HOW to understand the context (verse mapping, in-depth Bible studies, etc). She goes above and beyond to teach and inspire a love of actually studying the Bible. And she is REAL. She bears all of the fruits of the spirit - love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. I wish there were more authentic Bible study influencers available to us on youtube, because I feel like she bears the load of all who have run from the call of God to do exactly what she is doing. I wish I were qualified to teach as well as she does.

She can share her opinion on any topic that she sees fit, what if it doesn't seem convenient in my opinion is to use parts of another content creator's video and "build" based on an image that the other person created. Building in love is what should be done and the previous video that was uploaded could have been done without the need to "include" the other sister in faith.
I saw your video Friday and honestly found it as a relief. I don’t have time for extra crafts or another Bible project and for me it was a relief to see your prayer journal because I do something similar. But most times I end up talking to God while I’m commuting to work like his sitting beside me. And he is.
I do a Bible study with you on replay and a Bible study with my group at church.
I find myself feeling inadequate when I see women doing crafty journaling and artsy Bibles. When I found your channel, it was such a relief…cuz I work full time, commute and have other responsibilities that require time. And honestly…I’m not crafty. Give me a pitchfork and I will talk to God while I clean stalls.
Each of you women bring something else to the table we can choose to use or scroll by. It’s so sad you felt the need to apologize….or back down off something you felt and something that I personally helped me feel okay about not trying.

I think the point of the prayer Bible is not STUDY. Rather being able to quickly jump to a prayer. So for me, context is very important if I’m doing a Bible STUDY, and I deep dive using reference verses and my Strong’s Concordance to fully understand all the many definitions of words-every word matters, and you must have eyes to see and ears to hear the different spiritual levels of a verse.
HOWEVER, I believe that prayer is powerful and meaningful with out the context. I believe God listens to us and knows our hearts. The Bible is the Living word of God. And anything living, grows and expands and changes over time. And if it’s a LIVING word, then on one level the context changes to fit today. I do not believe that a prayer is any less effective without context of the original verse.
I think the crafty part is for crafty /creative people , but the the gist of prayer bibles could be for anyone. I’ve taken the idea, changed it some to fit ME, and now have specific bibles for specific people with topics to pray for them- a Bible for myself, my grands, the women in the family, the men in the family, and my best friend who is going through some life challenges. I keep my study bible separate for Bible study. I’m a very creative girl lol so I do tab and decorate each one, but not my study Bible.
And sweet girl, I think your apology is unnecessary. Everybody has their opinion, ideas, and things that work best for them. You put out wonderful and meaningful content that helps so many people. I will add, that by apologizing for something that you felt you needed to , you have truly shown a humbled spirit and have set a good example.

I could only make it through the first 5 minutes of this video - please stop!! I watched Friday's video and do not think you did anything wrong at all and were not "judgy", which is such a buzz word. We are not to hypocritically judge, which you did not do at all. You did express good discernment, and appropriate wisdom. Without piling onto you, what I see in this video is you being insecure and fearing man! Please don't be a people pleaser, trust in the the Lord and let the Holy Spirit deal with immature believers who can't accept discerning wisdom from a more mature sister in the Lord. I know you may feel like you can't please anyone, but honestly, it is not your job to please people. Continue to trust in the Lord, speak forth the truth in love and let God handle things.

I went down wrong path for over 20 yrs... My life turned around and changed 9 months ago. And 9 months ago my sister sent me your videos. When I saw Sisteritas criticism video I thought to myself “Faiths next video will be an apology “ this is why I trust and follow your advise. Because you are raw and real and an honest servant of our Lord. It never crossed my mind that you were being offensive at all and I appreciated your input on the prayer bibles as I am working on one for myself because I agree that we need to always consider the context but I also believe a new believer praying scripture out of context is just as powerful. This! I’m always worried about articulating myself in my videos! I’m always asking the advice of my husband! Social media is tricky, because anybody can become a perceived authority. And when it comes to someone's spiritual walk, we know how badly that can turn out. What criticism that normally would be discussed person to person as scripture directs is blasted out to billions of people and can be totally misconstrued.
I am so sad that someone may think that I am criticizing or critiquing prayer Bibles. I actually love them!! But I do have a personal struggle with context. It is personal. And I’ve mentioned that in several videos. If my Prayer Bible videos are watched in order by date, I think it my “Prayer Bible Dangers” video would make a lot more sense. If I have offended anyone, please know that was never ever my intention. 😢

