Hi! Listening from Missouri here, from the Columbia congregation. I’m far from being a youth, but I enjoy this podcast so much, I almost always listen on my drive to Sabbath services. Mr. Ames has always been one of my favorite speakers in the ministry. I was born into Worldwide Church in 84, made bad decisions and ended up leaving. I would sometimes still attend the Feast with my Dad and come to services. I was 20 years old at the Feast, I believe in Florida, you could see in my “notes” that they were mostly doodles. I was called during that Feast with Mr. Ames giving the sermon, my notes went from doodles to true notes. I was then baptized when I was 21, I actually spent my 21st birthday counseling for baptism! That’s one of my most treasured memories.
Thank you for the personal stories you all told about Mr Ames. I only met him a handful of times usually most of those at various Feasts. He was always very polite, friendly and warm looking right into my eyes. I believe he visited our congregation twice in Montana which was memorable. We will miss his telecasts and sermons very much.

Thanks! To say he had a serious demeanor about some matters is not to take away from the fact that he was fantastically pleasant. The ability to be focused and serious while simultaneously pleasant and positive is quite a gift!

I have been listening to his sermons back in World Wide and I am happy to say those sermons are just the kind he gave in Global and Living
Loved Mr. Ames and love Phil Sena. Our heart is heavy for his family and esp. Mrs. Ames. Our prayers are with them all.

Truly, Mr. Ames DID "turn many to righteousness", IS turning many, and WILL turn many (through his MANY writings and recordings)!
Thank you for that
I am surprised to hear that Mr Ames was serious in demeanor because he always looks so pleasant in his pictures.
