This is part of Chilean culture because Rapa Nui (Easter Island) is part of Chile. Pacific Islanders are considered to be the best Navigators in the world. THAT statement is so true. There are many similarities between the People of Polynesian decent. I look at it this way. My wife is from Hawaii. BIG island. They are the Natives there and deserve the same respect for settling it as the first peoples there. As my Native Heritage allows me on the Mainland here in CALI. Each is it own people though Samoan, Tongan, Hawaiian all similar. Yet different Hopi is not Apache

Ahora si nos vamos a la realidad, si está señora/señorita le dice eso mismo a una persona Rapa Nui la respuesta será contundente y quedará como idiota, ya que ellos no se sienten chilenos en lo absoluto.
