What you mean by stance cancel? And in what situations do you usually kick confirm? I mostly go for parry bs because it widens your active frames for the bs if you mash r1 I believe?
@@rafaelbrito9519 if you press Triangle + R1 (at the same time basically), the Triangle input will have priority over the R1 input. But, a backstab animation has priority over both. So, instead of just pressing R1 at someone's back, you can press Triangle + R1. If you are within the window for a BS, you'll get the BS. If you miss the BS, you'll just change stances (1H/2H) instead of throwing out a whiffed R1. Kick confirm is great for most BS attempts, since it keeps you in oki if you miss it. Stance cancel is great for moments when you don't have time to kick confirm, and you can also use it for parry bs. The drawback of stance cancel is it will store a stance input upon wake up if you get staggered/backstabbed during a bs attempt. The drawback of kick confirm is they can roll bs your kick. Parry bs works and it's good, but it takes forever to perform. It's super punishable. You can reduce its punishability by canceling the R1 with a stance change (stance cancel), but the parry animation itself is super punishable.
Even if the servers were offline it would still be worth it since the pve is amazing, but if you only interested in the pvp I don't know how active it is
nice vid, you play locked off a whole lot I'd say when you're bs fishing you should play locked on if your opponent is locked on so they don't easily out-circle you, also swapping stances like 2 handing your weapon skips sprint acceleration just like toggling and imo it's better
You can also just hold block to skip the sprint acceleration. Toggling is still good, you just need to do it with purpose. Like, if you kick your opponent or if you get hit by an attack, you can toggle to pyro, run around to their back, and then try to kick confirm the bs. If you get the bs, great; you're a legend. If you fuck up the bs and just kick their back, you can confirm it into great combustion. If you break their poise with the combustion and they don't toggle it, you can go for another bs. If anything, my boy Rafael just needs to stop toggling right hand. Always toggle left unless you're playing cb and you wanna eek out a little more damage with a dagger bs.
I come from ds2 pvp where unlocked is usually better for movement and the lock-on tracking in there is not that reliable depending on your weapon. I'm not used to locked play being so strong so still gotta learn it. About the sprint cancel I watched a video where if you use female chars you don't need to do that since by default they don't have that animation start up lol, pretty weird
Unfortunately I don't use pyros in any of my builds, always been a pure melee guy...if I toggle shield for bare hands is it the same speed as pyro flame? Does the great combustion stagger guarantee a bs attempt? So the only out to it would be standstill?
@@rafaelbrito9519 it's much easier to space when ur locked on, also good strafing counters people who play lock off too much. when ur playing locked off ur camera movement seems messy and you'll probably get smacked with r1s.
I used mostly sl30 for undead parish gravelording, sl55 for anor londo invasions and sl67 for anor londo gravelording. I also use sl133 for oolacile invasions, those are the most populated sl and places for me
It's kinda cool to see you develop within a 10 min video. Learn Stance Cancel and Kick Confirm. They'll take your skills to the next level.

Games pretty dead for me :( at what time do u play and what timezone
Pretty active at lvl 50>60>80.
It seems the only regulars is Oamiens friend group. Sometimes you see jp but 90% of them play local :c
How do u get so many invasions, SL and places to invade?