Why are people getting so upset because a few women with a heart for God and utmost respect for the holy Scriptures want believers to remain true to said Scriptures? Nicki doesn't just teach verse mapping and her ministry has been a great blessing to many, many sisters, far beyond the verse mapping process.
Context is important in verse mapping too. Context is always something to be aware of. That’s why praying the scriptures needs to go hand in hand with exegetical study. That’s where Faith and I both are coming from. Praying scripture is great. But rightly dividing the Word is at the same time essential.

The video you made was sincere and was, no doubt, made with the prompting of the Holy Spirit. No need to apologize for that! You are a kind, well-versed (see what I did there!), mature Christian that puts Jesus above about anything else. Oh, I know you’re not perfect; as none of us are. In this instance, I just pray that our Heavenly Father would give you peace and comfort about this situation. You gave credit where it was due and taught as inspired by the Spirit. Case closed. Thank you. I did watch your video and was discouraged and sad, not mad. Discouraged because of the new worry about not doing it the ‘right’ way. Sad because prayer Bibles revitalized my prayer life and I thought I might need to give it up so as not to risk error. I’m not a Bible scholar and I don’t know about context and history. I've been glancing through a lot of these responses and yours is the one I agree w/most thus far. We're not all scholars. We don't all have seminary and/or theological and other extensive biblical background and training and knowledge. Most of us just find or fall upon some RUclips channel that catches our attention and that we like and we feel we can relate with or that makes us feel comfortable and we "subscribe." But let us not forget, we are sisters in Christ, not sisters of or for or in Jessica or Faith or one of other thousands. To offend is a sin. To be offended is also a sin. (I Googled that). Most of us are sheep (me), listening for our Shepherd's voice and trying hard to follow Him. Trying hard to grow in love, faith, hope, charity, His Word, His Way. What us sheep have is an interest, a desire, a true ❤ to be closer to God and his Word. We're trying hard to follow Him like all those who followed Him in the bible. Have you ever thought how beautiful it would be if we could sit down on the grass on a softly clouded day, or under a large shading tree, or on the shore of soft ripples and just be one of them and just Listen to His soft spoken word and all his parables? That thought, wow! Anyway, how we get there doesn't matter. HE knows our ❤. Any way we come to Him, with or without a "nerd" bible, with or without a "prayer" bible, I'm sure makes 0 difference to Him. All He wants is for us to come. Like I posted as my personal response... Grace and dishonor come from speaking and a man's tongue is his downfall. Sirach 5:13.

If you’re scared of using your prayer Bible in the wrong way, then I think that already means you are coming from the right place. Our understanding of the Bible will probably continue to evolve throughout our lives, and I think the same could even apply to scholars. Don’t be too hard on yourself as long as you are using the prayer Bible to deepen your relationship with God.

Search your heart always. There are times in our lives that we can intentionally and unintentionally offend someone. We need to keep scripture in it’s context. You will find spiritual gold in doing so. Your prayers will have much more depth when you take a scripture and pray over it for yourself or someone else. Me personally, I don’t want to scrapbook a prayer bible. I serve in our altar ministry and when I need a scripture I don’t want to be distracted nor do I want the person whom I’m praying with to be distracted by a scrapbook prayer bible, but that’s just my approach. Satan will always try to derail us in our spiritual journey. This video shows your love for the Lord and your humbleness to your followers. 🙏😘

