@@maxxam3590 Good question. I think a lot of it has to do with the stigma over English dubs compared to the traditional acceptance of subbed anime. Yes the English version is heavily edited for the first season only and that includes changes like a trip to New York that would not be consistent with the Motto season. The edits also change the content to fit the Y rating for American TV standards so they remove some of the violence such as blood and scratches from Doremi's clumsiness. The English dub has fantastic music from Bree Sharp which and audiophile such as myself loves. Nostalgia also blinds my opinion a little because I was introduced to this anime from the "bad version" from the fandoms point of view. I need to watch the English sub of the first season to confirm the changes but really recommend watching both variants of the first season to any fan of the anime. Cheers!

This is called ojamajo doremi , its one of most popular and best animes ever. You can watch the series at kissanime.com just write- ojamajo doremi and you'll found it. It has 4 seasons and it is very fun to watch. Its a comedy and magic.
Fun Facts: This Ojamajo Doremi series, along with Sharp and Carnival aired in English as a Cloverway dub. This dub was mainly aired in Australia. But it's lost. But Carnival and Sharp were confirmed to of aired on there, but Motto was possibly aired. But some people say it was banned because of some of the episodes having sexual undertones. However, as the dub's lost, we don't know for sure if Motto was aired. Maybe Dokkaan! was aired! Until Carnival and Sharp, and Motto surface, we just have very little info to go off of.
I wish the cloverway series wasn’t lost, hopefully one day someone can find the lost tapes and bring the series back to tv as now they would probably accept motto as a season. But for now I’ve heard rumours of a redub of Ojamajo by Ocean Production, I don’t know if that’s the exact name of the company though.
Well It woud be kinda stupid not dubing Motto but Dubbing Dokkan especialy Because How do you explain than a new Ojamjo poped out of no where, on top of that if I Remember coreactly the only "sexual" content was an episode with a Bra they coud have Simply cut It out.

I'm Italian in Italy they dub the entire 4 Series with close to no cut or modifications (even if the nex time I'll watch I'll use the English sub) and I still cryed no stop at evry season finales so I'm sure they did a good work. But I woud like than the English fan coud get a proper dub of the series considering than soon the film Will come out in Japan and if they want to take It to English speking nations the studio Who Will dubbthe movie shoud also dub the 1999 Series
