I forgot to mention in the video that consistency has been one of the most important elements of my skincare routine. Once I got in the habit, everything became easier. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Everything that goes on my face also goes on my neck and dec as well as hands. Doing this consistently for the last couple of years has shown huge improvement in those areas.
Wow. That’s super elaborate. Not necessary. Just find a simple three step program that has no irritating ingredients. Use it consistently morning and evening. It’s the consistency that’s important, not fancy expensive that companies are pushing.
Thank you Kimberly for sharing your morning skin care routine with us! I follow your channel for some time now and have to admit that I learned a lot. I've been taking a very good care of my skin , but by watching your videos I realized that there were many other products I didn't know I should be using. So, I purchased some of them already. For some time now I noticed that my under eye area is getting worse. I'm getting the under eye bags. I went online and made a research. What I found out is that Nivea firming serum for cellulite is very helpful with that issue. I got the serum and started using it(just a tiny dot, twice a day). This serum goes on my under eye area as a last step after I apply other products. I was surprised when I noticed that my under eye bags started to be less visible. Of course it will take some time to get rid of them, not just a couple of days. I just hope that I'll be able to get rid of them for good. I was wondering if someone else is using this serum and got some improvement. Thank you again Kimberly for another wonderful video!❤
A few weeks ago I started using Cereve healing ointment on my face every night before bed. Ive been getting so many compliments. The past 2 nights I've been trying the Cerave pm face cream instead and this morning I noticed my skin looks blah. Back to the Cereve healing ointment I go! I'm 53.
Very informative. :) You look amazing. NOTE: Many influencers/estheticians have been finding that eye creams are just a company's marketing ploy. They are just a smaller version of their moisturizers that they increase the price of because it is called an eye cream. Just a thought to remember next time you look for eye cream. :)
Kimberly you have the most beautiful smile. I just emailed this video over to my Mom who said to me "I'm sick and tired of putting a million things on in the morning and the night, so I'm going to stop putting anything on". That's what happens when you are just starting out.....you think you need everything under the sun and you don't. Even though I'm not 50 yet I went through the same thing. It would take me 6 hours at night to put all these ingredients on. So I went to a great Derm Dr and she told me this is all I need: Cleanse in the morning. Toner (no alcohol or fragrance) if I want so I put it on, let the toner sit on my face for around 5 minutes, then rinse it off. Then Vitamin C. Robbie, my Derm Dr. told me to get the Timeless Vitamin C - cheap (yea) and it has ferulic acid and vitamin E. Then sunscreen (which I hate but I use lol). At night, cleanse, toner, then I alternate nights Retin A .05 (which Robbie gives me for free because we are friends) and Montarboskincare.com (they are the best) Glycolic Cream. On my neck and I will have to tell my Mom, Gold Bond Neck and Cream moisturizer (cheap) mixed with Montarbo Retinol. My neck cannot handle Retin A - big rashes. And I tried Vit B - big rashes so no Vit B for me. KISS (keep it simple stupid), right Kimberly?
The best thing I did for myself was book an appointment with a skin esthician once I realized my skincare routine was no longer "cutting it." (I was about to turn 50). She was able to tell me what issues I needed to address, and what ingredients I needed to look for in my products to address my specific needs. It was a bit pricey up front, but I saved myself so much time and money over the long run by not purchasing products my skin did not need. A true professional will not try to "push products" on you, but will give you the information you need to purchase the ingredients you need at a price point you can afford. Then I went to work researching and comparing products to meet my individual needs. I now have a routine I love (it is my "me time" every day), that works for me, that I am able to keep consistent. I check back with my esthician every 6 months or so, just to keep on top of my changing needs, because unfortunately, we are aging every day. If you do nothing else, please cleanse, moisturize, and wear sunscreen every day. Then build from there. Exfoliation would be my next recommended step, but I would seek advice before beginning, because different acids are needed for different skin types. Otherwise, you run the risk of making your skin irritated and angry. Finally, I would remind everyone that we are all beautiful in our own unique way, and aging is a blessing. As my Daddy is fond of saying, "it sure beats the alternative."