Ok. So I went back and re-watched the original video from Friday. It was exactly as I took your message then. I enjoyed the video both times and felt the Lord teaching through you. I cannot ever tell you the difference you’ve made in my Bible studying. I’m learning so much! I had never done anything more than reading. But you and that ESV interleaved Bible have changed my life! I have no color code… I mark whatever I feel in my heart that I should and in any color I choose. I search my commentary and if necessary, my brand new Bible dictionary! I make notes any and everywhere I want. I feel so emboldened learning more than I ever knew…and I grew up in a parsonage and have been serving the Lord since before I can really remember. My mom told me of when I gave my heart to Jesus. Anyway…your apology video was not necessary-except because you felt that you were led to do it. You are much loved and appreciated, Faith!
I've seen her video, and your from Friday. When I watched her response, I actually wondered if she had really watched yours, because the things she was accusing you of I didn't see. I thought she actually should've reached out to you personally behind the scenes and didn't handle it with much grace. I also felt the same. The sisterita video seemed rushed and aggressive, and honestly, I unsubscribed. It didn't settle well with my soul. I love the prayer bible concept, and I hope she pray she finds in her heart to have grace and forgiveness for any offense she felt. As a new Christian, the back and forth videos get discouraging. I'm praying for the issue to ve settled in peace and love soon.
When I saw sisterita's video, I didn't think she was referring to Faith. I've seen prayer bible criticism videos that annoyed me bcuz I thought they were mean spirited. Faith's video wasn't like that at all. She shouted her out.

I saw your video about "prayer bibles" and took your input with a grain of salt because I could see your zeal and passion for the word come through. I thought it odd that you would critique "prayer bibles" while you have not done so for "bible gardens" "prayer binders" "bible art" or "bible journaling" and specifically because you have not done a "prayer bible" for yourself. we are all in different seasons of our lives and are led in different ways, but our God is one!
Wether is is a fad or not it is a tool that is strengthening the body of Christ and we should be careful not to be a stumbling block for another's walk of faith.

You definitely did not have to apologize you are absolutely correct! The main issue since Christianity has been “modernized” is people taking scripture out of context because they don’t want truth. People don’t want to repent and live a holy life. They want the promises of God and live in sin.

As believers we need correction from other believers especially if your giving biblical correction. There is no way to make it sound cute or fluffy. Just give it straight like it is and if they get upset they are not upset with you they are upset with the word of God. This has happened to me a lot as well since I’ve been a believer and I’ve lost many people I thought we’re friends because of it. Don’t ever apologize for speaking truth. Be bold in the truth and in Jesus! Continue to share the word and praise God for the persecution! 🙏🏾 that means you are doing something right! I’ve had to ask my husband the same thing you asked yours because someone got upset with me for correcting them because they were taking scripture out of context and he said I did nothing wrong and neither did you. Truth is truth and theology is VERY important! CONTEXT IS VERY IMPORTANT!

I feel sad that you felt the need for this video. I thought your comments about keeping things in context was correct and important. I have a Bible that was printed as a praying through the scriptures Bible. In it I have found verses that are prophesies about Jesus mistakenly applied as a prayer one should pray over their own situation in life. So yes, context is important and not too hard to discern if I just read the surrounding verses or the whole chapter. I appreciate your efforts in this video to appease the offended. I watched your video 2 times (the one about prayer Bibles) and I don't think you have anything to apologize for. The points you made were totally spot on with wisdom that we all needed to hear. I'm in the process of creating a prayer Bible (a little different than the Sisterita version), and for every verse or passage I am highlighting as one that can be prayed directly from the text itself, I AM looking at the context so that I DON'T pray it as it was never intended. But I've been doing this for a long time where many have not. Also, I've studied Scripture pretty thoroughly where some others have not. And some don't want to do the harder work of study but rely instead on the verses others are using. In and of itself, while maybe not the best approach (an easier one, yes), it IS a starting point for many, and hopefully a launch pad for greater growth down the road. But Faith, please don't compromise what you believe in your heart. You haven't messed up at all, and you can't control how some may interpret or misunderstand you but your concern for them is admirable. This prayer Bible movement is a fad...which has beautifully caught on and hopefully will continue and progress from a fad to something that will stick for the long haul and have a powerfully lasting impact. Everyone is at different places in their faith walk AND their prayer practice. Sustaining a practice of prayer is hard, even when praying Scripture. There will be disappointments when prayers seem to go unanswered, or God seems silent. Some people sadly will fizzle out in using their prayer Bible...it's the nature of the beast. But for many, using their Prayer Bible will become a lasting tool to draw close to the Lord in prayer. And for that let's praise God.

