A reason why Danish men don't chase or hunt (we do it, but subtle) is we have been taught to respect when a woman say no, its mean no. So if you say no, for "fun" expect it will make a danish man back off. Better to say maybe and smile
I think you are right, but I also know that many people in my country are happily married after then men insisted and didn’t just give up. But I think black men(Ugandan) know that when we say no, we might say yes after a few times. And I think we like to be persuaded and don’t say yes right away. African men are still hunters by nature I think and love the hunting.
It was a shock coming back to Europe as an adult. I was so used to men complimenting me and courting me as I went about daily life in Zimbabwe. Just walking down the street, I would get appreciative remarks and smiles, men stopping their cars to tell me how beautiful I was. And it was rarely threatening, just playful, hopeful, and appreciative. The men in Zimbabwe were(are) really born to pursue women in the most entertaining and endearing ways. When they took me on sneak dates( because my dad would not allow it, they always, always paid. And even paid for friends if it happened to be a group function like a concert. The UK was an enormous shock. It was like the men were (are) frightened of the women or just missing some male chromosomes. Even when you can see they appreciate you, they just hide, blushing behind something. When I was younger it was newspapers, now it's phones.😂😂 I would never pursue a man. If he will not hunt, he must not eat. 😂😂😂😂😂 He has to have a degree of drive, self-confidence, and interest that propels him, without being aggressive, intrusive, rude. It is an artform that boys develop and grow into by the time they are young men. And they never take offence if rejected. They just joke about it together and move onto the next, or if she is the one, they redouble their efforts. 😂😂😂😂
It’s similar here in the US. There are still some men who compliment women however it’s really declined fear that women will consider them a creep and accuse them of sexual harassment; one of the side effects of the me too movement in the west.
Your voice is so .. beautiful, it’s soft, gentle, calming and simply relaxing. I hope to one day hold that soothing presence that you have while speaking.
You are so pretty! I’d love to visit Denmark one day 😊 I have Ugandan friends and they are all so lovely. I’m also an African but moved to North America when I was 18. You gave great tips.
You are spot on,all the points you raised are valid ones we are used to be chased/hunted and being spoiled by our men .Some points about Danes are similar with some Caucasians from other countries. It was a culture shock for me too but I'm good.i hope it would people out there to avoid some faux Pas.Thanks Milly
Exactly. Their cultures are similar and that’s why one may not notice a difference between dating a Germany, Swedish and so on. But yes! I hope black ladies are careful of some faux because they are there and they are many.
im like that... holding doors, taking jacket, pulling chairs, paying some of the bills not all all of time, but i always ask out of politeness if she's comfy with it. I would even do a little "emphasize on little to not be cringe" bow when asking a girl for a dance, because i learned they melt a little🥰🥰 im prolly a rare breed,..... in general we danish need a strong hint from the girl before we make passes, so we are brought up as boys. you and I would get along im sure😘 /Denmark viever
@@Milly_in_denmark Yeah my special Innuit from Greenland..... but in another time and place or life, i would be polite to someone like you to see what could be . more so..... in find the views of the Danish from outsiders interesting, we learn a little when we are told from foreigners
@@Milly_in_denmark thank you also..... did i forget to mention them others as i call them, that seem to think the world evolve around themselves, and they exists everywhere as in Denmark also, be at home, do this, do that, shut up, cause we all know the cliché of that type, a childish man or overly masculine for no reason or combined, the bad tempered idiot, girls be aware and get away from that type and find a new polite and empathic one, humor and conversation is key
African, Arab and some Eastern European men will be insulted if you offer to pay. In my personal experience but American men, certain European men will be honored if you offer. I myself will love not to be hunted. I’m west African living in both the US and west Africa, but it’s not too flattering for me. I don’t like how it feels because they don’t keep it up, it’s just an ego game and when they catch you they’ll keep hunting elsewhere. So I’ll admire danish men being respectful of no. But shivery is imperative. I love to date internationally but i don’t want to be fetishized. I’m 35 and ready to settle down but i don’t want to settle just because.
Very good points. I think it can be annoying to be chased for some , but it’s the culture in my country I think and women have grown up with it. But you have many valid points 😊
@@Milly_in_denmark i understand. It’s definitely the culture in africa all together. It shows a man dominance and i like dominance but i don’t like to feel…uneasy because a guy won’t leave me alone. I wish i just had an arrange marriage. Due to the war, that was no longer possible for many of us.
If you saw the whole video, I mentioned it that women here are very independent and this mentality of a man giving pocket money is not a Danish/European mentality. Women work and have their own money. But of course if someone brings you to Denmark and you have no job, that’s their obligation and I guess the women knows that before she accepts to come here.
