Deflated is how I feel. PLC board do not run celtic for the benefit of the team or the support. They run the football club for their own small minded ambitions and self interest. Not forgetting their own remuneration. 🍀
Completely nailed it guys one of the best podcasts I have listened to. Just glad that everyone out there is not a happy clapper. League, League cup and possibly scottish cup winners and yet the club somehow manages to deflate you. Could only happen at Celtic.
Would love Lawwell, Tisdale etc having to respond to the brilliant points you have all brought up here. Not many people think about the more money in the bank the more tax you pay. I don't want to be like them across the city and throw it away but there has to be a balance somewhere.

Good pod lads. A board not fit for purpose and it’s been like that since i can remember. Rodgers will be off next summer and Lennon will probably be back. We are not a serious football club.

New to this podcast which is really good apart from the Audio - Eric you sound if you are in a Broom Cupboard and James turn your TV down or off as the feedback is making you hard to make out. Apart from that 👍

James everyone is a Manager, everyone has an opinion, every club has them, that’s why we don’t spend our time, only our money in Asda etc 😂
I have asked this on every podcast but no one can answer, maybe you guys have an idea.
Take the striker out the equation becauss there were other positions that need strengthened and yes sometime we cant get deals doe BUT i sat at the AGM and heard the board tell us how a stadium upgrade wasnt "financially viable" and iv been told that the hotel/museum wouldnt be comercially viable to make money. We were told they know stock piling cash isnt good buisness practics...so..with all that said here is the elephant question in the room guys.
What ARE we going to do with all this money?
Its now over 130million...we couldnt spend that on players even if we tried so do we even know what to do with it?

There is no plan for anything. They just allow the ticket money, Adidas money and Champions League money to build up and pay Corporation Tax on it. Nicholson's claim that a new stand would cost £100m came without any detail of capacity or timespan, a task like that is too ambitious and difficult for accountants, lawyers and politicians to undertake.

The only real mistake at the club was letting Kyogo go before a new striker was hired. The Board had nothing to do with that. Rodgers and the much-vaunted 'Doctor' Tisdale were responsible. Having said all that it's a tribute to the club that we are able to bring in any decent players to a poor league and cold and wet country at all. Some fans need to get real, imv. Would you want to come to Scotland before exploring better opportunities? Apart from a possible future switch to the EPL the CL is our only carrot to offer a player and even that is not a given.

I think this is all a massive over reaction ffs. The squad is stronger than it was on the 1st of January. Kyogo fired balnks for two years under rodgers, and jota will be much more effective in this team. Valle barely kicked a ball and has been replaced by an experienced epl winner.
Anyone thinking Celtic stood a chance against villa with Scales at CH is drinking too much. And anyone suggesting Scales is a better option than Nawrocki needs a word with themselves. Scales is a Rodgers and DD pet. He's terribly out his depth at international and european level.
How can you go from moaning about not signing a £12 million striker, to complaining about the lack of a pathway for the likes of Cummins?
Be careful what you wish for, Celtic one of the best run clubs in Europe.

No , it's not a therapy session James. The window wasn't exceptional but it was OK. Fair enough, we didn't replace Kyogo and I'm sure we're all annoyed, especially with the Bayern game coming up but you're being far too dramatic over this January window. These clubs also go through barren spells in terms of trophies while theyre developing players…I can imagine you all being extremely patient if Celtic were to replicate such teams. LOL

Do you acknowledge that Celtic have purchased three players in the last 6 months in Engels, Idah and Jota for approx £30m, around a third of Celtic’s turnover and greater than 10 of the Scottish Premiership’s 12 team’s total annual turnover?
What is it about Celtic’s domestic dominance in a one team league that makes you three think that a throwing a bit of money about in January will lead to European heroics? 😂