I can’t think of a better prayer than The Lord’s Prayer! Jesus sums up everything I could want or need in that little bit of text…so I always tend to lean back on that over and over again.
I’m sorry you felt like you needed to apologize. I thought that your tips were spot on. And I’m sorry people took it the wrong way. If they know you, they know your heart and you have no desire to ever hurt anybody.

I thought it was a good idea. This is a wonderful thing to make as gifts for women in homeless shelters, new to the faith, or people that don't know the LORD. Especially with everthing going on in the world today. Then I seen your vidoe and was a little discouraged. I see your prospective, however some people dont know how to study the bible. Some people don't understand the context behind the Words. Sometimes we just need a word from the LORD. Some people are just barley hanging on. We are to bring the GOOD NEWS to them and let the Holy Spirit do the rest. He is the teacher. I believe you were coming from a good place. I love watching your vidoes, and will continue too.

There are men as well as women in shelters who would love to have and benefit from having their own Bible. Marking some prayers and promises is a great idea, too. They need hope and encouragement just like we do.

I started a Prayer Bible but decided to use my own scripture list because of the very reason you stated, not to take scriptures out of context. It was an excellent point. Creating my own list also allowed me to see God even more in scriptures. It was refreshing to find other Bible stories and themes that I previously missed. I appreciate this video, but I 100% agree with your suggestions. Thank you for your heart for God's word and his people.
Faith, it was very humble and gracious of you to make this video. I watched the first one and did not pick up on anything negative or hurtful - and I have a dedicated prayer Bible (encouraged by a Nicki Drake video - she writes out her prayers in the Bible, by the relevant Bible verse). And, I also have a prayer journal. Different things for different seasons/needs. I understand that doesn’t mean others didn’t, for whatever reason, and I’m sorry it’s made you feel badly. I venture to say, most of us know your heart. Breathe easy sweet sister. Thank you for all you do.
I appreciate your apology, to be fair I'm not sure if it is necessary as I did not watch Friday's video. But, I actually committed tonight to creating one after recently finding the Sisterita Club's series. I'm excited because I have not yet been able to build a consistent prayer life. I just bought all of my supplies they will be here Wednesday! I pray it will help me draw closer to God through a consistent prayer life.

❤ I loved your other video. I tried to do the prayer Bible and it was so not for me. I know sometimes that causes people to feel like there is something wrong with them if something that works for all these people doesn’t work for them. I don’t think you did anything wrong. Sometimes we get really sensitive about what we are doing. Sometimes I wonder if it’s us fighting the Holy Spirit because we want things to fit what WE want to do. Not all of us are called to use a prayer Bible. Some people are. We all just need to pray however we end up doing it❤️❤️❤️

i totally got the gist of the first video about Prayer Bibles. I didn't think that you were discouraging people from creating one, the message to me was that not to take it out of context because i also thought about this, what if i highlight some passage and apply it to my prayers and it is actually a different context? For example, one of the most misused verses in the Bible... Jeremiah 29:11 context is key. it was directed to the people of Judah who were in Babylon because of their rebellion and were in exile. when the exile is completed, God will fulfill his promise to them. The point of Jeremiah isn't that God has a plan. It's that those who SEEK Him will be found by Him. God isn't saying you can do whatever you want, my plans will come through. God is saying SEEK ME, be FOUND by me, and i will redeem even the worst decisions of your life. I hope that when we create the Prayer Bible and use it for our prayers, that we are guided by the Holy SPirit and we understand the full context of the passage and how it can be applied to our Lives.