I use various foaming cleansers. Right now it's Purity. Then in order from The Ordinary: Caffeine solution around my eyes, (really works on my puffy under eyes and eyelids) Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide, Copper Peptides, Squalene, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Moisturizing Factors at least once a day. Sounds like a lot but it really doesn't take long and it is remarkably affordable. Oh, I'm 67
I use the NIOD product, but I felt that I waisted this precious liquid when spraying it directly on my face (4 or 5 pumps on my hair, my clothes, in the air) so I spray it directly in the clean palm of my hand (3 pumps max) and apply it all over my face... Love the product :)
Thank you Kimberly for another great video!! I have been guilty of watching too many RUclips videos and buying the things recommended, then having to figure out how to apply 20 different items to my face! Your MOD squad is the perfect thing to use to figure out what I actually need. I appreciate your guidance so much!
Great Video Kimberly....You are becoming a pro in the beauty industry. I also take good care of my skin, after all I am not a young chic any longer....lol...thanks for taking time in your routine for us....well appreciated........blessings..........MINDY
I love your videos, I'm 63 so I relate best to your information. I watch quite a few people, but look forward to seeing what you have next for us! Hugs Kimberly!!!
I find that the pandemic has allowed me to take my morning time for my skin care routine + my Nuface. I do my face mask around 3-4pm because I can get 30 min. of "calm" time and I just turn on that app or a spiritual pop cast or just calming music. I really love the time to self pamper myself.
I received the Maelove trio (on sale on cyber Monday) about 4 days ago per one of your videos. Prior to that I was making your Vitamin C DIY for about 6 months. I tried all different ways to make even the lowest one, but my skin just didn't like it. My face flaked and peeled all the time, makeup looked terrible. So now I just used the DIY on my upper arms and hands. The Maelove is wonderful after 4 days using it, no peeling or flaking, my skin feels so soft, so this is what I will use. I also use The Ordinary's Lactic Acid 10% for about 5 years, have not seen any improvement in blackheads but I will try your method of concentrating it on my nose area, see if that makes a difference. I don't have blackheads on my chin area. Thanks again for another wonderful video. You are now my favorite because I can relate more to you than some other over 50 ladies that are tall, slim but had some facial work done, which I haven't and you state you haven't. Plus you're from California. Ha Ha
The Ordinary Lactic Acid is a great product but I also suggest using the Paulas Choice BHA liquid.. it is really effective for getting deep into the pores to resolve blackheads and congestion🤗
I feel you girl! I'm turning 50 next month and feel like I've had the same skin care routine since my 20's. Lol so grateful for your channel- very informative. Thank you!
Thankyou for your RUclips channel! I like you have neglected my skincare for most of my life. I’m only 2 years younger than you. I can see though that I can come up just the same way you have.
Did you stop using the City Beauty neck cream? I purchased it and am really liking it and now I’m curious if there’s something I should know. Thanks for all your help.
I love doing my skincare routine. After I wash I use witch hazel to tone I've been doing that for years. Then I use my essence then serums then moisturizer and of course in the daytime sunscreen to end. At night it's more or less the same some different serums and I end with a good oil on my face. And yes what ever is left over I put on my hands. Lol😁😁 moisturize hydrate that's the key for me. Love watching you iam also an over 50 gal 😘😘
Thank you for sharing hope for my 58yr old skin I'm trying to fight the depression and look forward to a new year it's been hard and expensive trying to find a good routine for me 🥶🥶it's cold here in Dallas and I thought I had it down my nightly routine by watching and learning but my body says no no to water I have fight it my skin is dry and itchy 🌵🌵so I'm persistent...women have to do much more to stay in shape and skin routines while my husband slaps on some cologne and calls it a day..xoxo I do most of my routine at night bc of my dry skin but I took your advice and will be making my own vitamin C from the powder ☺💞I'm going to have to make it shorter nightly routine...thank you for all your hard work🥰 you inspire me and I need that wright now...be safe...xoxo 😇🙏😷
I also used to make my own Vitamin C serum, but be careful - you have to make sure it's the right ph or it's not effective. I began to buy the Timeless because it contains the E + Feurilic.
Kimberly have you tried the SIO patches? They are temporary but make quite a difference and the effects last hours depending on how long you leave them on. I bought a chest one and cut it to use on different areas. Cheaper. :)
May I ask a question as you're doing your morning routine I noticed all this moisturizing everything but you do not treat your ears your ears are your skin and part of your face when I treat my face I always include my ears?
As I was doing my morning skin care today, I thought “I wish Kimberly would do an updated morning routine.” Your video was (almost😉) as good as winning the lotto. I’d love an update on your neck care, lotions and devices. You’re the best!
