People today don't realise how Colour TV changed everything, back in the day when the only home entertainment was 3 TV channels and nothing else.

I remember this. The colour was awful at first and we still watched in b/w. A pal who knew a thing or two told me that it was bad because they used gas to produce the colour??? I have no idea, but it did improve quite quickly. I cant believe the plummy voices though, I must have missed all that? But then again, in 1976 I was veeeeeery busy with my first real love!