I understood your heart in the first video and thought it was spot on when it came to cautions of jumping on to the “fad” Nikki Drake also put out cautions when she was making her prayer bible, and I think that was the difference. When some viewers saw you not making one, the thought comes that “oh there must be something wrong since Faith isn’t making one and is giving these cautions” I knew that wasn’t the case, but I can’t totally see how people come to that impression.
But context DOES matter and I would hate for you to walk that back fully, we don’t want to be praying Matthew 4:9 asking for prosperity, or provision 👀 context absolutely matters!
I didn’t take it like that at all. Truly it made me feel better that I made one a long time ago but didn’t know it was a thing. After watching your video I felt the same as you in not taking it out of context because I did have passages that I just marked because a list said it applied to something but when I would read it, it didn’t really make sense or apply, it only said “depression” in the passage. I feel like you were just giving the reason why you didn’t have a prayer bible. There are so many ways to make prayer vivid in our own lives and I think you were just remarking on that. I can appreciate you felt moved to apologize but sadly, it was your opinion and gave ways that you pray. We are all working on this together, hopefully everyone can be as forgiving as Jesus.
Dear Faith, I saw an early Prayer Bible video soon after it came out. I thought, “Yes! I have been wanting to pray personal prayers and use God’s own words within them, to focus my prayer in line with God’s will, to pray His promises and His word - b u t… I don’t remember the verses and words I would love to be praying. A prayer bible could be of great benefit! I’m excited to start one, using my own verses and categories. Then I saw your video on Friday. I couldn’t agree more with the message I heard you deliver about priorities and about context. I saw your words as a supplement to prayer Bible advocates , not an indictment or rejection of them. Later, I was left with a hollow, sad feeling when I saw how you had been misunderstood and your true feelings lost along the way. Then something amazing happened, you humbled yourself before God and before all of us with kindness, meekness and gentleness. You offered a heartfelt apology in the interest of reconciliation. “All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation;”
2 Corinthians 5:18 ESV. Watching this video and praying we are all reconciled gave me a renewed sense of joy! Thank you Jesus, and thanking God for you Faith and for Jessica who first introduced me to the concept of a “Prayer Bible”.

My opinion here can be very limited because I never watched the video about the prayer Bibles, but I do have to say, as someone who is working on a prayer Bible currently, I think the single biggest concern with them is if you take a line or two that SOUNDS GOOD, but it's completely outside of its original context. We MUST pray scripture within appropriate context, and it would be extremely valid and appropriate if your original video stated that caution. ❤
I don’t think you said anything wrong however I did cring when she called it villianist…the real issue is people have perspectives and take things differently maybe she just was having a moment of thin skin and heard it as a personal attack rather than caution during the process
She never said it was Faith's video. There were some other creators that were evidently not very nice.

Faith, sweet Faith, your apology was beautiful and humble. I'm 60, been in the faith since I was 22, and I have seen a lot of "fads" in the Christian community. I watched you video on prayer Bibles and found it wonderfully informative and appropriately cautious. You did not bully or bash anyone or anything, but implored with loving kindness to always, always be sincere and honest with God. I'm glad you have a godly husband to seek advice and opinions from. You are beautiful, i love your chanbel, and keep up your ministry as a wife, mom, and leader if young women (and some of us oldsters, too! 😊)