At that age I found the Clinique three step program. The only change over the years has been to use milder versions of the products. I’m now 67 and have good skin. Better than hers. Simple is better. The key is to do your skincare routine faithfully morning and evening. The products don’t even matter that much so long as they are mild without irritants. I used the Neutrogena three steps, cleanse, tone and moisturize for about five years when I couldn’t afford the Clinique.
Good video Kimberly! All good and essential steps in a good skincare routine! The number 1 anti-aging ingredient in my routine is Tretinoin! I’m 49 and can’t live without it!! 🥰👍
I have just started your AM routine from your video Jan 2020. In 4 days i've seen a massive difference in my skin. I spent a lot of money buying all the products including a nuface machine but you aren't using these products in this video. Is there a reason for this? Did you come across any negative effects? Just wondering as i'm really enjoying how my skin is looking (doing the PM one from Dec 2020 too), and my hubby has already noticed a difference. I'm 52 and the two routines have already firmed my skin and reduced the puffiness under my eyes and reduced the wrinkly bits. I have never had a skin care routine but now i'm loving how my skin looks, but also wondering if i should be changing it to this one. I'm a little confused so your guidance is much appreciated.
I am new to your channel and enjoying it. I love the Tonymoly greent tea--it smells wonderful. I actually apply mine before my red light therapy as I understand the green tea really amps up the benefits of the red light.
I love the TonyMoly Green Tea moisturizer!! It's light, but effective, been using it for about a year, so far so good. I wonder if the NIOD Super Oxide Saccharide Dismutase Mist has been discontinued? I used to see it on their site even if it was out of stock, but now it doesn't come up at all.
Hi,I would love to know more about your red light therapy.would you do a video?I'd love to know if your happy with it,where you have it set up,how long u use it for,see results, etc.I am interested in purchasing one.Have you used it for pain at all?Really enjoying your videos,Thanks😙
Hello i bought the City Beauty InvisiCrepe Body Balm for my neck after i saw your results - im in my sixties took pictures did almost two months and no improvement at all- was there any thing else you used on your neck when you showed your neck photos?
Hi, did you see any improvement with the red light ? Also I just made my first diy vit c, followed your diy. Would you still advise and think it’s as effective as the one you bought? Thank you, love you and your concept ❤️
I started the Niod Fractionate eye concentrate and I love it and the amino+B5 as a hydrator before my neutrogena retinol cream and love it as well. I am curious, I did not know you can use Lactid acid over vit C? Isn’t irritating? Also, another youtuber recommended Dermatology peptide cream have youvtried it?
Hi Kimberly thank you for sharing your skincare routine. Found it very helpful and informative. Kimberly you forgot to mention what's in your cup of Joe? 🤣 Lol! Have a nice day. 😉☃️🎄
@@PrettyOverFifty that’s how I feel I should start the morning routine.....except I’m new to this (I’m 63, but better late than never!) and I keep seeing posts saying you should cleanse in the morning too, because of the build up of oils and dead skin during the night. But it’s drying - especially using a flannel. I think I’ve damaged my skin barrier feels at the moment. Thank you for all your fantastic help xx
@@PrettyOverFifty most days I do that too - especially now with the weather being cooler and dry. Thank you for all your videos :) I watched the ones about making the vitamin c and hyaluronic serums today - I am totally doing that! I looked on ETSY and you can purchase small amounts of vitamin c and hyaluronic acid powder from various sellers.
Isn't the Vitamin C, Lactic Acid and Hyaluronic Acid a lot of acids on one's face? I was worried watching you layer these on. Do you allow time, between the next acid being applied, and I guess they played, NICE with you. I heard certain chemicals need to be done either in the morning, night or an alternate days. Please if you may, do a video concerning these issues, and clarify.. I shouldn't question especially when you look fabulous. Thank you.
Am I missing this? But you don't do retin-a? You look really good for your age. I'm 58 and I'd look better if I felt better about myself and lost 10 to 20 pounds. You do use retin-a. Ok
I think the skin care routine is unrealistic for someone who works. I need a skin care routine, that I can get out of bed, shower, put creams etc on my face, makeup and off to work. Also, I ordered the NIra and luckily, I read the insert before I tried it. It indicates this product should not be used if you have or have had cancer. Not just skin cancer but any type of cancer. Doesn't that make you wonder why? Maybe it's not good for you or anyone to use. Maybe you can create the "working women" skin care routine.
