- Filmed herein is a typical sequence of evening departures from my Harrington Street terminus fictitiously placed in Chelsey, London, directly above the Earls Court Tube Station!
The scenario consists of recently outshopped Std Class 5 (73081) departing on a Semi-fast to Salisbury via the West London Line, Clapham Junction, East Putney and Wimbledon, followed later by Std Class 4 (75078) on a 'Businessmen's' service to Sevenoaks via Factory Junction. We also see the two pilot locomotives - M7 (30024) of Nine Elms Shed and C Class (31510) of Gillingham Shed, (soon to be reallocated to Nine Elms, of all places, owing to the new Kent Coast electrification), which arrived with empty coaching stock (ECS) from their own sections of the Southern Region of BR, each departing to Brompton Road MPD for servicing. A brand new Crompton diesel arrives with a Semi-Fast from Folkstone and last but not least is the ex-Southern Region Bulleid/Raworth 1Co-Co1 No.10203 departing on an LMR express to Liverpool via the West London Line and Willesden (redirected owing to civil engineering work at Euston). It is viewed again emerging under a fly-over in Suburbia. One day I'll power up my colour light signals and sow some grass for my scenery!