I was one who felt disappointed after watching your other video. I had been wondering if you would post anything about them as it blew up in the Bible journaling community. Then when I watched your video it came across that you really thought of it as a fad and didnt convey the powerful tool that it can be and is for many people. The overall vibe was not as enthusiastic as I was expecting for something that is very transformative for so many. This is my take away without going back to rewatch the video as well i will point out. I think many people could say some similar things about Bible journaling in general. So many content creators about journaling making certain content for the algorithm... You can read and study and still get the wrong context, etc. When I thought about it I tried to look at it from your perspective.. you being someone who is well versed in the Bible.. what it says.. having schooling about it.. already a strong prayer life.. etc. For someone like you perhaps you may have overlooked the value a Prayer Bible has in someone elses life who is struggling in these areas with their walk. I saw the valid criticism about context but thought it was a missed opportunity for encouragement for a movement that was inviting thousands of people into the Word who were seeking a deeper relationship with the Lord. Not something you should be condemned for, however, just an observation. I would actually really love if you DID create a Prayer Bible with verses you did feel were appropriate in context since you are so knowledgeable and respected. People are able to see the light in you and with good reason trust your wise counsel. I hate that you are feeling burdened by all this as it was clear to me, even being disappointed by the other video, that your intent was not to be ugly at all.
The first Prayer Bible video by Jessica popped up on my feed at a time when I was praying for direction in my own prayer life. And I saw so many similar stories. I scowered the internet looking for more inspiration to create my own and at that time there was nothing. I watched as it blew up all over the internet in facebook groups and youtube. I thought wow! Look at all these people revamping their prayer life at the same time. Learning to pray with intention, creating a method to stay focused in their prayer life, get familiar with scripture, speak the Word over their life and the lives of others, creating space for those words to be written on their hearts, sharing the Word and the power of prayer with others, discovering Gods promises in all different areas of life, having confidence in their prayer life, and growing in their faith. People were asking what the Bible says about certain issues they were facing so they could turn to the Lord for answers. I wanted to share a little bit of my thoughts on how powerful this is for so many. I also dont think Jessicas video was soley in response to yours. I have watched many Prayer Bible videos and so many negative comments have been left. Im hoping my wording is not coming across in any way to make you feel even a tad bit negative. I didnt see your video as bad or wrong.. just not what I was expecting and did not make me think any differently about you or the movement. ❤
I think the only disclaimer I would add about prayer bibles is that when we grab a scripture out of context and believe that God made us that promises, only to not have our prayers answered will leave many heartbroken . And then blame God.. when in reality it was out ignorance of the Bible that did the disservice. Now Sisterita did mention God is big enough to help us understand yes. But it also just breaks my heart to see women waiting on specific promises God never made us. 😞 specially ladies who were going through health crisis.
But I’m all for grabbing scripture and digging into the meaning and praying it. Even if it means praying fewer scriptures that we know are for us rather than a list over 100.
Your heart behind your video was in the right place and that matters so much. The tone and words we use definitely matter and can be misunderstood, but I always hope that folks hear my heart as well. Having a YT channel means we sometimes make mistakes. I am not sure if you actually were the person she was talking about in the video but I would hope that she tried to contact you directly if that is the case.
Seriously I never even saw it as a critique or judgement from you, I honestly saw you as pointing people to the whole purpose of prayer bibles which is getting into the word.

I went and found all these scriptures and videos about having so many verses for prayers and then the prayer bible tabs.
I am not saying this to sound mean, but I have quickly discovered this fad after placing several tabs on my bible, that it isn't for me. So, now they are permanently on my bible pages and no way to get them off.
I also made a book of the verses for each type of prayer request. Its not about pulling out this small verse to cover something someone has requested prayer for.
For me, the entire Bible IS a prayer bible. If it helps people to get into the Word of God, then its a wonderful thing, however, if anyone is stressing about doing it "right" or properly I would take that as something anyone would need to stop and have a good look at and pray for God's direction.
If someone was critical, they probably hadn’t watched many of your videos. Your heart seemed to be in the right place. I’m grateful for your sensitivity with your viewers.
Thank you for your humility in sharing this. I personally didn't pick up on anything negative or accusatory in your first video, but... it says a lot about your character that you're being sensitive to how other people felt about it.
Praise God for both of you bringing prayer to a world that so needs it more than ever. God is being removed and we as God's children should not allow this to happen. Stick together and put on the whole armour of God (Ephesians 6). Blessings Friends.

I appreciated you stating real concerns with prayer bibles. I've had those same concerns with starting one. Its wonderful that you are bold to speak truth Faith. You have a beautiful heart Faith, dont sacrifice truth to please others.
Faith, you absolutely did not need to apologize for a thing. She is the one bullying you by purposely not taking your comments the way you meant them and twisting them into some representation of evil. You never said anything about not praying the scripture. You were reminding people HOW to do it so that they are getting the most out of it and aren't just going through the motions. THAT is what God intended. And there is nothing wrong with making suggestions and critiquing ideas. It's necessary. And you made your comments with love. Thank you for not just hopping on board without carefully examining the vessel first.
I completely understood your point in your original video. Honestly, so many of us take scripture out of context and use it in our life to serve our own selfish purposes! A friend of mine had just recently introduced me to the idea of a prayer Bible and as I was researching it came across your video. I was soooo thankful for your tip about context. It is a reminder we all needed- to ensure we are aligned with God’s heart and purpose and not our own sinful desires…especially in our prayer life! I love your heart for the Lord and for TRUTH…which is what you were trying to convey- not that prayer bibles are wrong, but to just be careful with how it’s done and that it’s working with God and not against Him! Also, to make sure we are connecting with HIM and not just using the prayer Bible as a checklist! It’s not just words on a page, it’s HIS words we’re praying to HIM! Much love!!