I Luv watching ur reviews. But my dear You don't need that much stuff! I've been in the Beauty Biz for a Very Long Time! I'm 60 and Women our age need Only a good cleanser, No One! Ever needs a double cleanse. That was s all hype from the Beauty Industry. So 1 cleanser, a Toner, a Treatment Serum, an Eye cr. And a great Moisturizer, and a weekly scrub. That's it. I have seen the Beauty Industry Go Crazy! With all of this Nonsense! Getting Women into thinking that they NEED! A bunch of products! It's all for marketing! But Women, fall for it! Especially with all of these Beauty Channels. Remember Ladies, Less, is More! Anyway, Luv ur reviews my dear. GodBless🙏
@@sandraelrod7492 Go to Paula's Choice. She makes a number of Toners that are Very Very Good. Pick one according to your skin type. InFACT her skincare line is one of the Best! It's not super expensive, And her ingredients are Great! She wrote the book. Don't go to the Cosmetic Counter without me. I have 2 of her Books. It's the ingredient list that you have to really read, before buying Any Skincare Item. Because you don't want anything that could cause a breakout, or skin reaction to happen. I've tried Many! Skincare lines out there! And I have worked for some of the most expensive lines out there. So I do know alot about Ingredients these skincare lines put in their products. You don't want to spend ur money on products that are nothing but fillers and pore clogging. So that's another reason why I suggest trying Paula's Choice. The products are Very Good! With great ingredients. Hope that info helps.

Hi,I would love to know more about your red light therapy.would you do a video?I'd love to know if your happy with it,where you have it set up,how long u use it for,see results, etc.I am interested in purchasing one.Have you used it for pain at all?Really enjoying your videos,Thanks😙
Are you not using Buffet anymore? From the Ordinary.
You should include a essence
Thank u for sharing. U look much younger than your age.
What does the tape do
How do you incorporate skin oil into your skin care?
Hello i bought the City Beauty InvisiCrepe Body Balm for my neck after i saw your results - im in my sixties took pictures did almost two months and no improvement at all- was there any thing else you used on your neck when you showed your neck photos?
@@dannagordon9618 cost alot so disappointed
You beautiful, you not wrinkly at all, I have a question can all serum go in a make up refrigerator?
I keep all of mine in a makeup refrigerator (Vitamin C, lactic acid, niacinamide, the green tea moisturizer).
So the fab 4... do you have any that are your favourites? Found them..
Your smile is contagious 💕😀
what goes after sunscreen, primer?
Hi Kimberly thank you for sharing your skincare routine. Found it very helpful and informative. Kimberly you forgot to mention what's in your cup of Joe? 🤣 Lol! Have a nice day. 😉☃️🎄
have you used any of ordinary's vitamin c products?
Are you happy with your Nora? How can u compare it with Nuface? If one has to buy one which one would you recommend?! 🤔
I have several videos on the channel that will answer those questions and more!
Thank you for sharing!!
I have dry skin and l have seen that niacinamide may not be good for dry skin. What would you recommend?
You may want to start slow and see how your skin does. Thanks for stopping by!
Ok, thanks
Is it ok to DIY HA serum? Thank you!
I am a new subscriber and noticed you didn’t really wash your face with a cleanser in this video. Is this something that you only do at night?
That was my thought too.
can we have a pm routine too
What exfoliant do you recommend? I am 50 and what to start with your recommendation of the fab 4.
Check out kiehls
What would you suggest to use for exfoliate-fab 4?

You can check out my Beginning Skincare Playlist above - I go into that topic. Thanks for watching Marcie!
Do you not wash your face in the morning?
Yes, I was thinking this too...
I just rinse my face with water in the morning. Thanks for watching Lisa!
Thank you.
Hi Kimberly !! Is there an email I can contact you on? Thanks!!! 💗

Hi Leah, you can reach me at prettyoverfifty@gmail.com.
Btw, where did you buy your protective googles? I need to get some
I am also interested in knowing.
I thought you puy hyaluronic acid on first?
GodBless🙏
What do you recommend for a toner?
Honestly this seems like way too much work. I'll deal with whatever nature gives me!
very well done - enjoy your teaching
why not include the biggest elephant in the room ?
your over 60s
